Background: Due.to succe.sful tre.tme.t modalitie., the.majority of pe.iatric cance. patie.ts will survive. Incre.se. body mass inde. (BMI) is a complication among pe.iatric cance. survivors. Me.hods: This re.rospe.tive.single.ce.te. study e.amine. BMI change. among a cohort of pre.ominantly Hispanic patie.ts who we.e.tre.te. in South Los Ange.e.. Data we.e.colle.te. at diagnosis, 1, 2 and 3 ye.rs afte.. Analyse. include. z-score. de.ive. from calculate. BMIs compare. ove. 3 ye.rs pe. ge.de., diagnosis, and tre.tme.t modality. The.unhe.lthy BMI z-score.was de.ine. as >1.04. Re.ults: Thirty-four pe.ce.t of the.pre.ominantly Hispanic sample.had unhe.lthy BMI z-score. of >1.04 corre.ating to at or gre.te. than the.85th pe.ce.tile.for age.and ge.de.. The.study cohort’s BMI z-score. significantly incre.se. from 0.15 to 1.29 at ye.r 3 (P e.unhe.lthy cate.ory. Me.ian BMI z-score.significantly incre.se. to the.unhe.lthy cate.ory at 3 ye.rs. The.use.of allophane.as an additive.in concre.e.and mortar mixture. was imple.e.te. to improve.the.r stre.gth and wate.proofing, re.pe.tive.y, using compre.sion and wate. absorption te.ts according to the.r corre.ponding standards (ASTM C1231, ASTM D2938, and ASTM C1585). The.sample. we.e.e.aluate. at diffe.e.t conce.trations and curing age.. In addition, diffe.e.t sand/ce.e.t ratios we.e.conside.e. for the.mortar. The.re.ults re.e.le. that the.e.was a 9.4% incre.se.in compre.sive.stre.gth in concre.e.and a 23.7% re.uction in wate. absorption in mortar for the.5:1 ratio. The.e.change. would be.the.re.ult of the.inte.action of the.nanoporous additive.in the.atomic crystal structure.of the.mate.ial de.onstrating the.nanote.hnological nature.of allophane.
