Oncofertility is an extremely signiﬁcant topic that is increasingly being discussed owing to increased evidence indicating that fertility preservation does not affect the treatment outcomes of patients with cancer but signiﬁcantly contributes to preserving life *** effect of chemotherapy can range from minimal effects to complete ovarian *** data are available on the effects of monoclonal antibodies and targeted therapies on the ovaries and *** ovarian suppression by administering a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(GnRHa)during chemotherapy decreases the gonadotoxic effect of chemotherapy,thereby diminishing the chance of developing premature ovarian insufﬁciency(POI).At present,the concomitant administration of GnRH analogs during chemotherapy is the only accepted pharmacological method for preserving ovarian ***,most randomized studies on the effectiveness of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists during chemotherapy in preventing POI have been conducted in women with breast cancer,with a considerably small number of studies on patients with hematological ***,most randomized controlled trials on breast cancer have revealed a decrease in treatment-induced POI risk,regardless of the hormone receptor *** addition,studies on hematological malignancies have yielded negative results;nevertheless,theﬁndings must be interpreted with caution owing to numerous *** guidelines from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines recommend sperm,oocyte,and embryo cryopreservation as a standard practice and only offering GnRHa to patients when proven fertility preservation methods are not *** this manuscript,we present a comprehensive literature overview on the application of ovarian suppression with GnRHa during chemotherapy in patients with cancer by addressing preclinical and clinical data,as well as future perspectives in thisﬁeld

Design and Optimization of a GaN GIT Based PFC Boost Converter

The advent of GaN power devices brings the possibility of pushing up frequencies of power electronics system beyond the capacity of conventional Si *** harvest the high frequency operation benefits of GaN technology,not only GaN devices should be used optimally by providing proper switching and conduction conditions to best accommodate parasitic elements inherent with the devices,other components should also be capable of facilitating high frequency *** this paper,PFC boost converter is used as a platform to harvest the benefits of GaN technology and,at the same time,to uncover the limitations in pushing power electronics systems up.A 600W PFC boost converter with a maximum switching frequency of 3MHz is designed and implemented,which reached an average efficiency of 98.5%.The results indicate that,when properly used,a GaN PFC boost converter could operate at a frequency that is beyond the reach of conventional Si *** well,with availability of GaN devices,high frequency operation of power electronics systems is no longer limited by the lack of switching devices but by practical issues *** frequency magnetic materials,high frequency controllers,etc.

Dielectric and infrared properties of SrTiO_3 single crystal doped by 3d (V,Mn,Fe,Ni) and 4f (Nd,Sm,Er) ions

In this study, the effects of doping by 3d （V, Mn, Fe, Ni） and 4f （Nd, Sm, Er） ions on dielectric and infrared properties of SrTiO3 （STO） single crystals are investigated. It is well known that doping of the SrTiO3 can change the dielectric properties of the STO from an insulator to an n-type semiconductor, and even to a metallic conductor. Dielectric and infrared （IR） properties of the undoped STO and doped STO single crystals are analyzed using dielectric spectroscopy （80 kHz-5 MHz）, transmission （200 cm^-1-4000 cm^-1）, and reflection spectroscopy （50 cm^-1-2000 cm^-1）. It is found that doping by the 3d ions reduces the value of dielectric permittivity, but the trend of temperature dependence of the dielectric permittivity remains almost unchanged. On the other hand, dielectric spectroscopy measurements for samples doped by 4f ions show the anomalous behaviors of the dielectric permittivity at temperatures around the temperature of the structural phase transition. There are two fractures of temperature dependences of inverse dielectric permittivity εr^-1 （T）. Transmittance spectroscopy measurements show that there are differences in the shape of the spectrum in the mid-IR region between the undoped STO and the one doped by 4f ions. The differences in the reflectance spectrum between the STO：Nd and STO are analyzed in detail.

Response of Growth Dynamics of Two Spring Geophytes to Light Regime in a Lime-Beech Forest

Blomaee accumulation, leaf longevity and growth rate of two spring forest geophytes, Scllla blfolla L. and Arum maculatum L. were estimated separately for three size groups within each population of these species. Despite the differences in leaf longevity, both species showed a similar pattern of blomass accumulation In relation to their phenologles and reproductive demands. Eco-physlological acclimation to changing light environment was assumed through photosynthetic parameters and dynamics of leaf area Index In the predominant size group of each species. A light response curve was measured under natural light for each species through the continuum of Its phenology to quantify the photosynthetic photon flux density at light saturation, light-saturated photosynthetic rate, light compensation point, and dark respiration. Light-saturated assimilation per leaf area basis, dark respiration rate and light compensation points were significantly higher in S. blfolla relative to A. maculatum. However, the acclimation of photosynthesis that would respond to light changes in environment was not found in S. bifolla. In contrast, In A. maculatum a marked shift In the light dependence of photosynthesis through the season was noticed, which resulted In a strong photosynthetic acclimation to the low-light conditions. Accompanied by significant leaf area Index, this efficient low-light photosynthesis enabled greater leaf longevity, and consequently longer accumulative period to A. maculatum. From the different parameters that we determined （both photosynthetic acclimation and growth strategy） it would appear that these species belong to two distinct subgroups： S. blfolla to the early and A. maculatum to the late vernals.

