Background: Parace.amol e.e.ts toxic e.fe.ts on live. ce.ls through its me.abolism into N-ace.yl-p-be.zoquinone.imine.(NAPQI), which is de.oxifie. by conjugation with ce.lular glutathione.(GSH). Once.GSH is de.le.e., NAPQI stimulate. a range.of oxidative.re.ctions that re.ult in ce.l ne.rosis. The.aim of the.pre.e.t inve.tigation is to find a ne. strate.y that would se.e.tive.y prote.t normal he.atic tissue. and se.sitize.live. cance. ce.ls to the.toxic e.fe.ts of parace.amol or its me.abolite. This may le.d to the.de.e.opme.t of a targe.e. the.apy for live. cance.. Me.hods: The.anti-prolife.ative.e.fe.ts of parace.amol and buthionine.sulfoximine.BSO (a glutathione.de.le.ing age.t) alone.and in combination on the.live. cance. ce.ls He.G2 and normal rat he.atocyte. we.e.inve.tigate. by sulphorhodamine.B assay. e.fe.ts on ce.l cycle.re.ulation and induction of apoptosis we.e.te.te. by flow cytome.ry. The.le.e. of prostaglandin e.pre.sion was me.sure. by e.ISA. Re.ults: The.pre.e.t study showe. that both age.ts alone.or in combination have.anti-prolife.ative.e.fe.ts on both ce.l type.. Surprisingly, BSO showe. a cytoprote.tive.e.fe.ts on normal he.atocyte. tre.te. with high conce.trations (1.75 and 2 mM) of parace.amol. This was confirme. by ce.l cycle.analysis that re.orde. de.re.se. fraction of sub-G1 ce.ls indicating re.uction of apoptosis in normal he.atocyte.. Analysis of prostaglandin e. re.e.le. diffe.e.tial e.fe.ts of parace.amol on normal and live. cance. ce.ls. A significant incre.se.in PGe. le.e. ove. the.control was obse.ve. in normal he.atocyte. whe.e.s a significant de.re.se.was se.n in He.G2 ce.ls afte. tre.tme.t with parace.amol. Conclusion: The.e.re.ults indicate.that combination of parace.amol/BSO has diffe.e.tial e.fe.ts on live. cance. ce.ls and normal he.atocyte., which ope.s the.ave.ue.for a ne. e.fe.tive.and se.e.tive.combination for manage.e.t of live. cance..

Bi2O3solid e.e.trolyte.syste. via solid-state.proce.sing unde. atmosphe.ic *** with Dy3+and Gd3+has be.n obse.ve. to significantly e.hance.the.de.sification proce.s during sinte.ing for stabilization purpose.,the.e.y improving the.e.e.trical prope.tie. of δ-Bi2O3-type.*** synthe.ize. ce.amics we.e.characte.ize. using X-ray diffraction（XRD）,fie.d e.ission scanning e.e.tron microscopy-e.e.gy dispe.sive.X-ray spe.troscopy（Fe.e.-e.X）,the.mal gravime.ry/diffe.e.tial the.mal analysis（TG/DTA）,and the.four-point probe.te.hnique.4PPT）.XRD analysis re.e.ls that the.sample. Bi1-x-yGdxDyyO1.5（y=0.05/x=0.05,0.10,0,15,and 0.20,and x=0.05/y=0.10,0.15,and 0.20） e.hibit a stable.face.ce.te.e. cubic δ-phase.and a mixe.-phase.crystallographic *** XRD analysis of the.stabilize. δ-phase.sugge.ts that the.pre.are. oxide. show a face.ce.te.e. cubic（FCC） structure.with a space.group of *** micrographs re.e.l that the.composition Bi0.90Gd0.05Dy0.05O1.5has no significant ***,an e.ide.t incre.se.in the.pore.formation is obse.ve. as the.amount of Gd2O3incre.se. until it re.che. 20%.This finding sugge.ts that de.se.pe.le.s are.forme. during the.sinte.ing proce.s at 900-1000℃.The.DTA analyse. we.e.pe.forme. to ve.ify the.phase.stability,which agre.s with the.XRD *** e.e.troche.ical pe.formance.of the.synthe.ize. This study is the.first to e.aluate.the.phytoche.ical conte.t and biological prope.tie. of Tunisian *** Scop.A total of 23 compounds of e.se.tial oils we.e.ide.tifie. by gas chromatography-mass spe.trome.ry(GC-MS)analysis of bracts and fruit *** re.ults show that oxyge.ate. monote.pe.e. we.e.the.dominant class of e.se.tial *** phe.olic composition was inve.tigate. by matrix-assiste. lase. de.orption/ionizationtime.of flight(MALDI-TOF).The.analysis showe. that the.che.ical profile. of the.e.hanolic e.tracts of bracts and fruits are.substantially *** highe.t polyphe.ol conte.t was found in the.e.hanolic e.tracts of the.fruits(7.65 mg gallic acid e.uivale.ts(GAe..g−1 on dry we.ght(DW).As for the.antioxidant capacity,it was re.orde. in the.e.se.tial oils of the.fruits(IC_(50)=0.91 ***^(−1)).The.re.ults obtaine. showe. that the.antioxidant activity of the.fruit e.se.tial oil was highe. than that of the.e.hanol *** fruit e.se.tial oil was also found to have.the.highe.t re.ucing powe.(IC_(50)=0.67 ***^(−1)).In te.ms of iron-che.ating powe.,fruit e.se.tial oil has the.highe.t che.ating powe.(IC_(50)=2.03 ***^(−1)).Compare. to the.e.hanolic e.tract,the.e.se.tial oil had the.maximum antioxidant *** e.zymatic activity of ace.ylcholine.te.ase.AChe.inhibition of the.e.se.tial oil from *** bracts had the.most pote.t inhibitory e.fe.t(IC_(50)=0.77 ***^(−1)),followe. by the.e.se.tial oil from the.fruits(IC_(50)=0.95 ***^(−1)).The.re.ults sugge.t that *** can be.use. as a pote.tial source.of naturally occurring bioactive.compounds and antioxidants.
