As the wind turbine height increases,the probability of multiple upward leaders flashes within the wind farm increases.In this study,an upward lightning flash containing 21 upward positive leaders(UPLs)initiated from different wind turbines in Zhangbei Wind Farm was analysed.The average speed of the UPLs was 1.2×10^(5) m/s,which mostly decreased to zero before reaching the cloud height.Only four UPLs developed to cloud height,with prolonged periods of bright light on three of them and with a minimum duration of 126 ms.A total of nine return strokes occurred on the other two dissipated leader channels,and the numbers of strokes on the two channels was six and three,respectively.The average interstroke interval for the return strokes was 10.5 ms.Most of these nine return strokes had peak currents smaller than 10 kA.The high-speed video frames confirmed that competition does exist between the UPLs,and the range of shielding effects increases as the height of the ULs increases.The effect of fan rotation on the initiation of upward leaders and the shielding effect between the wind turbines and upward leaders are discussed.

Advanced carbon emission factors of a power grid can provide users with effective carbon reduction advice,which is of immense importance in mobilizing the entire society to reduce carbon emissions.The method of calculating node carbon emission factors based on the carbon emissions flow theory requires real-time parameters of a power grid.Therefore,it cannot provide carbon factor information beforehand.To address this issue,a prediction model based on the graph attention network is proposed.The model uses a graph structure that is suitable for the topology of the power grid and designs a supervised network using the loads of the grid nodes and the corresponding carbon factor data.The network extracts features and transmits information more suitable for the power system and can flexibly adjust the equivalent topology,thereby increasing the diversity of the structure.Its input and output data are simple,without the power grid parameters.We demonstrated its effect by testing IEEE-39 bus and IEEE-118 bus systems with average error rates of 2.46%and 2.51%.

Background:Acute gouty arthritis(AGA)is an inflammatory joint disease with a high prevalence.Typical medical interventions,including nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,colchicine and glucocorticoids,can have serious adverse reactions.Huzhang Granule(HZG),a compound Chinese herbal medicine,has been used to treat AGA for more than 30 years with satisfactory effects and no significant adverse reactions.However,the efficacy and safety of HZG in AGA patients remains unknown.Objective:The present investigation was designed to examine the efficacy and safety profile of HZG in managing AGA patients.Design,setting,participants and interventions:The current study was conducted as a noninferiority,randomized controlled clinical trial on 180 eligible enrolled participants.Participants were randomly assigned into the HZG and etoricoxib groups.Treatments were administered for 5 d,during which the HZG group received HZG and placebo etoricoxib,while the etoricoxib group received etoricoxib and placebo HZG in the same ratio(1:1).Main outcome measures:The primary outcome was pain experienced by the patient in the gout-afflicted joint from days 2 to 5 of the treatment window.The pain level was measured via a visual analogue scale,ranging from 0 mm to 100 mm.The secondary outcomes comprised joint tenderness and swelling,reduction of inflammatory biomarkers,and the patient’s and investigator’s global evaluations of therapeutic response.Results:The mean reduction in pain was-51.22 mm(95%confidence interval[CI],[-53.42,-49.03]mm)for the HZG and-52.00 mm(95%CI,[-54.06,-49.94]mm)for the etoricoxib groups.The mean difference between the two groups was 0.78 mm(95%CI,[-2.25,3.81]mm).All additional efficacy endpoints,covering decreased inflammation and pain relief,yielded compelling proof of noninferiority.Patients in the HZG group exhibited a comparatively lower rate of adverse events compared to those in the etoricoxib group(4.44%vs 13.33%;P≤0.05).Conclusion:HZG and etoricoxib groups demonstrated similar levels of analgesic effectiveness

Autophagy is a cellular process in which proteins and organelles are engulfed in autophagosomal vesicles and transported to the lysosome/vacuole for degradation.Protein–protein interactions(PPIs)play a crucial role at many stages of autophagy,which present formidable but attainable targets for autophagy regulation.Moreover,selective regulation of PPIs tends to have a lower risk in causing undesired off-target effects in the context of a complicated biological network.Thus,small-molecule regulators,including peptides and peptidomimetics,targeting the critical PPIs involved in autophagy provide a new opportunity for innovative drug discovery.This article provides general background knowledge of the critical PPIs involved in autophagy and reviews a range of successful attempts on discovering regulators targeting those PPIs.Successful strategies and existing limitations in this field are also discussed.

