A new series of N-arylquinoline derivatives 5a-x bearing 2-morpholinoquinoline moiety has been synthesized by one pot base catalyzed cyclocondensation reaction of 2-morpholinoquinoline-3-carbaldehydes 2a-c,malononitrile 3 andβ-enaminones 4a-h. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their in vitro antimicrobial activity against six bacterial pathogens,namely Streptococcus pneumoniae,Clostridium tetani,Bacillus subtilis,Salmonella typhi,Vibrio cholerae,Escherichia coli and against two fungal pathogens,Aspergillus fumigatus and Candida albicans using broth microdilution MIC *** the compounds studied,majority of the compounds were found to active against ***,*** and *** as compared to first-line standard drugs.

The present studies highlight the effective removal of As（V） and Cd（II） from aqueous solutions by superabsorbent poly （NIPAAm/AA/N-allylisatin） nanohydrogel. Batch removal studies were performed as a function of treatment time, initial metal ion concentration, pH, and adsorbent dose. TEM micrographs confirm the particle size distribution in the range between 5 nm and 10 rim. The simple and metal ions adsorbed nanohydrogels were characterized by FF-IR, TGA, and EDX analysis. Finally, the equilibrium removal efficiency of the nanohydrogel was analyzed according to the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models which showed the removal of As（V） and Cd（II） metal ions fitted to Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms, respectively. Removal efficiency order of the metal ions is As（V）〉 Cd（II）.

A new series of 2-thiophenoxyquinolines based trifluoromethyl substituted N-aryl quinolone derivatives 8a-f and 9a-f have been synthesized via a one-pot multicomponent reaction. In vitro antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compounds was investigated against a representative panel of pathogenic strains. Compounds 8c, 9c and 9e exhibited comparable antimicrobial activity to first line drugs.

The goal of the present research is to remove high percentage of cationic and anionic dyes such as,Neutral Red, Safranin O and Indigo Carmine from aqueous solutions by poly（NIPAAm/N,Ndiallylpyrrolidinium bromide/AA） superabsorbent amphoteric nanohydrogels synthesized using the inverse microemulsion polymerization method. Effect of various parameters such as, treatment time,initial dye concentration, p H and adsorbent dose were investigated. Furthermore, kinetics and isotherms adsorption models were applied to determine the maximum adsorption and mechanism for adsorption,which shows that adsorption obeyed the pseudo-second order kinetics. From the results, removal of dyes within the nanohydrogel was found to be in the order： AB-74 〈 BR-2≤ BR-5.

A new series of pyrano[4,3-b]pyrane 4a-l bearing 1H-pyrazole has been synthesized by one pot base catalyzed cyclocondensation reaction of 1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde la-1,malononitrile 2 and 4-hydroxy-6-methylpyrone *** the synthesized compounds were screened against six bacterial pathogens,namely ***,***,***,***,***, *** and antifungal activity against,two fungal pathogens,*** and *** using broth microdilution MIC method. Some of the compounds are found to be equipotent or more potent than that of commercial drugs,against most of employed strains.
