Hydroxypropylcellulose（HPC） films were prepared by casting with cellulose nanocrystals in the presence of anionic surfactant sodium dodecylsulphate（SDS） and cationic surfactant hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide（CTAB）. The cellulose nanocrystals were isolated from maize straw, a biomass source produced in huge quantities as an agrowaste in Brazil. These bionanocomposite films had good transparency and their surface hydrophilic character was evidenced by static contact angle measurements. Thermogravimetry（TgA） measurement revealed that nanocrystals and surfactants changed the thermal stability of the HPC films. Dynamic mechanical analysis（DmA） showed that the tensile storage and loss moduli of the HPC films increased by increasing the contents of cellulose nanocrystals and surfactants, especially in the case of CTAB. This good reinforcing effect of HPC matrix can be explained as due to electrostatic attractive interactions brought about by the presence of CTAB and the nanocrystals.

Its structure derives from multipotent precursors, as shown through clonal analysis of retinal cell lineage. Public understanding of climate and climate change is of broad societal ***,misconceptions regarding reasons for the seasons abound amongst students,teachers,and the public,many of whom believe that seasonality is caused by large variations in Earth’s distance from the *** may be reinforced by textbook illustrations that exaggerate eccentricity or show an inclined view of Earth’s near-circular *** explanations that omit multiple factors influencing seasons,that do not mesh with students’experiences,or that are erroneous,hinder scientifically valid *** show that many teachers share their students’misconceptions,and even when they understand basic concepts,teachers may fail to appreciate the range of factors contributing to seasonal change,or their relative *** have therefore developed a learning resource using google Earth,a virtual globe with other useful,weather-and climate-related visualizations.A classroom test of 27 undergraduates in a public research university showed that 15 improved their test scores after the google Earth-based laboratory class,whereas 5 *** correct answers rose from 4.7/10 to 6/10,giving a paired t-test value of *** using google Earth,students are helped to segue to a heliocentric view.

研究了芳香族二醇单体与聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯(PBT)的固态缩聚反应及其反应动力学.采用的二醇单体是对苯二甲酸二羟乙酯(BHET).一定配比的PBT和BHET混合物在185°C下进行固态缩聚(SSP)反应,分别利用凝胶色谱(SEC)、核磁共振氢谱(1H-NmR)和核磁共振碳谱(13C-NmR)对缩聚产物的数均分子量、分子结构进行了表征.SEC表征的结果表明:反应起始阶段聚合物的数均分子量快速下降,这是由于酯交换导致PBT链的断裂,形成了低聚物;0.5 h后,所有自由的BHET单体都已参与了酯交换反应;此后,所得到的低聚物重新缩聚,导致数均分子量上升,最终得到高数均分子量共聚物.1H-NmR表征结果表明,随着固相反应的进行乙二醇基团在体系中趋于无规分布.13C-NmR表征结果表明:在反应起始阶段,体系自由度快速上升;反应4 h后,自由度开始趋于缓和,所得共聚物的化学结构趋于稳定.

The required treatment and monitoring of contaminants in wastewater reinforces the development of low-cost adsorbents/chemosensors,introducing advantages relative to the detection/removal of toxic metals and ***,it is reported a two-step process of fabrication of fluorescent carbon dots via the hydrothermal treatment of amino acids for the following encapsulation in electrospun *** prominent anionic behavior of electrospun fibers of Eudragit L100 was explored for adsorption of cationic dyes(methylene blue and crystal violet)-with the prevailing electrostatic interaction of parts being favored by the formation of monolayers on the surface of *** the other hand,the controlled release of carbon dots(CDs)from fibers to the reactor can be explored for a second application:the nitrogen ligands from released glycine-based carbon dots can be explored to indicate the presence of metal ions in aqueous *** experiment resulted in a quenching in the fluorescence of the CDs in order of 90%in the emission of particles in the response of the presence of Fe^(3+) ions,characterizing a promising perspective for this experimental system.
