ZnO Incorporated Acrylamide Grafted Chitosan Based Composite Film for Advanced Wound Healing Applications

This study was carried out to prepare ZnO nanoparticles incorporated acrylamide grafted chitosan composite film for possible biomedical application especially drug loading in wound healing. ZnO nanoparticles were prepared by co-precipitation method from zinc acetate di-hydrate and incorporated in acrylamide grafted chitosan. FT-IR and TGA of the prepared composite film confirmed the successful incorporation of ZnO nanoparticles in the acrylamide-grafted polymer matrix. SEM images showed that the ZnO nanoparticles were homogeneously distributed on the porous matrix of the composite film. Water uptake and buffer uptake analysis revealed that the composite film could hold water and buffer sufficiently, which facilitated the absorption of exudate from the wound site. Amoxicillin was loaded in the prepared composite film and the maximum loading efficiency was found to be 67.33% with drug concentration of 300 ppm. In vitro studies showed greater antimicrobial activity of drug-loaded composite film compared to both pure film and standard antibiotic disc. Finally, the In vivo mouse model showed maximum healing efficiency compared to conventional gauge bandages because the loading of antibiotic in the film produced a synergistic effect and healing time was reduced.

Credit Card Fraud Detection Using Machine Learning Techniques

Credit card companies must be able to identify fraudulent credit card transactions so that clients are not charged for items they did not purchase. Previously, many machine learning approaches and classifiers were used to detect fraudulent transactions. However, because fraud patterns are always changing, it is becoming increasingly vital to investigate new frauds and develop the model based on the new patterns. The purpose of this research is to create a machine learning classifier that not only detects fraud but also detects legitimate transactions. As a result, the model should have excellent accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score. As a result, we began with a large dataset in this study and used four machine learning classifiers: Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree, Naïve Bayes, and Random Forest. The random forest classifier scored 99.96% overall accuracy with the best precision, recall, f1-score, and Matthews correlation coefficient in the experiments.

The rapid growth of Internet of Things(IoT)devices has brought numerous benefits to the interconnected ***,the ubiquitous nature of IoT networks exposes them to various security threats,including anomaly intrusion *** addition,IoT devices generate a high volume of unstructured *** intrusion detection systems often struggle to cope with the unique characteristics of IoT networks,such as resource constraints and heterogeneous data *** the unpredictable nature of network technologies and diverse intrusion methods,conventional machine-learning approaches seem to lack *** numerous research domains,deep learning techniques have demonstrated their capability to precisely detect *** study designs and enhances a novel anomaly-based intrusion detection system(AIDS)for IoT ***,a Sparse Autoencoder(SAE)is applied to reduce the high dimension and get a significant data representation by calculating the reconstructed ***,the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)technique is employed to create a binary classification *** proposed SAE-CNN approach is validated using the Bot-IoT *** proposed models exceed the performance of the existing deep learning approach in the literature with an accuracy of 99.9%,precision of 99.9%,recall of 100%,F1 of 99.9%,False Positive Rate(FPR)of 0.0003,and True Positive Rate(TPR)of *** addition,alternative metrics,such as training and testing durations,indicated that SAE-CNN performs better.

Development and Validation of Integrated Nutrient Management Practices of Industrial Processing Varieties: Asterix and Courage in Bangladesh

An experiment was meticulously conducted at the research field of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Gazipur, Bangladesh, during the 2011-2012 potato growing season to develop integrated crop management practices for the potato seed production of industrial processing varieties Asterix and Courage. Significantly, higher growth and yield parameters were found in the BADC-recommended practice. Later, another experiment was conducted to validate the BADC practice during the 2013-2014 potato growing season in two locations in Bangladesh. Results showed that the production of tuber per hill, tuber weight per hill as well as gross tuber yield per plot, higher proportion of storable seed tubers, and more quality seed potatoes (A-grade and B-grade) seed tubers were found significantly higher in the “BADC developed practice” compared to other treatments. Viral diseases (PLRV and PVY) prevalence was lower in “BADC developed practice”. Moreover, “BADC developed practice” contributed more economic yield by minimizing input cost compared to “Munshiganj advanced farmers’ practice”. Therefore, the “BADC developed practice” was found “superior” regarding yield, quality, and profitability in seed potato production of industrial varieties—Asterix and Courage in Bangladesh.

Toxicological and Life-Cycle Perspectives on Waste-Derived Nanoparticles

Many nanoparticles have been created over the last few decades using a variety of techniques and used to develop environmental technology, including water treatment, the detection of persistent contaminants, and soil and water remediation. The studies of alternative inputs for nanoparticle production as well as the use of green synthesis techniques are driven by the field of materials science and engineering’s growing interest in increasing the sustainability of the processes involved in their production. In this paper, we begin by providing an overview of the fundamental principles of producing nanoparticles from different sources, such as plastic, electronic, metal, and industrial waste. We elaborate on key facts of waste identification as a workable input for the treatment and recovery of metal and carbon-based nanoparticles. We next go over several controlling factors that play a role in creating nanoparticles, pointing out probable conclusions as we go. Then, we show some instances of waste-derived nanoparticles used in a proof-of-concept experiment of technology for applications in water quality and safety. Before scaling up production and implementing waste-derived nanoparticles, there are several present problems from the toxicological and life-cycle perspectives that must be taken into account.

