Background: Although non-specific, transabdominal bowel ultrasonography, in real time or in color Doppler;has been beneficial in evaluating the location, extent and activity of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Aim: To assess the potential role of bowel transabdominal bowel ultrasonography in the diagnosis and follow-up of IBD. Patients and Methods: A cohort of 30 adults histologically-proven active IBD patients;ulcerative colitis (UC) (n = 20), Crohn’s disease (CD) (n = 10) were prospectively assessed in addition to 20 non-IBD participants representing the control group. All participants underwent the full colonoscopy in addition to real time and color Doppler ultrasonography. Bowel wall thickness, peri-enteric changes, and hemodynamic changes in the portal vein and mesenteric arteries were recorded at initial enrollment and after complete remission in 10 IBD patients. The in-situ measurements of the ionospheric plasma that we use come from two instruments of the scientific payload of the satellite DEMETER; the plasma analyser IAP （Instrument d＇analyse du plasma） and the Langmuir probe ISL （Instrument Sonde de Langmuir）. DEMETER is a micro-satellite realized by the CNES（Centre National d＇Etudes Spatiales, France） with a principal objective to seek a possible influence of the seismic activity on the electromagnetic waves in the ionosphere and on the ionospheric plasma. The satellite was placed on June 29, 2004, in a circular and quasi helio-synchronous orbit at -710 km altitude. The experiments function primarily at mid-latitudes （from ＋60° to -60°）. The IAP data were analysed to deduce the ion population （densities of the dominant ions, i.e. generally O^＋, H^＋ and He^＋） therefore the total ion density. The use of data IAP thus requires some precaution to make sure that the electric equilibrium conditions of the satellite, such as the satellite potential （Фsat）, are obtained during the treatment of routine, does not induce an error of measurement. When this potential is negative, the minority light ions H^＋ and He^＋ can be measured in a reliable way when their proportion is above 3% to 5% of that of O^＋. The critical limitation is： under certain conditions, the satellite potential becomes positive and reach a value about -0.5 V so that it becomes impossible to measure H^＋ ions. This is likely to involve a significant error on the composition and the density of the plasma. Therefore we carried out a calibration to estimate the missing density. The ISL experiment （Langmuir probe） provided the collected current/polarized tension characteristics of a cylindrical probe from which both electron density Ne and temperature Te were obtained. Tablets are one of the most comm only used solid dosage forms taken by *** preparati on of high-quality tablets requires an understanding of the preparation process and elucidation of how the physical and mechanical properties change as a function of the preparation *** work aims to investigate the impact of microwave irradiation drying and conventional drying methods(including freeze,convective and vacuum drying)on the hardness,tensile strength and friability of tablets made from a multi-component formulation containing naproxen sodium,microcrystalline cellulose,and *** results show that tablets subjected to microwave drying had the secondhighest tensile strength and hardness of 1.296 MPa and 67 N,*** tablets subjected to vacuum drying had the lowest tensile strength and hardness of 1.21 MPa and 64 N,*** friability index values for the tablets derived from the microwave and freeze-drying methods werel%.Microwave drying was observed to be an efficient method to produce naproxen sodium-containing tablets with satisfactory mechanical *** findings confirm that the drying method plays an essential role in the improvement or degradation of the mechanical properties of tablets.

Crack potential and hydration processes of the cement pastes were monitored using an upto-date eccentric steel cracking frame(ESCF), associated with the non-contact electrical resistivity apparatus, independently. The objective of employing the ESCF is to give a new method determining cracks of concrete at early age. The findings indicate that the lowest water-cement ratio paste reveals highest resistivity values, compasses an earlier inflection point and obtained higher stress. The eccentric restrained cracking test exhibited that lower water-cement ratio paste cracked at the earliest time, accordingly confirms cracking tendency is the highest. Tensile strength test and stresses utilizing ABAQUS simulation was performed. The crack initiation ages obtained are consistent with the experimental program results, which indicates that ABAQUS numerical analysis can well be utilized to predict the crack tendency of cement.

Named Entity Recognition(NER)is one of the fundamental tasks in Natural Language Processing(NLP),which aims to locate,extract,and classify named entities into a predefined category such as person,organization and *** of the earlier research for identifying named entities relied on using handcrafted features and very large knowledge resources,which is time consuming and not adequate for resource-scarce languages such as ***,deep learning achieved state-of-the-art performance on many NLP tasks including NER without requiring hand-crafted *** addition,transfer learning has also proven its efficiency in several NLP tasks by exploiting pretrained language models that are used to transfer knowledge learned from large-scale datasets to domain-specific *** Encoder Representation from Transformer(BERT)is a contextual language model that generates the semantic vectors dynamically according to the context of the *** architecture relay on multi-head attention that allows it to capture global dependencies between *** this paper,we propose a deep learning-based model by fine-tuning BERT model to recognize and classify Arabic named *** pre-trained BERT context embeddings were used as input features to a Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit(BGRU)and were fine-tuned using two annotated Arabic Named Entity Recognition(ANER)*** results demonstrate that the proposed model outperformed state-of-the-art ANER models achieving 92.28%and 90.68%F-measure values on the ANERCorp dataset and the merged ANERCorp and AQMAR dataset,respectively.

