Organogels, hydrogels and bigels as transdermal delivery systems for diltiazem hydrochloride

In the present study,gel formulations of organogels,hydrogels,and oleo-hydrogel(bigels)were evaluated as transdermal drug delivery systems for diltiazem HCL(DH).Organogels were prepared using soya-bean oil(SO)as a solvent and span 60(Sp 60),cetyl alcohol(CA)or lecithinpluronic(PLO)as organogelators without and with different surfactants(2%w/w)namely span 80(Sp80),tween 20(T20)and tween 80(T80).On the other hand,hydrogels were formulated using Hydroxypropyl-methylcellulose(HPmC)polymer and bigels were prepared by mixing organogels with HPmC *** prepared gels were analyzed microscopically,thermally by DTA and for pH,and *** effect of gelator used,surfactant types and pH of the sink on DH release from cellophane membrane was *** addition,the DH permeability across the rabbit skin was ***,the in vivo performance of various gel formulationswas assessed based on the hypotensive effects of the drug using hypertensive albino male rat *** microscopical analysis indicated that the solid fibers formed by gelator particles form the backbone of the organogels while bigels appeared as emulsion *** addition of surfactants showed an increase in organogel *** thermal analysis of organogels indicated that the drug present in amorphous not in crystalline *** release studies indicated that DH release from organogels,hydrogels and bigels could be *** included surfactants decreased the DH release and permeation from organogels compared to those without surfactants using either Sp60 or *** hydrogel and Bigels showed higher DH release and permeation rates when compared to *** percent DH released in different pH values was in the following descending order:pH5.5>pH1.2>pH6.8>*** in vivo antihypertensive activity of DH using different transdermal gels is arranged as following:hydrogels>PLO organogel>bigel>Sp 60 organogel.

Origin and Petrogenetic Implications of Spessartine Garnet in Highly-Fractionated Granite from the Central Eastern Desert of Egypt

A highly-fractionated garnet-bearing muscovite granite represents the marginal granitic facies of the Abu-Diab multiphase pluton in the Central Eastern Desert of Egypt. New electron microprobe analyses(EmPA) and laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-mS) data from garnets are reported, in order to constrain their origin and genesis. Garnet in the Abu-Diab host granite is euhedral to subhedral, generally homogeneous and, in rare cases, it shows weak zonation. The garnet contains appreciable amounts of mnO and FeO, with lesser amounts of mgO and CaO, yielding an end-member formula of Sps61–72Alm25–35Prp1–4Adr0–1. moreover, it is depleted in large ion lithophile elements(LILE) with lower values of Ba, Nb and Sr relative to the primitive mantle. Additionally, it contains high concentrations of HREE and Y and their REE pattern shows strong negative Eu anomalies. The garnet was crystallized under relatively low temperature(646°C–591°C) and pressure(mical features indicate that the garnet is magmatic in origin and is chemically similar to that from highly-fractionated A-type granite. It was probably formed at the expense of biotite in a highly-evolved mnO-rich magma and/or by hydroxyl complexing of mn during the ascending fluid phases.

Soil Properties and Wheat Growth and Nutrients as Affected by Compost Amendment Under Saline Water Irrigation

