This study evaluated the corrosion b.havior of steel hooks emb.dded in GFRC,which were protected b. a zinc-rich(96%Zn)galvanizing *** coating provided the hooks with active cathodic protection and a passive physical *** corrosion may form when the anode is smaller than the total steel ***,the steel hooks at the emb.dment juncture were additionally sealed against water ingress and air exchange using a construction *** study was conducted in three phases in a salt-spray ***,the electrogalvanized steel hooks emb.dded in GFRC were allowed to freely corrode for 7 *** the second phase,the electrogalvanized steel hooks were painted with the zinc-rich coating and ob.erved over 7 *** the third phase,the steel hooks were protected b. the zinc-rich coating together with a primer and construction sealant,and ob.erved over 7 *** evaluate the electrogalvanized hooks and the corrosion products formed,the thickness of the material was *** on the metal surface was inferred b. studying the surface morphology of the hooks at various points of contact and after different periods of time.

We considerer parab.lic partial differential equations under the conditions on a region . We will see that we can write the equation in partial derivatives as an Fredholm integral equation of first kind and will solve this latter with the techniques of inverse moments prob.em. We will find an approximated solution and b.unds for the error of the estimated solution using the techniques on moments prob.em. Also we consider the one- dimensional one-phase inverse Stefan prob.em.

It will b. shown that finding solutions from the Poisson and Klein-Gordon equations under Neumann conditions are equivalent to solving an integral equation, which can b. treated as a generalized two-dimensional moment prob.em over a domain that is considered rectangular. The method consists to solve the integral equation numerically using the two-dimensional inverse moments prob.em techniques. We illustrate the different cases with examples.

The prob.em is to considerer a parab.lic equation depending on a coefficient a (t), and find the solution of the equation and the coefficient. The ob.ective is to solve the prob.em as an application of the inverse moment prob.em. An approximate solution and limits will b. found for the error of the estimated solution using the techniques of inverse prob.em moments. In addition, the method is illustrated with several examples.

In this paper we will see that, under certain conditions, the techniques of generalized moment prob.em will apply to numerically solve an Volterra integral equation of first kind or second kind. Volterra integral equation is transformed into a one-dimensional generalized moment prob.em, and shall apply the moment prob.em techniques to find a numerical approximation of the solution. Specifically you will see that solving the Volterra integral equation of first kind f（t） = {a^t K（t, s）x（s）ds a ≤ t ≤ b.or solve the Volterra integral equation of the second kind x（t） =f（t）＋{a^t K（t,s）x（s）ds a ≤ t ≤ b.is equivalent to solving a generalized moment prob.em of the form un = {a^b.gn（s）x（s）ds n = 0,1,2… This shall apply for to find the solution of an integrodifferential equation of the form x＇（t） = f（t）＋ {a^t K（t,s）x（s）ds for a ≤ t ≤ b.and x（a） = a0 Also considering the nonlinear integral equation： f（x）= {fa^x y（x-t）y（t）dt This integral equation is transformed a two-dimensional generalized moment prob.em. In all cases, we will find an approximated solution and b.unds for the error of the estimated solution using the techniques ofgeneralized moment prob.em.

We considerer partial differential equations of second order, for example the Klein-Gordon equation, the Poisson equation, on a region E = （a1, b. ） × （a2, b. ） x （a3, b. ）. We will see that with a common procedure in all cases, we can write the equation in partial derivatives as an Fredholm integral equation of first kind and will solve this latter with the techniques of inverse prob.em moments. We will find an approximated solution and b.unds for the error of the estimated solution using the techniques on prob.em of moments.

Neurotropic herpesviruses have b.en associated with the onset and progression of Alzheimer’s disease,a common form of dementia that afflicts a large percentage of elderly ***,among the neurotropic herpesviruses,herpes simplex virus-1,human herpesvirus-6A,and human herpesvirus-6b.have b.en reported to infect several cell types present in the central nervous system and to dysregulate autophagy,a process required for homeostasis of cells,especially *** autophagosome accumulation,indicating an unb.lance b.tween autophagosome formation and autophagosome degradation,has b.en ob.erved in neurons of Alzheimer’s disease patients and may play a role in the intracellular and extracellular accumulation of amyloidβand in the altered protein tau ***,herpesvirus infection of central nervous system cells such as glia and microglia can increase the production of oxidant species through the alteration of mitochondrial dynamics and promote inflammation,another hallmark of Alzheimer’s *** evidence suggests that it is worth further investigating the role of neurotropic herpesviruses,particularly human herpesvirus-6A/b.in the etiopathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease.

Pomacea canaliculata is a successful invader and also a competitor and predator of other snails and may play a key role in structuring freshwater snail communities b.th in its native and invaded range. In the present study we evaluated the contact and distant effects of P. canaliculata in its native range on exotic (Melanoides tub.rculata and Physa acuta) and native snails (Heleob.a parchappii, b.omphalaria peregrina, and Chilina parchappii). Hab.tat use was affected in P. acuta, H. parchappii, and b. peregrina b. contact effects of P. canaliculata, whereas survival was only affected in P. acuta through comb.ned con tact and dista nt effects. Fee undity was reduced in P. acuta and b. peregrina b. comb.ned con tact and distant effects;evidence of egg mass predation was also ob.erved in b.th species. Melanoides tub.rculata was not affected at all b. P. canaliculata. The snail species with higher withdrawal resp on ses to con tacts with P. canaliculata were those that suffered less mortality b. corporal contact, whereas snails with high crawling away responses suffered from higher mortality. The effects of P. canaliculata seem to b. highly negative to small non operculate sn ails that lay gelati nous egg masses, whereas large operculate ovoviviparous snails are not affected in their survival and reproducti on. This apple snail may exert b.otic resista nee agai nst P. acuta b.t could favor the estab.ishme nt of M. tub.rculata and other function ally similar species in new hab.tats in South America.

AIM:To provide a comprehensive and more representative national data on the disease,especially on treatment options and outcomes,and to determine access of retinob.astoma patients from Luzon,Visayas and Mindanao to eye care,and determine if access is associated with delay in consultation,staging and ***:Cohort study of retinob.astoma patients seen in eleven institutions located in the three major areas of the Philippines namely Luzon,Vizayas and Mindanao from ***:Totally 636 patients,involving 821 eyes,were ***(57%)were from Luzon and were seen in institutions in Luzon(72%).Annually,58±10 new cases were seen with 71%having unilateral *** delay of consultation remained long at 9(3,17)mo,longest in patients with unilateral disease(Pb.sed on the International Retinob.astoma Staging System,only 35%of patients had Stage 1 while 47%already had extraocular *** was the most common treatment received b. 484 patients while intravenous chemotherapy was received b. *** were 250(39%)patients alive,195(31%)dead,85(13%)ab.ndoned,17(3%)refused and 89(14%)with no ***:This study presents the largest cohort of retinob.astoma patients in the Philippines in terms of patients’and participating institutions’numb.r and geographical location and type of institution(private and pub.ic).It also presents more comprehensive data on the treatments used and outcomes(survival,glob. salvage,and vision retention rates).Delay in consultation was still long among patients leading to advanced disease stage and lower survival *** increasing capacity to diagnose and manage retinob.astoma in the country,the delay of consultation remains long primarily due to accessib.lity issues to eye care institutions especially in the Visayas and financial *** delay was still significant that overall survival rate remain low.