供热通风与空气调节（Heating,Ventilation and Air Conditioning,HVAC）系统是大型建筑的重要组成部分之一,在商业超市、高层写字楼、室内体育场馆等建筑中广泛使用。HVAC系统的能耗优化控制是建筑设计中的重要问题,也是使用HVAC系统的业主特别关心的问题。实现对HVAC系统能耗的预测是对其进行优化控制的前提,本论文基于受限玻尔兹曼机（Restricted Boltzmann Machine,RBM）和人工神经网络（Artificial Neural Network,ANN）提出了一种预测HVAC系统能耗的新模型。新模型利用了RBM强大的特征提取能力和无监督学习能力,同时利用了ANN的非线性拟合能力。首先,输入训练数据对RBM进行预训练,使得RBM能够自主提取数据的隐含特征信息以供ANN进行学习;然后,将学到的隐含特征信息与原始输入进行有机组合,形成一个协调一致的集合;最后,将整个集合作为输入数据对ANN进行训练,得到预测模型。为了测试新预测模型的准确性,本文利用重庆市某大型商业超市的真实HVAC能耗数据进行数值实验。实验结果表明,新模型的特征提取能力和预测能力都明显高于单独使用RBM或ANN时的结果,与其它HVAC系统能耗预测模型的对比试验结果也表明该预测模型具有较高的准确性。具体指标表现为该模型的平均绝对误差（Mean Absolute Error,MAE）为0.1541%,均方误差（Mean Square Error,MSE）为0.3405%,均方根误差（Root Mean Square Error,RMSE）为0.5835%,均处在一个极低的水平,拟合度值（R）为1,也处于一个较好的水平。数值实验的结果表明本文提出的新模型是准确可靠的,能够用于HVAC系统能耗预测。本文提出的HVAC系统能耗预测模型有望应用于实际的HVAC能耗预测中,为HVAC系统能耗优化控制提供准确的预测保障,同时为HVAC系统能耗预测问题的研究提供新的视角。

外商直接投资(FDI)对于任何国家的经济发展都是一个重要因素。FDI影响国民经济增长率的因素有很多。当FDI进入东道国时,会产生大量的商业机会。东道国员工就业机会也会随之增加,从而降低失业率,最终会提高其国内生产总值的增长率。通过获得外资,企业可以将业务拓展到世界各地,不同领域的基础设施也会得到发展,所有这些因素都会影响经济的扩张。因此,本文进行了研究以确定FDI对南亚区域合作联盟国家经济增长的影响。本文首先分析了南盟国家FDI和经济增长的现状特点。研究发现南盟国家的FDI和国内生产总值增长各不相同。印度的FDI在2020年达到646.6亿美元的峰值,然后下降。2022年,孟加拉国和阿富汗的FDI分别增加至15.6亿美元和130亿美元。而斯里兰卡、巴基斯坦和尼泊尔分别降至10.8亿、13.4亿和950亿美元,不丹和马尔代夫几乎没有FDI。此外,南盟各国的国内生产总值增长差异很大,反映了经济困境和复苏。然后,从直接影响和间接影响两个方面,理论分析了FDI对经济增长的影响。研究发现,FDI可以直接造成资本冲击,并通过影响其他经济因素间接影响东道国经济增长。FDI将直接或间接增加出口,弥补发展中国家进口资金短缺,建立外部经济平衡。接着,采用2013-2022年的数据,选取出口规模、进口规模、通货膨胀率和失业率作为控制变量,运用最小二乘法(OLS)、随机效应模型、固定效应模型和可行广义最小二乘法(FGLS)等实证方法分析了FDI对南盟国家经济增长的影响。通过实证结果发现,FDI会对南盟国家经济增长产生显著的正向影响,FDI规模越大,经济增长率越高。因此,可以说FDI是国民经济增长率的重要贡献者。最后,根据以上分析,得到如下政策启示:东道国需要简化各种类型的监管要求,以便设立和经营企业;采取保护措施,解决外国投资者在法律问题和争端方面的各种担忧;加强职业培训和适当的教育,培养适应能力强、熟练的劳动力;提供一些税收激励和免税政策;改善产业结构,提高人力资本水平,增强竞争力;为了更好地吸引FDI,政府需要进一步扩大向外界开放的经济部门,提高整体经济的国际化水平。

Effect of Exchange-Correlation Functional on the Structural, Mechanical, and Optoelectronic Properties of Orthorhombic RbSrBr3 Perovskite

In the present study, the effect of the exchange-correlation functional on the structural, mechanical, and optoelectronic properties of orthorhombic RbSrBr3 perovskite has been investigated using various functionals in Density Functional Theory (DFT) with the CASTEP code. The optimized lattice parameters are quite similar for all the functionals. The electronic properties have shown that RbSrBr3 perovskite is a wide direct band gap compound with a band gap energy ranging from 4.296 eV to 4.494 eV for all the functionals. The mechanical parameters like elastic constants, Young’s modulus, Shear modulus, Poisson’s ratio, Pugh’s ratio, and an anisotropic factor reveal that the RbSrBr3 perovskite has ductile behavior and an anisotropic nature which signifies the mechanical stability of the compound. The Debye temperature might withstand lattice vibration heat. High absorption coefficient (>104 cm−1), high optical conductivity, and very low reflectivity have been found in the RbSrBr3 perovskite for all functions. The computed findings on the RbSrBr3 perovskite suggested that the presented studied material is potentially applicable for photodetector and optoelectronic devices.