TG-interacting Factor(TGIF) Downregulates SOX3 Gene Expression in the NT2/D1 Cell Line

SOX3 is a member of the Sox gene family implicated in brain formation and cognitive function. It is considered to be one of the earliest neural markers in vertebrates, playing a role in specifying neuronal fate. Recently, we have established the first link between TALE （three- amino-acid loop extension） proteins, PBX1 （pre-B-cell leukemia homeobox 1） and MEIS1 （myeloid ecotropic viral integration site 1 homologue）, and the expression of the human SOX3 gene. Here we present the evidence that TGIF （TG-interacting factor） is an additional TALE superfamily member involved in the regulation of human SOX3 gene expression in NT2/D1 cells by direct interaction with the consensus binding site that is conserved in primate orthologue promoters. Functional analysis demonstrated that mutation of the TGIF binding site resulted in the activation of SOX3 promoter. TGIF overexpression downregulates SOX3 promoter activity and decreases endogenous SOX3 protein expression in both uninduced and retinoic acid （RA）-induced NT2/D1 ceils. Up to now, this is the first transcription factor identified as a negative regulator of SOX3 gene expression. The obtained results further underscore the significance of TALE proteins as important transcriptional regulators of SOX3 gene expression.

Pyrite Formation in Organic-rich Clay, Calcitic and Coal-Forming Environments

The early diagenetic characteristics of pyrite formation processes in a Miocene freshwater sequence of mixed sediments （coal fragments in clays, sandstones or shales） alternating with continuous brown coal layers was investigated. Based on abundant minerals, the following main sedimentary environments were distinguished： the illite-montmorillonitic （I-M）, calcitic （Ct） and coal-forming environment （CL）. For these hydrogeochemically differing environments the effects of limiting factors on the pyrite formation process （availability of sulphate and Fe, amount of organic matter and participation of organic sulphur） were assessed by correlation analysis. Significant differences in the effects of these limiting factors in the particular environments were observed. These differences were explained taking in account the different oxidative activity, Fe-complex and surface complex forming properties of humic substances in dependence of pH of environment and the abundance of sorptionally active clay minerals. In environments having a relatively low pH and containing clay minerals （I-M- and CL-environments） the oxidative activity of humic substances （Hs） on pyrite precursors was greatly prevented however pyrite formation depended on reactive Fe availability as the consequence of complex formation. On the contrary, in environments with a relatively high pH, as it was the calcitic, the oxidative activity of Hs was greatly enhanced, thus oxidizing the sulfur precursors of pyrite. The oxidation degree of organic matter was probably also a consequence of the differing activity of the humic electron-acceptors.

Background:This study aimed to assess the association between metabolic syndrome(Met S)and severity of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),and to discuss the pathological relevance of the diagnostic criteria in metabolic(dysfunction)associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD).Methods:This was a multicenter,cross-sectional *** with NAFLD confirmed by liver biopsy were enrolled between july 2016 and December 2018 from 14 centers across the mainland of *** and metabolic parameters were collected to assess the pathological ***:Of 246 enrolled patients with NAFLD,150(61.0%)had the comorbidity of Met *** the increase of metabolic components,the proportions of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)and significant fibrosis were notably *** comorbid three metabolic components significantly increased the proportion of NASH,and further increase of metabolic components did not increase the proportion of ***,the increase of metabolic components was parallel to the increase of the proportion of liver *** the 246 patients,239(97.2%)met the diagnostic criteria of *** non-MAFLD patients had less NASH,they present with similar proportion of significant fibrosis and *** the diagnostic criteria of MAFLD,BMI≥23 kg/m2 was related to NASH(Mantel-Haenszel Common Estimate OR:2.975;95%CI:1.037–8.538;P=0.043),and T2 DM was related to significant fibrosis(Mantel-Haenszel Common Estimate OR:2.531;95%CI:1.388–4.613;P=0.002).The homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)≥2.5 was the most significant factor for NASH(OR:4.100;95%CI:1.772–9.487;P=0.001)and significant factor for liver fibrosis(OR:2.947;95%CI:1.398–6.210;P=0.004)after the adjustments of the BMI and ***:Metabolic dysregulations are important risk factors in NAFLD *** insulin resistance status may play a predominant role in the progression in MAFLD patients.
