The effect of laser, as a heat source, on a one-dimensional finite living tissue was stud- ied in this paper. The dual phase lagging （DPL） non-Fourier heat conduction model was used for thermal analysis. The thermal conductivity was assumed temperature- dependent, resulting in a nonlinear equation. The obtained equations were solved using the approximate-analytical Adomian decomposition method （ADM）. It was concluded that the nonlinear analysis was important in nomFourier heat conduction problems. Moreover, a good agreement between the present nonlinear model and experimental result was obtained.

Based on global statistics, floods rank the first among natural disasters that severely disrupt human life, property, and the environment. Iran, as one of the flood-prone countries, is located in southwestern Asia. The geographical elevation, maritime influences, seasonal winds, and proximity to mountain ranges or deserts play a significant role in its daily and seasonal temperature fluctuations, as well as its precipitation patterns and types. According to official statistics in Iran,among climate-related hazards, some 70% of the annual funds of the Plan for Reducing the Effects of Natural Disasters have been spent on compensation for damages from floods. Yet, what augments the importance of floods and their damages is the fact that human and urban centers have been located in flood-prone areas. Therefore, considering the dense populations and financial capitals in such areas, it is necessary to assess the vulnerability of urban floods, especially in big cities like Ahvaz. This metropolis, as the capital of Khuzestan province, is located in the marshy plains with a population of over one million people. It is traversed by the country’s most water-rich river, the Karun. The aim of this study is to assess the vulnerability of Ahvaz from flood as a natural hazard and its coping capacity. The methodology of the study is descriptiveanalytical and is based on its practical purpose. Fuzzy Hierarchy Model(Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process) has been used for the spatial analysis of vulnerability and the capacity to deal with floods. In summary, the findings are as follows:(a) Considering the floods that have occurred in the past six decades and comparing the affected areas with the results of this research in terms of highly vulnerable areas in the central part of the city, the model used has shown high efficiency in determining the vulnerability caused by urban flooding.(b) As far as vulnerability is concerned,location and physical–environmental conditions stimulate and rei

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of onion (Allium cepa L.) as an antibiotic growth promoter substitute on growth performance, immune responses and serum biochemistry in broilers. A total of 192 one-d-old as hatched broiler chicks (Ross 308) were weighed and randomly allocated to four treatment groups, each with 4 replicate pens of 12 chicks. The dietary treatments consisted of the basal diet (control), antibiotic (15 mg Virginiamycin/kg), and control +10 or 30 g fresh onion bulb/kg diet. Body weights of broilers were determined at d 1, 21 and 42, feed intake was determined at the same periods, and feed conversion ratio was calculated accordingly. At 14th and 21st days blood samples were taken for measuring antibody titers against NDV and at 42nd day for biochemical analysis. At d 42, two birds per replicate were slaughtered for determination of lymphoid organ weights. Dietary supplementation of30 g/kg onion increased final body weight of broilers at 42nd d of age compared to the other treatments (P < 0.05). Birds fed30 gonion/kg in the diet had the highest feed intake than other treatments at different growth periods (P < 0.05). Dietary treatments failed to induce any significant effect on antibody titers against NDV, although the weight of lymphoid organs was significantly (P Broilers receiving30 g/kg onion had a significantly higher HDL and lower triglyceride concentrations compared to control groups (P . Feeding30 g/kg onion resulted in a marked reduction in the concentration of the glucose compared to control groups (P . The results suggested that dietary inclusion of30 g/kg onion can be applied as alternatives to in-feed antibiotics for broiler diets.

Today environmental assessment is considered and used as the basis and foundation of any kind of human activity. This is the science which gives human the consciousness about abilities and disabilities of his surroundings. This study tried to assess and provide the potential survey of lands in Khuzestan province for agricultural activities by taking into account the climatic elements and displaying different elements in different seasons. To achieve this goal, first produced data were analyzed in GIS software and then the data was tested by professors and experts of department of soil science and was weighted using the Buckley geometric mean model. Finally, the obtained weights were applied in the software and the obtained results are as follow: except some east parts of Khuzestan province which have proper climate for agricultural activities, other regions are not in good conditions and it is necessary to use cultivation with low water requirements and high resistance to heat and sunlight in these areas.

Hybrid Physics and Data-driven Contingency Filtering for Security Operation of Micro Energy-water Nexus

This A study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of clinoptilolite （most abundant natural zeolite） to reduce the effect of aflatoxin in diets of broiler chicks. In this study 900 one day-old male chicks were used in experimental as factorial （completely randomized design） with three levels of clinoptilolite （0, 3 and 5%） and three levels of aflatoxin （0,1 and 2ppm） from 1 day to 7 weeks of age . The result showed that the live weight , carcass weight and weekly weight gain were the highest （2215,1583,and53.8 respectively） for broilers fed ration 7（ contain 5 percent clinoptilolite and 0 ppm aflatoxin） and were the lowest for ration 3 contain 0% clinoptilolite and 2 ppm aflatoxin （1571, 1043 and 37.25 respectively）.The liver weight , feed conversion ratio and the percentage of mortality were markedly higher for ration 3 （45.8gr, 2.23 and 15.9% respectively） and were lower for ration 7 （40.08gr, 1.78 and 6.98% respectively） than the other ration . The highest feed intake was related to diet 4 containing three percent clinoptilolite and 0 ppm aflatoxin （4060gr） and the lowest feed intake was related to diet 3 （3633gr）. In general the results showed that aflatoxin in level of more than 1ppm resulted in reducing of broiler performance and increasing feed conversion ratio. The usage of clinoptilolite in diet can reduce the effects of aflatoxin and in conditions of this experiment the level of 5% clinoptilolite was better.

The influence of nitrogen content on the precipitation of secondary phases and the tensile strength of Alloy 718 during gas tungstenarc welding was investigated. Various types of precipitates were characterized using scanning electron microscopy and transmission electronmicroscopy. The results showed that in the fusion zone, the volume fraction of Nb-rich phases such as Laves, (Nb,Ti)C, and δ phases, as wellas Ti-rich phases such as (Ti,Nb)CN and (Ti,Nb)N, increased with increase in the nitrogen content due to the microsegregation of Nb and Tiwithin interdendritic areas. Nitrogen was also found to decrease the size of γ′′ particles within γ dendrites. For precipitates in the partiallymelted zone, constitutional liquation was observed for both (Nb,Ti)C and (Ti,Nb)N particles. Based on the results of tensile tests, the weld containing0.015wt% nitrogen exhibited the highest ultimate tensile strength (UTS), whereas more addition of nitrogen led to a decrease in both theUTS and yield strength due to the increased content of brittle Laves phases and decreased size of γ′′.
