The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace minerals(Zn,mn,and cu)from complexed amino acid minerals(ZmcAA)and bis-glycinate chelated minerals(ZmcGly)in laying hen diets on performance,internal and external egg quality,yolk mineral deposition,intestinal morphometry,and bone *** 78 to 98 weeks of age,400 White LsL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a randomized design with 4 treatments with 10 replicates per *** were distributed in a 2×2 factorial arrangement using either Zn,mn,and cu of ZmcAA or ZmcGly source at 2 levels:low(20,20,and 3.5 mg/kg of Zn,mn,and cu,respectively)or high(40,40,and 7 mg/kg of Zn,mn,and cu,respectively).The analysis of variance was performed,and in cases where differences were observed,the means were compared using Tukey?s test(Psource and level of trace mineral supplementation had a significant impact on the performance of laying *** fed ZmcAA had higher egg production(P=0.01),egg weight(P=0.02),egg mass(P=0.01),and lower feed conversion ratio(P=0.05)compared to those fed *** ZmcAA supplementation showed higher albumen height(P=0.01),albumen weight(P=0.01),and eggshell thickness(Psition of Zn(Pmn(Pcu(Ps greater for hens received *** weight(P=0.04)and bone densitometry(Pbia were higher with ZmcAA *** the small intestine,ZmcAA resulted in longer villi(P=0.02)and shorter crypt depth(P=0.01)in the *** and ileum measurements were influenced by the level and source of trace minerals(Ps fed ZmcAA exhibited superior performance,egg quality,deposition of trace minerals in the egg yolk,and bone density compared to hens fed *** this study,older laying hens supplemented with ZmcAA at lower levels demonstrated adequate levels of supplementation.

mango(mangifera indica)is a major tropical fruit species cultivated in *** objective of this study was to identify species of Lasiodiplodia associated with dieback and stem-end rot of mango in the semi-arid region of Northeastern brazil,and compare the species in relation to mycelial growth,pathogenicity and virulence.A total of 120 isolates of Lasiodiplodia were used and identifications were made using a combination of morphology and phylogenetic analysis based on partial translation elongation factor 1-αsequence(EF1-α)and internal transcribed spacers(ITs).The following species were identified:Lasiodiplodia crassispora,***,***,***,***,*** and Lasiodiplodia sp..Lasiodiplodia theobromae was the most frequently isolated species,which represented 41%of all the *** this species had been previously reported on mango in brazil,while the other species represent the first report associated with mango tree diseases in this *** crassispora is reported for the first time associated with mango diseases *** were significant differences in mycelial growth rates among the Lasiodiplodia species and also in the optimum temperature for *** species of Lasiodiplodia were pathogenic on mango *** were significant differences in virulence among the species,wherein *** and Lasiodiplodia *** the most virulent,while the least virulent were ***,***,*** and ***.

The volatile constituents of the essential oils from leaves from the weed plants Parthenium hysterophorus and Ambrosia polystachya were identified and quantified by GLc-ms and GLc. Allelopathic activities were determined by methods that evaluated the volatile effects and the direct application of these essential oils on the seed germination and seedling vigor of lettuce. We identified 27 compounds in the essential oil from P. hysterophorus, and the main constituents were germacrene-D (35.9%), trans-β-ocimene (8.5%) and β-myrcene (7.6%). In the essential oil from A. polystachya, 40 constituents were identified and the principal compounds were germacrene-D (29.3%), trans-β-ocimene (13.6%) and β-caryophyllene (9.8%). In both methods, the essential oil from A. polystachya presented a greater potential for reducing seed germination and seedling vigor in lettuce than the essential oil from P. hysterophorus, and this activity might be attributed to its higher content of monoterpenes.

Energization of a Half-Wavelength Transmission Line-Pre-Operational Transients studies

In the present paper the main results of the pre-operational studies related to the energization maneuver of a Half-Wavelength Transmission Line (Ac-Link), are presented. The simulations were performed in PscAD with actual brazilian system data. specifically the following studies were performed: electromagnetic transient studies of energization maneuver considering no fault and the occurrence of fault along the trunk;dynamic analysis of generator units that will energize the Ac-Link;TRV on the circuit-breaker that will energize the trunk. The main conclusion is that the Ac-Link energization experiment can be implemented without jeopardizing or causing time-life reduction of the equipment involved in the experiment, which comprises the generator unit that will energize the trunk, the step-up transformer, the arresters that will be kept during the experiments, as well as the circuit-breaker that will energize and then trip the Ac-Link.

