Background:Nasal packs are central to nasal ***,these packs function by controlling bleeding,modulating pain and reducing adhesions ***,the major setback of the currently used conventional nasal packs is the unbearable pain the patient undergoes upon removal of these *** overcome this shortcoming a variety of biodegradable packs have *** study was aimed at evaluating the safety,efficacy and tolerability of VELNEZ nasal ***,a patented Datt Mediproducts *** pack,is one of its kind biodegradable composite that fragments within a few days of ***:Eighty patients were included in an open label,interventional,single arm clinical study using clinical endpoints to investigate the safety and efficacy of nasal pack *** patients were questioned using a visual analog scale from discharge day to 28th postoperative day(9 follow-up visits)at regular *** standardized questionnaires for hemorrhage control,relief from postoperative pain,moderate obstruction,and pain were ***:A total of 76 patients were enrolled in the study and 74 patients completed the *** nasal pack played a significant role in controlling hemorrhage and reducing postoperative *** average hemorrhage control time was 7.49±3.90 min with only 34.24%of population complaining of pain on the sixth day of surgery(follow-up 4).Forteen days postsurgery only 10.95%of subject population complained of postoperative *** biodegradable composite has an average fragmentation time of 4.7 days in the nasal *** addition,this study did not observe any postoperative adverse events or serious adverse ***:VELNEZ,a fragmentable nasal pack,is comfortable,safe,and effective against postsurgery bleeding and pain.

In recent years, metabolic syndrome has been a growing health concern across the world. The role of nutraceuticals and functional foods in this area has a significant place due to the adverse effects of contemporary modes of treatment. CurCousin® is a nutritional ingredient containing bioactive Calebin A, (analog of Curcumin) with self-affirmed GRAS status. CurCousin® has been a clinically studied dietary supplement ingredient with a positive impact on body weight, lipid levels and metabolic health. Bioenhancers play an important role in increasing the bioavailability of the active in turn enhancing efficacy as well as reducing the dosage required to achieve the therapeutic effect. This study investigated the possible pharmacokinetic interaction between CurCousin® at two different doses (2.25 and 4.5 mg/kg) in the presence and absence of BioPerine® (0.27 mg/kg), a natural bioenhancer in Sprague-Dawley rats. The results revealed that the addition of BioPerine® into CurCousin® (2.25 mg/kg) half the dose when administered enhances the bioavailability and was equipotent to CurCousin® (4.5 mg/kg) double the dose without BioPerine®. Thus, leading to future clinical studies to evaluate its improved pharmacological efficacy as well as reduced therapeutic dosage.

Neurological and psychiatric complications continue to be a public health concern in long coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).This varies from olfactory dysfunctions such as parosmia to cognitive and emotional ***,the surge of neurological disorders followed the viral pandemics,for example,the emergence of Encephalitis Lethargica after the outbreak of Spanish *** and after COVID-19 infection,the problems associated with the sense of smell and the reports of affected olfactory and limbic brain areas are leading to a growing concern about the similarity with the symptoms and the pattern of degeneration observed at the onset of Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's *** reports reveal the essentiality of long-term studies of olfactory and cognitive functions in the post-COVID era and the experiments using animal models to dissect the neural basis of these *** this manuscript,we summarize the research reporting the potential correlation between neurological disorders and viral pandemic outbreaks with a historical ***,we discuss the studies providing evidence of neurodegeneration due to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection by focusing on viral Parkinsonism.

Background:Murraya koenigii(L.)Spreng.(Rutaceae)is an evergreen shrub distributed over the sub-tropical to lower temperate climatic zone of Nepal which has been used as spice in culinary practice and traditionally being used to treat bites of poisonous animals,dysentery,skin diseases,vomiting,diarrhea,and ***:The main objective of this study is to study the enzyme inhibition potential of different extracts of *** leaves collected from western ***:Total flavonoid content,total phenolic content,in vitro antioxidant,𝛼α-amylase,lipase,elastase,tyrosinase,and cholinesterase inhibition activities analysis of *** in ethyl acetate,methanol,and water extract were *** addition,high-resolution mass spectrometry-based profiling of flavonoid molecules and their docking analysis were ***:Results revealed the noteworthy radical scavenging activity of ethyl acetate extract against ABTS and *** the analyzed enzymes,*** extracts revealed the highest inhibitory potential towards acetylcholinesterase(AChE)and butyrylcholinesterase(BChE)and only water extract showed the inhibition of *** HPLC-ESI-QTOF-MS analysis revealed the presence of Rutin,Quercetin,Ferulic acid,Hyperoside,Kaempferol-7-O-glucoside,and Morin in ***,in silico docking analysis revealed the significant binding energy of these flavonoid molecules;especially Rutin with ***:The ethyl acetate and methanolic extracts of *** showed paramount flavonoid and phenolic content along with noteworthy potential towardsthe inhibition of neuro-degradative enzymes such as BChE which can be characterized further for pharmacological *** study on the isolation of metabolites and their pharmacological properties from *** is recommended.

Contactins are a group of cell adhesion molecules that are mainly expressed in the brain and play pivotal roles in the organization of axonal domains, axonal guidance, neuritogenesis, neuronal development, synapse formation and plasticity, axo-glia interactions and neural regeneration. Contactins comprise a family of six members. Their absence leads to malformed axons and impaired nerve conduction. Contactin mediated protein complex formation is critical for the organization of the axon in early central nervous system development. Mutations and differential expression of contactins have been identified in neuro-developmental or neurological disorders. Taken together, contactins are extensively studied in the context of nervous system development. This review summarizes the physiological roles of all six members of the Contactin family in neurodevelopment as well as their involvement in neurological/neurodevelopmental disorders.

Acicular goethite（a-Fe OOH） and worm-like maghamite（γ-Fe2O3） nanostructures have been prepared adopting a novel route, using Na2[Fe（HL）2（H2O）2] chelate complex in alkaline medium. It is found that concentration of hydrated Fe（III） ions increased with increasing temperature, which later play a key role in generation of different phases of iron oxide. Phase and morphology of the products are investigated using XRD, FTIR, SEM, and TEM analysis. Using UV–Vis spectra, various electronic transitions of goethite and maghamite particles are examined. Maghamite nanostructures exhibit superparamagnetic property at room temperature. On the basis of experimental observations and analytical data, growth mechanism of the nanostructures is discussed.
