Background Neurodevelopmental disorders are a heterogeneous group of conditions that manifest as delays or deviations in the acquisition of expected developmental milestones and behavioral *** spectrum disorder(ASD)is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by deficits in communication and social interaction and by repetitive and restricted patterns of behavior,interests and *** aim of this review is to discuss the clinical features of the differential diagnoses of ASD that are prevalent among preschoolers,focusing on their similarities and *** sources The international medical literature search was conducted using PubMed and was revised regarding the subject using single and/or combined keywords as follows:differential diagnosis,preschoolers,diagnostic challenge,attention deficit hyperactivity disorder,intellectual disability,high abilities/giftedness,childhood apraxia of speech,social communication disorder,Landau–Kleffner syndrome,stereotyped movement disorder and excessive screen *** We describe conditions commonly found in clinical practice,taking ASD as a *** addressed converging and divergent aspects of behavior,cognition,communication,language,speech,socialization,and stereotypes for the diagnosis of ASD and other disorders identified as potential differential or comorbid *** The ranking and characterization of symptoms appear to be essential for better understanding the underlying common ground between children with developmental disorders and children with ASD,thus properly diagnosing and directing social,professional,or medication *** detailed discussion adds to the literature since,although ASD differential diagnoses are frequently mentioned and discussed in textbooks and journal articles,they rarely occupy a prominent place as we aimed herein.

In Vitro and in Silico Insights on the Biological Activities, Phenolic Compounds Composition of Hypericum perforatum L. Hairy Root Cultures

Three Hypericum perforatum hairy root lines(HR B,HR F and HR H)along with non-transformed roots were analyzed for phenolic compounds composition and in vitro enzyme inhibitory *** silico molecular modeling was performed to predict the interactions of the most representative phenolic compounds in HR clones with enzymes related to depression,neurodegeneration and *** analyses revealed that HR clones represent an efficient source of quinic acid and hydroxybenzoic acids,epicatechin and procyanidin derivatives,quercetin and kaempferol glycosides,as well numerous *** vitro antidepressant activity of HR extracts through monoamine oxidase A(MAO-A)inhibition was attributed to the production of oxygenated and prenylated *** neuroprotective potential of HR extracts was related to the accumulation of quercetin 6-C-glucoside,epicatechin,procyanidins andγ-mangostin isomers as potential inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase(AChE)and butyrylcholinesterase(BChE).Vanillic acid and prenylated xanthones in HR clones as promising inhibitors of tyrosinase additionally contributed to the neuroprotective *** preeminent xanthones in HR(γ-mangostin,mangiferin,garcinone C,garcinone E and 1,3,7-trihydroxy-6-metoxy-8-prenyl xanthone)along with the flavonol quercetin 6-C-glucoside effectively inhibitedα-amylase andα-glucosidase indicating the antidiabetic properties of HR *** roots of *** can be exploited for the preparation of novel phytoproducts with multi-biological activities.

We applied a multi-taxa approach integrating the co-occurrence of plants,ground beetles,spiders and springtails with soil parameters(temperatures and chemical characteristics)in order to describe the primary succession along two glacier forelands in the Maritime Alps(Italy),a hotspot of Mediterranean *** compared these successions to those from Central Alps:Maritime glacier forelands markedly differ for their higher values of species richness and species *** to our expectation,Maritime glacier forelands follow a‘replacement change model’,like continental succession of Inner Alps and differently from other peripheral *** propose that the temperatures along these Mediterranean glacier forelands are warmer than those along other Alpine glacier forelands,which promote the faster species ***,we found that early and mid successional stages of the investigated glaciers are richer in cold-adapted and endemic species than the later ones:we confirmed that the‘replacement change’model disadvantages pioneer,cold-adapted *** the overall correspondence among coldadapted and endemic species,the most threatened in this climate phase,our results raise new concerns about the extinction risk of these *** also describe supraglacial habitat of Maritime glaciers demonstrating that supraglacial debris represents an environment decoupled from the regional climate and may have an important role as refugium for coldadapted and hygrophilous plant and animal species,whose survival can be threatened by climate change and by a rapid ecological succession in the adjacent forelands.