moringa oleifera Lam(moringaceae) is a plant with high nutritional and medicinal value. Native to India, it is now widely distributed throughout tropical and subtropical regions of the world. Its different parts are sources of proteins, vitamins and minerals and present different pharmacological and biotechnological potential. moreover, m. oleifera seeds are widely used in water and effluent treatment, for their coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation properties, their ability of improving water quality, by reducing organic matter and microbial load, with special applicability in intensive animal production systems, such as aquaculture. In addition, due to its high nutritional value and several medicinal properties, this tree may act as a nutritional and medical alternative for socially neglected populations. In this context, this review gathers information on m. oleifera, emphasizing its chemical constituents, nutritional, pharmacological and antimicrobial properties, applications in the treatment of water effluents, and ecological and social aspects.

The aim of this study was to characterize tinctures and microcapsules loaded with an ethanol extract of red propolis through chemical, physicochemical and microbiological assays in order to establish quality control tools for nutraceutical preparations of red propolis. The markers(isoflavonoids, chalcones, pterocarpans,flavones, phenolic acids, terpenes and guttiferones) present in the tinctures A and b were identified and confirmed using Lc/EsI/FTms/Orbitrap. Four compositions(A, b, c and D) were prepared to contain b tincture of the red propolis with some pharmaceutical excipients and submitted to two drying processes, i. ***-drying and freeze-drying to obtain microcapsules loaded with the red propolis extract. The tinctures and microcapsules of the red propolis were submitted to the total flavonoid content and antioxidant activity *** antibacterial activity and minimum inhibitory concentration(mIc) were tested using staphylococcus aureus ATcc 25293 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATcc 27853 strains. The tinctures and microcapsules presented high flavonoid quantities from 20.50 to 40.79 mg/100 mg of the microcapsules. The antioxidant activity and Ic50 were determined for the tinctures A and b(Ic50: 6.95 μg/m L and 7.48 μg/m L), the spray-dried microcapsules(Ic50: 8.89–15.63 μg/m L) and the freeze-dried microcapsules(Ic50: 11.83–23.36 μg/m L). The tinctures and microcapsules were proved to be bioactive against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria with inhibition halos superior to 10 mm at concentration of 200 μg/m L and mIc values of 135.87–271.74 μg/m L using gram-positive strain and 271.74–543.48 μg/m L using gram-negative strain. The tinctures and microcapsules of the red propolis have a potential application for nutraceutical products.

The presence of metastases in the oral cavity is considered quietly rare in the literature. considering metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma, the occurrence occurs in approximately 1% of cases. The objective of this study was to report a case of metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma in gingiva, in a patient with a previous diagnosis of cancer presenting a poor prognosis. Furthermore, a review of reported cases has already been performed and found only 20 reports. This case report emphasizes the importance of including metastases in soft tissue of the mouth, in the differential diagnosis of lesions with benign aspect.

Objectives： burns are shown as a clinical problem for their severity and multiple complications due to the time required to heal. Therapies that improve their healing are of great importance, especially for being minimally invasive, of low cost and best performance, all related to the speed and quality of healing. This study investigated the effects of the magnetic electro stimulator Haihuá cD9 isolated or in association with Aloe vera in rats skin burns. methods： Experimental groups （n = 30/group） were：（c） carbopol gel; （F） A. vera/carbopol gel; （H） Haihuá＋carbopol gel; （H＋F） Haihuá＋A. vera/carbopol gel. samples were collected on the 7th, 14th, and 21st experimental days for structural and morphometric analysis, hydroxyproline and glycosaminoglycans quantification, zymography for mmP-2 and mmP-9 and Western blotting for TGF-β1, VEGF, collagen I and III. Key findings： The expression of TGF-β1 in H＋F was increased on the 7th day and of mmP-9 on the 7th and 14th days. The expression of VEGF increased in the first experimental periods and decreased in the last for the treated groups. There was an increase in the fibroblasts and birefringent collagen fibers in groups treated with Haihuá isolated or in association with A. vera in all periods. The quantification of collagen I increased, while collagen III decreased in H＋F. The higher amount of GAGs and mmP-2 active isoform was detected in H and H＋F during all periods. conclusions： considering the results of the present study, electromagnetic stimulation in association with the A. vera extract promoted an increase in the number of fibroblasts, GAGs content, mmP-2 activity, the deposition and organization of collagen fibers, favoring the repair of injuries to second degree burns, and may also present therapeutic potential in this injury type.
