Partially exfoliated nanocomposite （2） has been synthesized by intercalation of poly（propylene carbonate）（PPC） into commercial clay, Cloisite 20B （PPC/C-20B）. Nanocomposite 2 was characterized phiso-chemically and exhibited high thermal, mechanical and anti-water sorption properties as compared to PPC and intercalated nanocomposite （1） of PPC/C- 20B having same amount of clay. TGA results revealed that the thermal decomposition temperature （Td, 50%） of 2 increased significantly, being 40 K and 17 K higher than that of pure PPC and 1, respectively, while DSC measurements indicated that the nano-filler dispersion of 2 increased the glass transition temperature from 21℃ to 31℃. Accordingly, 2 showed high elastic modulus, hardness and anti-water absorption capacity. These thermal, mechanical alad anti-water absorption improvements are of great importance for the application of PPC as packaging and biomaterials.

Significance of body material and temperature variation on burning time and burning rate of Si/Pb O/Pb_3O_4/FG and B/BaCrO_4/FG pyrotechnic delay compositions were experimentally studied. Brass and stainless steel were used as delay body materials. High resolution oscilloscope and a customized chronometer were simultaneously used for the measurement of burning time and burning rate. Results reveal that brass material with controlled column dimensions reduced the variation in burning time of Si/Pb O/Pb_3O_4/FG delay mixture from 7.43% to 4.17% and that of B/Ba CrO_4/FG mixture from 16.83% to 9.39%.Similarly the variation in burning rate was reduced from 7.57% to 4.12% and from 17% to 9.69% for Si/Pb O/Pb_3O_4/FG and B/BaCrO_4/FG mixtures respectively. Si/PbO/Pb_3O_4/FG delay mixture was also subjected to temperature ranging from -54℃ up to+100℃. The burning rate of this composition varied linearly with temperature. Burning rate increased from 28.01 mm/s to 34.38 mm/s when the temperature was varied from -54℃ to +100℃.

Traumatic brain injury(TBI)is a major cause of morbidity and mortality *** significant medical advances over recent decades,many survivors of TBI develop long term neuro-cognitive ***,only moderate and severe injuries were thought to account for the devastating consequences of ***,there is increasing evidence that even milder injuries may result in problematic lifelong cognitive and affective *** is typically characterized by an an acute physical injury followed by a protracted innate neuro-inflammatory *** reponses,mediated via neuronal,astrocyte and microglial cells,amongst others,and may result in widespread neuronal death and a micro-environment that is not conducive to brain repair(Manivannan et al.,2021).Whilst the primary physical injury often evades intervention from a medical perspective,the subsequent neuro-inflammatory response offers a potential therapeutic ***,effective pharmacological strategies continue to elude clinicians and scientists due to the complex underlying pathogenesis and difficulties of modelling such a heterogeneous ***,the majority of research to date has focused on investigating the effects of post-traumatic neuro-inflammation on grey matter injury rather than the consequences upon white matter(WM),which contributes greatly to cognitive dysfunction across many neurological diseases(Filly and Kelly,2018).Herein,we will briefly discuss:(i)high mobility group box protein 1(HMGB1)as a potential therapeutic target;(ii)the relevance of WM injury in TBI and current understanding of WM repair following injury;and(iii)perspectives on how HMGB1 may play a role.

Background:When a privately owned firm or privatized government entity raises capital by selling its stocks for the first time to general public,is known as initial public offering(IPO).The underpricing phenomenon and ownership structure are important characteristics of IPO process that significantly affect the short-run and long-run performance of private firm and privitized *** study compares the short-and long-run performance,and factors affecting these performances for both private IPOs and privatized IPOs in *** further investigates the relationship between capital structor and initial underpricing for both group of ***:Event study methodology is used to compares short-and long-run performance spanning from March 2000 to June 2015 of two categories of IPOs issued in the Karachi Stock Exchange(KSE).Multivariate regression analysis is applied to examine the factors that affect the short-run and long-run performance as well as for investigating the relationship betwen underpricing and ownership structure for both group of ***:We find that both categories outperform in IPOs at which they are offered to investors on first day of trading,although differences in mean are *** a five-year buy-and hold strategy,privatizing IPOs outperform and private IPOs underperform returns on the benchmark KSE 100 Stock *** results reveal that the size of the private firm or government entity,aftermarket risk of IPOs,and subscription ratio are significantly associated with the underpricing of IPO shares brought to ***-day returns,market volatility and retained ownership are associated with higher five-year *** find that the concentration of ownership is similar,for both categories of IPOs;and significantly positive related to *** size of the firm/entity,aftermarket risk,return on assets and subscription ratio also affect ownership ***:Same level of underpricing in both private

The aim of this work is to investigate anisotropic compact objects within the framework of f(G)modified theory of *** our present work,we utilize Krori-Barua metrics,i.e.,λ(r)=Xr^(2)+Y andβ(r)=Zr^(2).We use some matching conditions of spherically symmetric spacetime with Bardeen's model as an exterior ***,we establish some expressions of energy density and pressure components to analyze the stellar configuration of Bardeen compact stars by assuming viable f(G)*** examine the energy conditions for different stellar structures to verify the viability of our considered ***,we also investigate some other physical features,such as equilibrium condition,equation of state parameters,adiabatic index,stability analysis,mass function,surface redshift,and compactness factor,*** is worthwhile to mention here for the current study that our stellar structure in the background of Bardeen's model is more viable and stable.

The present work is focusing on the synthesization and physico-chemical properties of Jatropha curcas biodiesel with diesel and *** densities of binary diesel(2)+1-alkanols(C_(3) or C_(4))(3)and ternary Jatropha curcas biodiesel(1)+diesel(2)+1-alkanols(C_(3)or C_(4))(3)blends have been reported over full range of composition at temperatures within range 288.15 to 313.15 *** densities of Jatropha curcas biodiesel(1)+diesel or 1-alkanols(C_(3) or C_(4))(2)blends have been measured at 313.15 *** molar volumes,V^E,V^E_(123)of binary and ternary blends were calculated from the measured data and the derived properties were correlated to composition using Redlich-Kister equation.A reasonable agreement was found between the measured and estimated ***,densities and excess molar volumes data were reasoned to discuss molecular interactions taking into consideration effect of composition and temperature.
