This paper aims to examine the influence of gravity on a thermoelastic microelongated layer when a piezoelectric layer is above it,utilizing the theory of Lord–Shulman(L–S)and also the model of dual‐phase‐lag(DPL).A partial differential equation was transformed into an ordinary differential equation using the normal mode *** epoxy numerical computations are carried out,and the results are presented in graphical *** L–S theory and the model of DPL are compared in the presence and absence of gravity and it is found that gravity has quite a massive influence on all the physical quantities.

The capability of piles to withstand horizontal loads is a major design *** current research work aims to investigate numerically the responses of laterally loaded piles at working load employing the concept of a beam-on-Winkler-foundation *** governing differential equation for a laterally loaded pile on elastic subgrade is *** on LegendreGalerkin method and Runge-Kutta formulas of order four and five,the flexural equation of long piles embedded in homogeneous sandy soils with modulus of subgrade reaction linearly variable with depth is solved for both free-and fixed-headed ***,as one of the world’s leading computational software,was employed for the implementation of *** proposed numerical techniques provide the responses for the entire pile length under the applied lateral *** utilized numerical approaches are validated against experimental and analytical results of previously published works showing a more accurate estimation of the response of laterally loaded ***,the proposed approaches can maintain both mathematical simplicity and comparable accuracy with the experimental results.

This paper introduces the mathematical model of ammonia and urea reactors and suggested three methods for designing a special purpose controller. The first proposed method is Adaptive model predictive controller, the second is Adaptive Neural Network model Predictive Control, and the third is Adaptive neuro-fuzzy sliding mode controller. These methods are applied to a multivariable nonlinear system as an ammonia–urea reactor system. The main target of these controllers is to achieve stabilization of the outlet concentration of ammonia and urea, a stable reaction rate, an increase in the conversion of carbon monoxide(CO) into carbon dioxide(CO_2) to reduce the pollution effect, and an increase in the ammonia and urea productions, keeping the NH_3/CO_2 ratio equal to 3 to reduce the unreacted CO_2 and NH_3, and the two reactors' temperature in the suitable operating ranges due to the change in reactor parameters or external disturbance. Simulation results of the three controllers are compared. Comparative analysis proves the effectiveness of the suggested Adaptive neurofuzzy sliding mode controller than the two other controllers according to external disturbance and the change of parameters. moreover, the suggested methods when compared with other controllers in the literature show great success in overcoming the external disturbance and the change of parameters.

Parkinson’s disease(PD),one of whose symptoms is dysphonia,is a prevalent neurodegenerative *** use of outdated diagnosis techniques,which yield inaccurate and unreliable results,continues to represent an obstacle in early-stage detection and diagnosis for clinical professionals in the medical *** solve this issue,the study proposes using machine learning and deep learning models to analyze processed speech signals of patients’voice *** of these processed speech signals were obtained and experimented on by random forest and logistic regression *** were highly successful,with 90%accuracy produced by the random forest classifier and 81.5%by the logistic regression ***,a deep neural network was implemented to investigate if such variation in method could add to the *** proved to be effective,as the neural network yielded an accuracy of nearly 92%.Such results suggest that it is possible to accurately diagnose early-stage PD through merely testing patients’*** research calls for a revolutionary diagnostic approach in decision support systems,and is the first step in a market-wide implementation of healthcare software dedicated to the aid of clinicians in early diagnosis of PD.

Currently,in the conventional aeroponic system the collection of data for crop performance is quite slow,whereas such data are typically collected ***,the root zone temperature is one of the most important factors affecting plant growth in aeroponics *** study aimed to obtain temperature and relative humidity data inside an aeroponic system based on the Internet of things(IoT)and automatically cool the root zone using a novel low-cost effective technique for cooling via a cooling fan connected to the Arduino *** results revealed that the newly designed system could monitor and record the data in real-time on an internet server per ***,the temperature and humidity data can be displayed on the smartphone application,and be sent to the personal email weekly as an excel *** system was able to maintain the temperatures inside the roots chamber between 28.7℃-29.2℃ while the maximum external temperature was 38.1℃,and the average temperature in the traditional aeroponics system was fluctuating between 29.5℃-31.5℃.The newly automated cooling system root zone system of this study showed an optimization of lettuce growth *** significantly increased the lettuce absorbance of inorganic nutrients such as N,P,and K by 45.5%,66.6%,and 45.0%,respectively,also revealed an increment of fresh weight,total chlorophyll,ascorbic acid,total carbohydrate,and total amino acids by 131.0%,26.2%,41.9%,30.7%,6.2%,respectively in comparison with the conventional aeroponic ***,this study may play a significant role in the aeroponic monitoring and control,for providing more suitable growth parameters and achieving the least human interaction.

