This research aims to perform an energy input-output analysis of lavender plant production in Isparta Province of *** order to determine the energy use efficiency of lavender plant,experiments and trials have been conducted on 10 lavender farms around Keçiborlu region of Isparta ***çiborlu region of Isparta Province is an important location for lavender *** these 10 lavender farms,energy input-output has also been calculated through trial and measurement methods during the production season of *** lavender production,energy input has been calculated as 6336.50 mJ/hm^(2)and energy output has been calculated as 17528.81 mJ/hm^(2).Energy inputs consist of chemical fertilizers energy by 52.88%,diesel energy by 33.32%,machinery energy by 9.72%,human labour energy by 2.85%and chemicals by 1.23%.Energy use efficiency,energy productivity,specific energy and net energy in lavender production have been calculated as 2.77;0.75 kg/mJ,1.34 mJ/kg and 11192.31 mJ/hm^(2),***-cost ratio has been calculated as 3.41 by dividing the gross value of production by the total cost of production per hectare.

Recently, shiet al. [2008 Phys. Left. A 372 5922] have studied the dynamical response of the kinetic Ising model in the presence of a sinusoidal oscillating field and presented the dynamic phase diagrams by using an effective-field theory （EFT） and a mean-field theory （mFT）. The mFT results are in conflict with those of the earlier work of Tome and de Oliveira, [1990 Phys. Rev. A 41 4251]. We calculate the dynamic phase diagrams and find that our results are similar to those of the earlier work of Tome and de Oliveira; hence the dynamic phase diagrams calculated by shiet al. are incomplete within both theories, except the low values of frequencies for the mFT calculation. We also investigate the influence of external field frequency （w） and static external field amplitude （h0） for both mFT and EFT calculations. We find that the behaviour of the system strongly depends on the values of w and h0.

Will video caching remain energy efficient in future core optical networks？

Optical networks are expected to cater for the future Internet due to the high speed and capacity that they offer. Caching in the core network has proven to reduce power usage for various video services in current optical networks. This paper investigates whether video caching will still remain power efficient in future optical networks. The study compares the power consumption of caching in a current IP over WDm core network to a future network. The study considers a number of features to exemplify future networks. Future optical networks are considered where：（1） network devices consume less power, （2） network devices have sleep-mode capabilities, （3） IP over WDm implements lightpath bypass, and （4） the demand for video content significantly increases and high definition video dominates. Results show that video caching in future optical networks saves up to 42% of power consumption even when the power consumption of transport reduces. These results suggest that video caching is expected to remain a green option in video services in the future Internet.

The current knowledge base lacks evidence about situational-and surface-level personality variables and their impacts on job embeddedness and proclivity to be absent from *** this recognition,drawing from the hierarchical personality model and fit theory as well as job embeddedness theory,our paper explores the influences of job resourcefulness(JR)and customer orientation(CO)on job embeddedness and propensity to be absent from *** tapped time-lagged data gathered from hotel customer-contact employees in the United Arab Emirates to assess the aforementioned linkages via structural equation *** is a complete mediator between JR and job embeddedness,while job embeddedness completely mediates the linkage between CO and absence ***,hotel employees who can work under a resource-depleted environment are high on CO and therefore display job embeddedness at elevated *** addition,customer-oriented hotel employees have higher job embeddedness and therefore exhibit lower absence intentions.

Cold-formed steel structures are steel structure products constructed from sheets or coils using cold rolling, press brake or bending brake method. These structures are extensively employed in building construction industry due to their light mass, ductility by economic cold forming operations, favorable strength-to-mass ratio and other factors. The utilization of cold formed steel sections with concrete as composite can hugely reduce the construction cost. However, the use of cold formed steel members in composite concrete beams has been very limited. A comprehensive review of developments in composite beam with cold formed steel sections was introduced. It was revealed that employing cold-formed steel channel section to replace reinforcement bars in conventional reinforced concrete beam results in a significant cost reduction without reducing strength capacity. The use of composite beam consisting of cold-formed steel open or close box and filled concrete could also reduce construction cost. Lighter composite girder for bridges with cold-formed steel of U section was introduced. moreover, types of shear connectors to provide composite action between cold-formed steel beam and concrete slab were presented. However, further studies to investigate the effects of metal decking on the behavior of composite beam with cold-formed steel section and introduction of ductile shear connectors were recommended.

Due to the push for carbon neutrality in various human activities,the development of methods for producing electricity without relying on chemical reaction processes or heat sources has become highly ***,the challenge lies in achieving microwatt-scale outputs due to the inherent conductivity of the materials and diverting electric *** address this challenge,our research has concentrated on utilizing nonconductive mediums for water-based low-cost microfibrous ceramic wools in conjunction with a NaCl aqueous solution for power *** main source of electricity originates from the directed movement of water molecules and surface ions through densely packed microfibrous ceramic wools due to the effect of dynamic electric double *** occurrence bears resemblance to the natural water transpiration in plants,thereby presenting a fresh and straightforward approach for producing electricity in an ecofriendly *** generator module demonstrated in this study,measuring 12×6 cm^(2),exhibited a noteworthy open-circuit voltage of 0.35 V,coupled with a short-circuit current of 0.51 *** low-cost ceramic wools are suitable for ubiquitous,permanent energy sources and hold potential for use as self-powered sensors and systems,eliminating the requirement for external energy sources such as sunlight or heat.