Overall results and prospects of the cancer risk assessment in the Urals population affected by chronic low dose-rate exposure

The paper presents the key milestones and outcomes of 65-year studies of the carcinogenic consequences of accidental radiation exposure of the population of the Ural *** radioactive contamination of the Techa River and the 1957 accident at the Mayak Production Association were the reasons of the long-term population exposure at a wide *** most important tasks of the study were the reconstruction of individual doses,follow-up of the solid cancer and leukemia incidence and mortality among cohort *** research results have shown that chronic human exposure,in comparison to acute exposure,does not reduce the risk of developing malignant tumors and *** value of the dose-rate factor does not exceed"one".Thus,according to our data,the Publication 103 of the International Commission on Radiological Protection seemed to underestimate the radiation risk of malignant tumors and leukemias in case of low dose-rate exposure of the population by a factor of *** for further radio-epidemiological studies in the Urals are associated with the analysis of the cohort of Southern Urals Populations Exposed to Radiation,which includes about 63 thousand exposed people and makes it possible to assess the radiation risk of solid cancers of certain localizations,certain types of leukemia,and non-cancer effects.

Background:Identification of relevant in vivo biomarkers for fertility remains a challenge for the livestock *** of the small peptide hormone oxytocin(OXT),involved in male reproductive function and present in the seminal plasma(SP)of several species could be a robust *** study characterized concentrations of SPOXT in ejaculates from boars used in artificial insemination(AI)programs aiming to evaluate its relationship with sperm quality variables and in vivo fertility of their liquid-stored *** OXT concentrations(ng/mL)were measured in 169 ejaculates from 61 boars of the Duroc,Pietrain,Landrace and Large White breeds using a direct competitive immunoassay test based on AlphaLISA®***(ejaculate volume,sperm concentration,total sperm count)and sperm parameters(motility,viability,intracellular generation of reactive oxygen species,plasma membrane fluidity)were assessed at 0 h and 72 h in AI-semen samples stored at 17℃.In vivo fertility included only 18 Large White and Landrace boars whose AI-semen was used to inseminated>100 sows and evaluated both farrowing rate and litter size of 3,167 ***:The results showed that SP-OXT differed between boars and between ejaculates within boar(P<0.05)but not between breeds(Duroc,Pietrain,Landrace and Large White).Ejaculates with higher SP-OXT concentration/mL(hierarchically grouped;P<0.001)had larger volume and came from younger boars(P<0.05).Ejaculates of boars showing positive farrowing rate deviation exhibited higher(P<0.05)SP-OXT concentration/mL than those with negative farrowing rate ***:The SP concentrations of OXT are boar,ejaculate and age dependent,and positively related with ejaculate volume and farrowing rates of liquid-stored semen AI-doses.

ChatGPT as an Educational Tool: Opportunities, Challenges, and Recommendations for Communication, Business Writing, and Composition Courses

This empirical study examines ChatGPT as an educational and learning *** investigates the opportunities and challenges that ChatGPT provides to the students and instructors of communication,business writing,and composition *** also strives to provide *** conducting 30 theory-based and application-based ChatGPT tests,it is found that ChatGPT has the potential of replacing search engines as it provides accurate and reliable input to *** opportunities,the study found that ChatGPT provides a platform for students to seek answers to theory-based questions and generate ideas for application-based *** also provides a platform for instructors to integrate technology in classrooms and conduct workshops to discuss and evaluate generated *** challenges,the study found that ChatGPT,if unethically used by students,may lead to human unintelligence and *** may also present a challenge to instructors as the use of ChatGPT negatively affects their ability to differentiate between meticulous and automation-dependent students,on the one hand,and measure the achievement of learning outcomes,on the other *** on the outcome of the analysis,this study recommends communication,business writing,and composition instructors to(1)refrain from making theory-based questions as take-home assessments,(2)provide communication and business writing students with detailed case-based and scenario-based assessment tasks that call for personalized answers utilizing critical,creative,and imaginative thinking incorporating lectures and textbook material,(3)enforce submitting all take-home assessments on plagiarism detection software,especially for composition courses,and(4)integrate ChatGPT generated responses in classes as examples to be discussed in ***,this study found that ChatGPT skillfully paraphrases regenerated responses in a way that is not detected by similarity detection *** maintain their effect