Multi-view multi-person 3D human pose estimation is a hot topic in the field of human pose estimation due to its wide range of application scenarios.With the introduction of end-to-end direct regression methods,the field has entered a new stage of development.However,the regression results of joints that are more heavily influenced by external factors are not accurate enough even for the optimal method.In this paper,we propose an effective feature recalibration module based on the channel attention mechanism and a relative optimal calibration strategy,which is applied to themulti-viewmulti-person 3D human pose estimation task to achieve improved detection accuracy for joints that are more severely affected by external factors.Specifically,it achieves relative optimal weight adjustment of joint feature information through the recalibration module and strategy,which enables the model to learn the dependencies between joints and the dependencies between people and their corresponding joints.We call this method as the Efficient Recalibration Network(ER-Net).Finally,experiments were conducted on two benchmark datasets for this task,Campus and Shelf,in which the PCP reached 97.3% and 98.3%,respectively.

THIS year,the International Energy Agency(IEA)published its Global EV Outlook report under the title“Moving Towards Increased Affordability.”It noted,“A rapid transition to EVs(electric vehicles)will require bringing to the market more affordable models.”Last year,the global sales of EVs approached 14 million,an increase of 35 percent from 2022,accounting for 20 percent of sales of all automobiles.The top three markets were China(60 percent),Europe(less than 25 percent),and the U.S.(10 percent).

Anxiety disorders have become one of the most severe psychiatric disorders,and the incidence is increasing every year.They impose an extraordinary personal and socioeconomic burden.Anxiety disorders are influenced by multiple complex and interacting genetic,psychological,social,and environmental factors,which contribute to disruption or imbalance in homeostasis and eventually cause pathologic anxiety.The selection of a suitable animal model is important for the exploration of disease etiology and pathophysiology,and the development of new drugs.Therefore,a more comprehensive understanding of the advantages and limitations of existing animal models of anxiety disorders is helpful to further study the underlying pathological mechanisms of the disease.This review summarizes animal models and the pathogenesis of anxiety disorders,and discusses the current research status to provide insights for further study of anxiety disorders.

High-chromium vanadium-titanium magnetite(HCVTM)is a valuable resource containing metal elements such as iron,vanadium,titanium,and chromium.To recycle these elements,direct reduction is an efficient way.The mechanism and reaction kinetic parameters for the direct reduction of HCVTM were studied.Experimental results show that the reduction degree increases obviously when the C/O ratio and temperature increase.Thermodynamic analysis showed a dramatic mass loss in the direct reduction of HCVTM in the temperature range of 985-1160℃.From 1200 to 1350℃,the reduction curves for the isothermal reduction of HCVTM followed the same trend,with a sharp increase in the initial reaction zone and a slight increase in the reduction rate with increasing time,and finally,the isothermal reduction process of HCVTM was divided into several limiting stages with varying degrees,with inconsistent limiting factors for the reaction rate at different stages.The results also show that the activation energy decreases slightly at larger degrees of reduction.Also,the apparent rate constant k(T)increased with increasing reduction temperature,with lnk(T)showing a good linear relationship with temperature.

With the dramatic developments of renewable and environmental-friendly electrochemical energy conversion systems,there is an urgent need to fabricate durable and efficient electrocatalysts to address the limitation of high overpotentials exceeding thermodynamic requirements to facilitate practical applications.Recently,tellurium-based nanomaterials(Te NMs)with unique chemical,electronic,and topological properties,including Te-derived nanostructures and transition metal tellurides(TMTs),have emerged as one of the most promising electrocatalytic materials.In the absence of comprehensive and guiding reviews,this review comprehensively summarizes the main advances in designing emerging Te NMs for electrocatalysis.First,the engineering strategies and principles of Te NMs to enhance their electrocatalytic activity and stability from the nanostructures to the catalytic atoms are discussed in detail,especially on the chemical/physical/multiplex templating strategies,heteroatom doping,vacancy/defect engineering,phase engineering,and the corresponding mechanisms and structure-performance correlations.Then,typical applications of Te NMs in electrocatalysis are also discussed in detail.Finally,the existing key issues and main challenges of Te NMs for electrocatalysis are highlighted,and the development trend of Te NMs as electrocatalysts is expounded.This review provides new concepts to guide future directions for developing Te NMs-based electrocatalysts,thereby promoting their future wide applications in electrochemical energy systems.