Associated Factors to Poor Blood Pressure Control in Hypertensives Followed Up at the Campus University Hospital of Lome (Togo)

Introduction: Hypertension is a real public health issue and its control is very difficult. We aim to determine the frequency of uncontrolled hypertension in hypertensive patients followed up as an outpatient at the campus university hospital of Lome (Togo) and to search for the associated factors. methodology: The study was cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical, carried out from February (2022) to August 2022 in 260 hypertensive patients aged 22 years old, followed up (on an) as an outpatient for at least 3 months at the Lome University Hospital campus. A univariate then multivariate analysis were conducted in order to highlight the most common factors significantly linked to uncontrolled. Results: The mean age of hypertensives was 56.4 ± 12.7 years, the sex ratio (m/F) was 0.59. Prevalence of uncontrolled blood pressure was 42%. Associated Factors to poor blood pressure control in our study were age > 60 years (OR = 1.6 CI [1.17 - 2.50]), low socio-economic level (OR = 2.2 CI [1.96 - 4.33]), high cardiovascular risk level (OR = 3.1 CI [2.18 - 4.52]), non-adherence to regular blood pressure monitoring (OR = 3.3 CI [2.21 - 5.55]), low compliance to treatment (OR = 4.1 CI [2.33 - 6.76]) and a chronic renal failure (OR = 2.1 CI [1.21 - 3.10]). Conclusion: Nearly half of the hypertensives in our study had poorly controlled blood pressure by antihypertensive treatment medication. The factors of this poor control were age > 60 years, low socio-economic level, high or very high level of cardiovascular risk, low compliance to treatment, and renal failure.

Introduction: High-riding nipple following reduction mammoplasty is a challenging problem for the plastic surgeons. To avoid such problem, many methods have been described for marking the correct nipple position but still controversial. We aimed in this study to present our experience in preventing excessive nipple elevation after reduction mammoplasty by using the upper footprint to set the new nipple position. material and methods: From march 2019 to march 2022, 25 female patients at a mean age of 38.3 years were included in this prospective study. They underwent reduction mammoplasty with inverted T scar and a combination of inferior pedicle and Würinger’s septum techniques. Resection weights, pre- and postoperative anthropometric measures were recorded. All patients were photographed at the follow-up visits and evaluated for complications if any, the nipple-areola complex (NAC) sensation, and subjective patient satisfaction using “The Breast Evaluation Questionnaire”. Results: The mean preoperative midclavicular point to nipple distance was 37.40 and 37.18 cm for the right and left breasts, respectively. The mean resection weight was 1270 and 1242 g from the right and left sides, respectively. None of our patients experienced NAC necrosis, while 2 breasts had minor wound dehiscence treated conservatively. After a mean follow-up period of 12 months, the NAC descended by an average of 1.40 cm, the distance from the ImF to nipple had an average increase of 2.24 cm, and all of patients were satisfied with the esthetic outcomes and convinced with their breast shape. Conclusion: The upper footprint dependent nipple position seems to have a real role in preventing high-riding nipple after breast reduction in hypertrophic and gigantomastic breasts. moreover, it can be applied easily and allow for more satisfying outcomes than other methods for setting the new nipple position.

High penetration of renewable sources into conventional power systems results in reduction of system inertia and noticeable low-frequency oscillations (LFOs) in the rotor speed of synchronous generators. In this paper, we propose effective damping of LFOs by incorporating a supplementary damping controller with a photovoltaic (PV) generating station, where the parameters of this controller are coordinated optimally with those of a power system stabilizer (PSS). The proposed method is applied to damp local electromechanical modes by studying a system comprising a synchronous generator and a PV station connected to an infinite bus. The PV station is modeled following the instructions of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council. The problem is modeled as an optimization problem, where the damping ratio of the electromechanical modes is designed as the objective function. Constraints including upper and lower limits of decision parameters and damping ratio of other modes are considered by imposing penalties on the objective function. Different optimization algorithms are used to pursue the optimal design, such as political, improved gray wolves and equilibrium optimizers. The results validate the effectiveness of the proposed controller with PSS in damping local modes of oscillations.