A greenhouse experiment was conducted to test and compare the suitability of saline compost and saline irrigation water for nutrient status amendment of a slightly productive sandy clay loam soil, to study the macronutrient utilization and dry matter production of wheat （Triticum aestivum c.v. Gemmiza 7） grown in a modified soil environment and to determine the effects of compost and saline irrigation water on soil productivity. The sandy clay loam soil was treated with compost of five rates （0, 24, 36, 48, and 60 m3 ha-1, equivalent to 0, 3, 4.5, and 6 g kg-1 soil, respectively） and irrigation water of four salinity levels （0.50 （tap water）, 4.9, 6.3, and 8.7 dS m-l）. The results indicated that at harvest, the electrical conductivity （EC） of the soil was significantly （P 〈 0.05） changed by the compost application as compared to the control. In general, the soil salinity significantly increased with increasing application rates of compost. Soluble salts, K, C1, HCO3, Na, Ca, and mg, were significantly increased by the compost treatment. Soil sodium adsorption ratio （SAR） was significantly affected by the salinity levels of the irrigation water, and showed a slight response to the compost application. The soil organic carbon content was also significantly （P 〈 0.05） affected by application of compost, with a maximum value of 31.03 g kg-1 recorded at the compost rate of 60 m3 ha-1 and the irrigation water salinity level of 8.7 dS m-1 and a minimum value of 12.05 g kg-1 observed in the control. The compost application produced remarkable increases in wheat shoot dry matter production. The maximum dry matter production （75.11 g pot-1） occurred with 60 ma ha-1 compost and normal irrigation water, with a minimum of 19.83 g pot-1 with no addition of compost and irrigation water at a salinity level of 8.70 dS m-1. On chip chiral and plasmonic hybrid dimer or tetramer:Generic way to reverse longitudinal and lateral optical binding forces

For both the longitudinal binding force and the lateral binding force,a generic way of controlling the mutual attraction and repulsion(usually referred to as reversal of optical binding force)between chiral and plasmonic hybrid dimers or tetramers has not been reported so *** this paper,by using a simple plane wave and an onchip configuration,we propose a possible generic way to control the binding force for such hybrid objects in both the near-field region and the far-field *** also investigate different inter-particle distances while varying the wavelengths of light for each inter-particle distance throughout the *** of all,for the case of longitudinal binding force,we find that chiral-plasmonic hybrid dimer pairs do not exhibit any reversal of optical binding force in the near-field region nor in the far-field region when the wavelength of light is varied in an air ***,when the same hybrid system of nanoparticles is placed over a plasmonic substrate,a possible chip,it is possible to achieve a reversal of the longitudinal optical binding ***,for the case of lateral optical binding force,we investigate a setup where we place the chiral and plasmonic tetramers on a plasmonic substrate by using two chiral nanoparticles and two plasmonic nanoparticles,with the setup illuminated by a circularly polarized plane *** applying the left-handed and the right-handed circular polarization state of light,we also observe the near-field and the far-field reversal of lateral optical binding force for both *** far as we know,so far,no work has been reported in the literature on the generic way of reversing the longitudinal optical binding force and the lateral optical binding force of such hybrid *** a generic way of controlling optical binding forces can have important applications in different fields of science and technology in the near future.

In this paper,we study the approximate solutions for some of nonlinear Biomathematics models via the e-epidemic SI1I2R model characterizing the spread of viruses in a computer network and SIR childhood disease *** reduced differential transforms method(RDTm)is one of the interesting methods for finding the approximate solutions for nonlinear *** apply the RDTm to discuss the analytic approximate solutions to the SI1I2R model for the spread of virus HCV-subtype and SIR childhood disease *** discuss the numerical results at some special values of parameters in the approximate *** use the computer software package such as mathematical to find more iteration when calculating the approximate *** results and discussed quantitatively are presented to illustrate behavior of the obtained approximate solutions.

The development of mathematical modeling of infectious diseases is a key research area in various elds including ecology and *** aim of these models is to understand the dynamics of behavior in infectious *** the new strain of coronavirus(COVID-19),there is no vaccine to protect people and to prevent its spread so ***,control strategies associated with health care,such as social distancing,quarantine,travel restrictions,can be adopted to control the pandemic of *** article sheds light on the dynamical behaviors of nonlinear COVID-19 models based on two methods:the homotopy perturbation method(HPm)and the modied reduced differential transform method(mRDTm).We invoke a novel signal ow graph that is used to describe the COVID-19 *** our mathematical studies,it is revealed that social distancing between potentially infected individuals who are carrying the virus and healthy individuals can decrease or interrupt the spread of the *** numerical simulation results are in reasonable agreement with the study *** free equilibrium and stability point for the COVID-19 model are ***,the existence of a uniformly stable solution is proved.
