During the earthquake in Emilia（Italy） of 2012,ca.30 permanent GPS stations were in operation within a radius of about 100 km from the epicenter,each equipped with an antenna rigidly fixed to the host building and sampling the GPS signal at a high rate（〉 1 Hz）.From the recording of the GPS measurements,the instantaneous displacements s（t） in the NorthSouth and East-West directions of the phase centers of the single GPS antennas at each permanent station during the most important seismic sequences were calculated in kinematic ***,for each of the two displacements considered as two distinct external forces,the elastic response spectra of the building were determined and from them the two periods of vibration T along two orthogonal directions coinciding with the walls of the building were *** experimentally obtained periods of vibration were compared with those inferable from the technical *** this way,a sufficiently large sample was obtained per building type,geometry（square,rectangular,regular or irregular planimetry）,height（from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 20 m） and materials（masonry,reinforced concrete,etc.）.From the computational point of view,the study confirmed that GPS is an emerging tool for monitoring dynamic displacements and the experimentally estimated value of T is always lower than the one estimated with the formulae reported in the *** limitations of the study lie in the impossibility to choose a priori the geometry and/or structural type of the building hosting the GPS station.

Reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS), one of the key enablers for the sixth-generation(6G)mobile communication networks, is considered by designers to smartly reconfigure the wireless propagation environment in a controllable and programmable manner. Specifically, an RIS consists of a large number of low-cost and passive reflective elements(REs) without radio frequency chains. The system gain of RIS wireless systems can be achieved by adjusting the phase shifts and amplitudes of the REs so that the desired signals can be added constructively at the receiver. However, an RIS typically has limited signal processing capability and cannot perform active transmitting/receiving in general, which leads to new challenges in the physical layer design of RIS wireless systems. In this paper, we provide an overview of the RIS-aided wireless systems, including the reflection principle, channel estimation, and system design. In particular,two types of emerging RIS systems are considered: RIS-aided wireless communications(RAWC) and RISbased information transmission(RBIT), where the RIS plays the role of the reflector and the transmitter,respectively. We also envision the potential applications of RIS in 6G networks.

俯冲带中的流体可能对俯冲过程产生重要影响.然而,关于大陆俯冲期间流体规模及其作用的地球物理约束仍然有限.西阿尔卑斯造山带是全球保存最完好的大陆俯冲带之一,为认识大陆俯冲过程中流体作用的影响提供了重要的参考.本文综合多种地球物理方法分析了西阿尔卑斯造山带地区的V_(P)/V_(S)比值,发现在俯冲区的上盘侧存在高V_(P)/V_(S)(>1.9)带,与部分蛇纹岩化的上覆地幔楔位置一致;而在下盘侧存在异常低的V_(P)/V_(S)(<1.7)带,异常深度浅于30km.本文认为,观测到的低V_(P)/V_(S)比值异常是由地壳内广泛分布的富硅岩脉导致,指示了在俯冲时期大陆俯冲界面之上可能存在的富硅流体流动.本文的结果暗示俯冲时期的流体流动可能降低了俯冲界面的有效应力,从而促进了大陆俯冲.

Purpose:Dental and orofacial trauma among the adult population constitutes a major public health *** impact is not just physical but also *** analyse the impacts of dental and orofacial trauma on oral health-related quality of life(OHRQoL)in adults and determine whether the 2 variables are closely ***:This is a systematic *** terms“dental trauma”,“orofacial trauma”,“oral health”,“oral health related impact life”,“OHRQoL”,“positive and negative affect scale”,“quality of life”,“facial injuries”,“adults”,and“young adults”were researched in the databases of PubMed,Sciencedirect,Scopus and Google Scholar for associated studies up to December 30,2022.A comprehensive search was designed and the articles were independently screened for eligibility by 2 *** included studies’author,year of publication,the country where the study was conducted,population demographics(number and age),an instrument used for assessing OHRQoL and the relevant result were recorded and *** quality of the evidence was assessed using Joanna Briggs Institute checklist for observational ***:Out of 482 unique records,3 articles were included for data *** studies were *** studies did not mention confounding *** scales were used for dental and orofacial trauma and *** has a directly proportional relationship with orofacial *** with orofacial trauma have a significant impact on this value with a prevalence of 88.4%.Conclusion:The highest impact on OHRQoL was seen immediately after the diagnosis of an orofacial *** impact increases with the severity of the ***,to promote overall dental and general health,health education initiatives should include information on the causes,prevention,and requirement for prompt responses by the populace in seeking dental intervention.

Background: Neuroendocrine neoplasms are those that develop from a neuroendocrine cell. They most commonly affect the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, and pancreas, being rare conditions in the female genital tract. When present, these neoplasms often manifest with nonspecific signs and symptoms such as pain, itching, swelling, single-focus lesions, bleeding, and enlargement of inguinal lymph nodes, in addition to the presence of progressively enlarging vulvar nodules. Consequently, the diagnostic investigation involves histopathological examination and confirmation through immunohistochemistry. Objective: To present a comprehensive understanding of this rarely studied pathology. The primary objective is to provide valuable insights that could aid in the future development of universally applicable treatment guidelines. Case Presentation: A 57-year-old female, with no prior comorbidities, menopause at 36, who presented with a left vulvar nodule accompanied by intense pain and swelling, later diagnosed with small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma in the vulva. Conclusion: This case report highlights the importance of enhancing our knowledge regarding small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma in the vulva, given its scarcity in medical literature. The information presented here underscores the need for standardized diagnostic and treatment approaches, paving the way for future consensus on managing this uncommon but challenging neoplasm.