目的:本实验研究了以非致死剂量脂多糖(Lipopolysaccharide,LPS)攻击半乳糖葡胺(D-galactosamine,D-GalN)增敏小鼠的死亡是否伴有重要器官的凋亡特征。方法:实验组小鼠以LPS(0.05μg)与D-GalN(20mg)直接攻击,而对照组小鼠仅仅以LPS或D-GalN,在规定实验时间经乙醚麻醉后,取出脑、肾、心、脾、肺、肝,并立即匀浆和抽提DNA,对所抽提的各器官的DNA以常规琼脂糖凝胶电泳分析是否存在DNA梯度现象;并测定血浆中乳酸脱氢酶和谷氨酸草酰乙酸转移酶,同时将DNA片段化现象与小鼠致死作用的关联性在实验组和对照组间做比较。结果:LPS攻击B-GalN增敏的小鼠4h时,在所检测的器官中,仅仅肝脏可见到凋亡特征DNA片段化现象,至7h时小鼠死亡。而仅用LPS或D-GalN攻击的对照组小鼠,不仅全部存活而且肝脏DNA分子完整。结论:LPS攻击B-GalN增敏的小鼠,肝脏是唯一出现DNA片段化的靶器官,由细菌LPS引发小鼠的死亡,肝脏的损伤可能是关键的原因。

In this work we axe concerned with the universal associative envelope of a finite-dimensional simple symplectic anti-Jordan triple system （AJTS）. We prove that if T is a triple system as above, then there exists an associative algebra U（T） and an injective homomorphism ε ： T→ U（T）, where U（T） is an AJTS under the triple product defined by （a, b, c） = abc- cba. Moreover, U（T） is a universal object with respect to such homomorphisms. We explicitly determine the PBW-basis of U（T）, the center Z（U（T）） and the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension of U（T）.

Influence of soil and elevation on roadside cryptogam diversity in the tropical Andes

Background: The deforestation caused by road construction is one of the main drivers for both biodiversity and function loss in tropical ecosystems. Terricolous cryptogams are pioneers in colonizing roadside and they are limited by environmental and edaphic factors, thus, cryptogams may act as pioneers for ecosystem rehabilitation at ***: This research was aimed at determining the diversity and composition of terricolous cryptogams, as well as their relationship with elevation and soil properties among roadside of the tropical Andes of Ecuador, in order to establish indicator species of this anthropized ecosystems. Five elevations were selected and in each one 50grids of 20 cm×30 cm were sampled(250 in total along the road), where occurrence, cover and identification of every cryptogam species were recorded. To evaluate the effect of elevation and soil properties on cryptogam richness, a linear model was conducted. Species composition among elevations was compared by non-metric multidimensional scaling(NMDS), and their relationship with the environmental variables through a correlation with adjusted axes was performed. A total of 72 species were recorded, those being 44 bryophytes and 28lichens. Species richness and composition of terricolous cryptogams were influenced by elevation and soil properties, thus the richness is higher at elevations E1, E2 and E3(2600, 2200 and 1800 m a.s.l.), differing from low elevations E4 and E5(1400 and 1000 m a.s.l.). Higher elevations with specific soil conditions(e.g bulk density, nitrogen and silt) harbored different cryptogam communities than those in lower ***: A combination of both elevation and soil properties are shaping the colonization by terricolous cryptogams commnunities. As such, 18 species were identified as the best indicators for all sets of environmental conditions at the roadside, which can therefore be considered for monitoring ecological processes in tropical areas.