The properties of oral tablets are normally related to the properties of the powders they *** of oral tablets is important for the development of tablets with rapid and safe release of the active *** this study,a new formulation of naproxen sodium was prepared and dried using microwave drying (MWD) and the following conventional drying techniques:freeze-drying (FD),vacuum drying (VD),and convective drying (CD).The reference drug powder (RDP) and dry granules MWG,CDG,VDG,and FDG,which were dried using MWD,CD,VD,and FD,respectively were compressed to form tablets labeled RF-TAB,MW-TAB,CD-TAB,VD-TAB,and FD-TAB,*** dry granules and prepared tablets were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectrometry,scanning electron microscopy,and X-ray *** study aimed to explore the correlation between the textural characteristics of the tablets and their respective powders for different drying *** the morphologies of the dry particles were irregular,the prepared tablets were smooth and flat with few *** increased the amorphous nature of the granules but decreased their *** crystallinities of all tablets,except those prepared by VD,decreased after *** summary,the characteristics of the prepared tablets were acquired from their respective powders.

Text visualization is concerned with the representation of text in a graphicalform to facilitate comprehension of large textual data. Its aim is to improve the ability tounderstand and utilize the wealth of text-based information available. An essential task inany scientific research is the study and review of previous works in the specified domain,a process that is referred to as the literature survey process. This process involves theidentification of prior work and evaluating its relevance to the research question. With theenormous number of published studies available online in digital form, this becomes acumbersome task for the researcher. This paper presents the design and implementationof a tool that aims to facilitate this process by identifying relevant work and suggestingclusters of articles by conceptual modeling, thus providing different options that enablethe researcher to visualize a large number of articles in a graphical easy-to-analyze *** tool helps the researcher in analyzing and synthesizing the literature and building aconceptual understanding of the designated research area. The evaluation of the toolshows that researchers have found it useful and that it supported the process of relevantwork analysis given a specific research question, and 70% of the evaluators of the toolfound it very useful.

Angiographic characteristics of central serous chorioretinopathy in an Egyptian population

· AIM: To describe and analyze the demographic characteristics and to determine the angiographic features of acute central serous chorioretinopathy(CSCR) in an Egyptian population. ·METHODS: A series of consecutive patients presenting with acute idiopathic CSCR to Mansoura Ophthalmology Center Mansoura University who underwent fluorescein angiography (FA) within a 3 -year -period (between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009) was retrospectively studied. Patient demographics and angiographic features were studied. Results were compared to those of other Western and Asian populations. ·RESULTS: Fluorescein angiograms of 86 patients were analyzed. 91% were males. The age range of patients was 24 -49 years, with a mean age of (38±6) years. The right eye was the presenting eye in 47% of patients. Eighty seven percent of eyes showed delayed choroidal filling. Thirty -five percent of patients had more than one point of leakage. The macula was the most common site of fluorescein leakage seen in 79% of patients. Peripheral leakage was seen in 14% of patients while peripapillary leakage was seen in 12% of patients. The inkblot leakage pattern was found in 53% of patients. The presenting eye had RPE atrophic changes in 84% of cases. The other eye was assessed in 44 patients (51%). Fifty-five percent of them had signs of RPE atrophic changes. ·CONCLUSION: In the Egyptian population, CSCR is seen at younger age with higher male -to -female ratio and more frequent smokestack leaks than other populations. Despite younger age group, this series of patient showed higher frequency of bilateral and multifocal disease compared to other studies. Roles of psychological stress and choroidal ischemia in pathogenesis of CSCR need further evaluation. ·

Securing digital data from unauthorized access throughout its entire lifecycle has been always a critical concern.A robust data security system should protect the information assets of any organization against cybercriminal *** Twofish algorithm is one of the well-known symmetric key block cipher cryptographic algorithms and has been known for its rapid *** when it comes to security,it is not the preferred cryptographic algorithm to use compared to other algorithms that have shown better *** applications and social platforms have adopted other symmetric key block cipher cryptographic algorithms such as the Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)algorithm to construct their main security *** this paper,a new modification for the original Twofish algorithm is proposed to strengthen its security and to take advantage of its fast *** new algorithm has been named Split-n-Swap(SnS).Performance analysis of the new modification algorithm has been performed using different measurement *** experimental results show that the complexity of the SnS algorithm exceeds that of the original Twofish algorithm while maintaining reasonable values for encryption and decryption times as well as memory utilization.A detailed analysis is given with the strength and limitation aspects of the proposed algorithm.
