A novel energy analyzer with a simple structured Bessel box has been successfully developed and incorporated into ionization gauges and quadrupole mass spectrometers (QMS) to improve their measurement of the total and partial pressures,*** found that the energy analyzer may not only effectively separate the gas phase ions and electron stimulated desorption (ESD) ions produced in the ionizer,but also screen the ion collector from irradiation of the soft X rays and VUVphotons generated in the *** screening effects considerably better the trace impurity detection limit of the QMS down to a few tens ppb in the pressure range of 10 -3 *** modified ionization gauge is capable of measuring pressure ranging from 10 -11 to 10 -6 Pa in the pulse counting mode and its upper limit may extends to 10 -3 Pa in DC ion current mode with typical sensitivities factor of(6.7±0.2)×10 -3 Pa -1 for N 2 and (2.3±0.2)×10 -3 Pa -1 for H 2,*** ESD ions was observed in the simple looking spectrum obtained with the modified *** also found that the energy spectra of fragment ions depend strongly on species of parent ions.

The genus Rhabdophis is a group of widely distributed snakes with more than 20 *** field surveys uncovered a species in southwestern China,which has long been considered as *** molecular and morphological analyses revealed it as a new species Rhabdophis chiwen *** on 12 specimens,this new species is distinguished by the following characters:1)dorsal body saddlebrown,dorsal scales typically with black margins forming spots and stripes,the margin of the outer row forming two faint dorsolateral black cross-bars alongside body;2)ventral scales 151–159,the outer margin of ventral scales and several lateral rows of dorsal scales forming ventrolateral longitudinal brownish-red coloration,with faint black spots in the middle of ventral scales;3)a black oblique stripe present below eyes,often with a black spot between the 2 nd and 3 rd supralabial and a black stripe on the 5 th supralabial;4)eyes dark khaki,pupils black;5)infralabials usually 7,the first four in contact with anterior chin-shields;6)temporal scales 1+1;7)dorsal scales in 15 rows,feebly keeled except the outer 1–2 rows;8)anal scale divided;subcaudals 45–59;9)preocular 1 and postoculars 3(occasionally 2);10)body medium-sized(snout-vent length:adult males 404–431 mm,adult females 409–476 mm);11)tail moderate(tail length/total length in adult males 0.205–0.238,in adult females0.172–0.193).With the discovery of this new species,the total number of species in genus Rhabdophis is 28 with 12 th species known to occur in China.

Laparoscopic gastrectomy is considered as an indispensable option between endoscopic resection and standard gastrectomy with open laparotomy for patients with early-stage gastric ***,the extent of gastrectomy and remnant gastric function may affect patients’quality of life(QOL)after ***,function-preserving gastrectomy in addition to laparoscopic surgery could be considered in patients with early-stage gastric cancer.A prospective multicenter trial and meta-analyses of sentinel node(SN)mapping and biopsy for early-stage gastric cancer have demonstrated favorable SN detection rates and accuracy of nodal metastatic *** a combination of radioactive colloids with blue dyes as tracers is currently considered as the promising procedure of SN mapping in early-stage gastric cancer,several new technologies,such as indocyanine green fluorescence imaging,may markedly improve its *** early-stage gastric cancer,the development of laparoscopic personalized minimized gastrectomy with SN mapping may help retain patents’QOL after surgery.A recently developed full-thickness partial gastrectomy with SN mapping and basin dissection would become a reliable minimally invasive gastrectomy for treating patients with cN0 early-stage gastric cancer.

This paper analyzes performance of optimal channel estimation and multiuser detection(MUD) in a block-fading code-division multiple-access (CDMA) channel on the assumptions of randomspreading and large-system limit,by using the replica method developed in statistical *** authors find that the asymptotic spectral efficiency of the linear minimum mean-squared error(LMMSE) MUD which was proposed and analyzed by Evans and Tse in 2000 is indistinguishable fromthat of the optimal MUD for small system *** results imply that performance of MUD scarcelyimproves even if one spends more computational cost than that of the LMMSE MUD,i.e.,at most thecube of the number of users,on the above-described conditions.

New simulation model for bone formation markers in osteoporosis patients treated with once-weekly teriparatide

Daily 20-mg and once-weekly 56.5-mg teriparatide（parathyroid hormone 1–34） treatment regimens increase bone mineral density（BMD） and prevent fractures, but changes in bone turnover markers differ between the two regimens. The aim of the present study was to explain changes in bone turnover markers using once-weekly teriparatide with a simulation model. Temporary increases in bone formation markers and subsequent decreases were observed during once-weekly teriparatide treatment for 72 weeks. These observations support the hypothesis that repeated weekly teriparatide administration stimulates bone remodeling, replacing old bone with new bone and leading to a reduction in the active remodeling surface. A simulation model was developed based on the iterative remodeling cycle that occurs on residual old bone. An increase in bone formation and a subsequent decrease were observed in the preliminary simulation. For each fitted time point, the predicted value was compared to the absolute values of the bone formation and resorption markers and lumbar BMD. The simulation model strongly matched actual changes in bone turnover markers and BMD. This simulation model indicates increased bone formation marker levels in the early stage and a subsequent decrease. It is therefore concluded that remodeling-based bone formation persisted during the entire treatment period with once-weekly teriparatide.

The purpose of this study was to design a submicron-sized liposomal non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug(NSAID)preparation that targets the retina via topical instillation of eye ***(BRF)-loaded liposomes were prepared using the calcium acetate gradient *** sizes and encapsulation efficiencies were optimized by screening several liposome formulations of lipid,drug concentration,and buffer *** entrapment efficiency was greater than 90%using this method,and was low using conventional hydration *** initial BRF loading using the pH gradient method caused aggregation of *** circumvent aggregation,the negatively charged lipid dicetylphosphate was incorporated into liposomes,which formed anion layer preventing *** of BRF from liposomes was sustained for several hours depending on lipid concentration,inner water phase,initial drug amounts,and surface *** modification with chitosan(CS),a mucoadhesive cationic polymer,was achieved using electrostatic interactions of negatively charged *** optimal concentration of CS for evasion of liposome aggregation was 0.15%.
