Copper, in turn, is the most useful material in the field of electricity, especially in electrical contacts. Already, the zinc is the most useful metal in atmospheric exposure conditions which is used in sheet form as castings, but whose most important application is as a coating for corrosion protection of steel structures. salvador, it has disadvantages as an environment conducive to corrosion, by setting up a wet surface time t4, high corrosive environment （C4）. This work was proposed to study the performance of these metals compared to the effects of air pollution of an industrial site. For both atmospheric corrosion sites （ACs） were implanted natural weathering standard in order to assess the aggressiveness of atmospheric contaminants on the performance of metal specimens （galvanized steel and copper）. In determining their corrosion rates which were analyzed for sulfate and chloride ions, atmospheric, given the proximity of this ACs to the seafront, due to these propitiate the acceleration of corrosion. The results allowed observation that the average local concentration of the sulfate was higher than the chloride, because of the proximity of the pollutant source, and that the corrosion rate of galvanized steel was more significant than 61.5% of copper.

strong>Background:strong> IgG4-related disease is a rare autoimmune condition that presents with lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate and fibrosis in the organ affected. Isolated testicle involvement is uncommon and there are only a few cases reported in the literature. strong>Casestrong> strong>Presentation:strong> We report a case of isolated chronic orchitis due to IgG4 hypersecretion in a 61-year-old patient that evolved with asymptomatic tumor-like mass growth and was treated with left orchiectomy. Histopathological study revealed orchitis related to IgG4 hypersecretion disease. strong>Conclusion:strong> IgG4-related disease can be manifested as a multi or single-organ disorder. Most diagnoses are made after surgery with histopathological analysis. Most of the cases in literature stand out the difficulty in diagnosis and necessity of high suspicion due to this condition’s similarity with neoplasm presentation.

Hepatitis delta virus: A fascinating and neglected pathogen

Hepatitis delta virus(HDV) is the etiologic agent of the most severe form of virus hepatitis in humans. sharing some structural and functional properties with plant viroids, the HDV RNA contains a single open reading frame coding for the only virus protein, the Delta antigen. A number of unique features, including ribozyme activity, RNA editing, rolling-circle RNA replication, and redirection for a RNA template of host DNA-dependent RNA polymerase Ⅱ, make this small pathogen an excellent model to study virus-cell interactions and RNA biology. Treatment options for chronic hepatitis Delta are scarce and ineffective. The disease burden is perhaps largely underestimated making the search for new, specific drugs, targets, and treatment strategies an important public health challenge. In this review we address the main features of virus structure, replication, and interaction with the host. Virus pathogenicity and current treatment options are discussed in the light of recent developments.

Chagas disease cardiomyopathy(CCC), the main consequence of Trypanosoma cruzi(***) infection, is an inflammatory cardiomyopathy that develops in up to 30% of infected individuals. The heart inflammation in CCC patients is characterized by a Th1 T cell-rich myocarditis with increased production of interferon(IFN)-γ, produced by the CCC myocardial infiltrate and detected at high levels in the periphery. IFN-γ has a central role in the cardiomyocyte signaling during both acute and chronic phases of *** infection. In this review, we have chosen to focus in its pleiotropic mode of action during CCC, which may ultimately be the strongest driver towards pathological remodeling and heart failure. We describe here the antiparasitic protective and pathogenic dual role of IFN-γ in Chagas disease.

Background: The metabolic syndrome affects more and more global people. Although it shows increasing prevalence in general population, the syndrome affects more women than men, what makes its risk of being developed during pregnancy period. Also, possible perinatal adverse effects are always lurking. Objective: the objective was demonstrated what’s new in literature on metabolic syndrome and pregnancy. Methods: A literature review was performed to extract the articles published on metabolic syndrome and pregnancy, its prevalence, obstetrical complications and its perinatal adverse effects. This review was conducted by online researching in PubMed, Lilacs, Medline, Embase, scopus, Medscape, Libertas Academica and CINAHL database, science database and also by researches in books. 27 selected articles on metabolic syndrome after this research were all published between 1988 and 2015. Results: Among those 27 articles and two books studied, sM rate in obstetric population ranged from 3% to 42% depending on the previously manifested components of the syndrome, age and region. Women with previously manifested components showed more adverse perinatal effects. Conclusion: Women with pregestational DM or sM and sM develop more during pregnancy, obstetric complications and adverse perinatal outcomes.

Metabolic syndrome is an epidemic that affects more and more people, increasing the probability of suffering metabolic and cardiovascular diseases in the short, medium or long term depending on the severity. The purpose of this article is to review the metabolic syndrome, assessing consensus, controversy and prevalence. The methodology was the preparation of a literature review on various health care databases, which were from 43 articles published from 2010 to 2015, in the general population. sM rate ranges from 0% to 90% depending on genders, ages and regions. There is still lack of consensus on cutoffs of diagnostic criteria. Thus, it is concluded that the prevalence of metabolic syndrome is being increased, urging the need for early diagnosis and treatment to promote the health of the global population.

Comparisson of Recrystallization Kinetics and Grain Growth in Polycrystalline shape Memory Alloys

The non-ferrous sMAs(shape memory alloys)have,normally,two problems that hinder the use in industrial scale:the natural aging and grain *** first degrades the memory effect,while the second,observed during the alloy’s mechanical processing,modifies the phase transformation ***,the study of recrystallization kinetics is important for enabling the control of hardened state as a function of treatment time without allowing the exaggerated grain *** objective of this study is to determine the recrystallization kinetics in different sMAs(Cu-14Al-4Ni,Cu-12Al-0.5Be and Ni-42Ti),based on an empirical law of J-M-A(Johnson-Mehl-Avrami),as well as their activation energies for grain growth process according to the empirical Arrhenius *** evaluations of the grain growth kinetics over a wide range of indicated DsC(differential scanning calorimetry)temperatures have been *** results show that the alloy less susceptible to aging in temperatures below the recrystallization peak is the Ni-42Ti,because it presented the highest activation energy,followed by the *** equations that describe the recrystallization kinetics follow the empirical law of *** recrystallization kinetics accompanied by hardness variation was an important tool,working as an advisor for selection of treatment time as a function of temperature.
