the ground-state mass excess of the t_(z)=−2 drip-line nucleus ^(22)Al is measured for the first time as 18103(10)keV using the newly-developed Bρ-defined isochronous mass spectrometry method at the cooler storage ring in *** new mass excess value allowed us to determine the excitation energies of the two low-lying 1+states in ^(22)Al with significantly reduced uncertainties of 51 *** compared to the analogue states in its mirror nucleus ^(22)F,the mirror energy differences of the two 1^(+)states in the ^(22)Al-^(22)F mirror pair are determined to be−625(51)keV and−330(51)*** excitation energies and mirror energy differences are used to test the state-of-the-art ab initio valence-space in-medium similarity renormalization group calculations with four sets of interactions derived from the chiral effective field *** mechanism leading to the large mirror energy differences is investigated and attributed to the occupation of theπs_(1/2) orbital.

Fault Location Approach to Distribution Networks Based on Custom state Estimator

this paper presents a properly designed branchcurrent based state estimator(BCBsE)used as the main core ofan accurate fault location approach(FLA)devoted to distribution *** to the approaches available in the literature,it uses only a limited set of conventional measurementsobtained from smart meters to accurately locate faults at busesor branches without requiring measurements provided by phasor measurement units(PmUs).this is possible due to themethods used to model the angular reference and the faultedbus,in addition to the proper choice of the weights in the stateestimator(sE).the proposed approach is based on a searchingprocedure composed of up to three stages:①the identificationof the faulted zones;②the identification of the bus closest tothe fault;and③the location of the fault itself,searching onbranches connected to the bus closest to the ***,this paper presents a comprehensive assessment of the proposedapproach,even considering the presence of distributed generation,and a sensitivity study on the proper weights required bythe sE for fault location purposes,which can not be found inthe *** show that the proposed BCBsE-basedFLA is robust,accurate,and aligned with the requirements ofthe traditional and active distribution networks.

the prevalence of obesity has increased and is a health concern *** to the concerns regarding synthetic anti-obesity treatments,nowadays natural products become a *** studies proved that there is a potential to use marine algae as anti-obesity ***,in this study,the lipid inhibitory effect of crude polysaccharide of amyloglucosidase-assisted hydrolysate from sargassum thunbergii(stAC)and its fucoidan fractions(stAFs)on 3t3-L1 cells and high-fat diet(hFD)-induced obese mice were *** to the results,the stAF3,showed the highest xylose content and exhibited significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation by downregulating adipogenic and lipogenic proteins in 3t3-L1 ***,oral supplementation with stAC significantly declined gain in body weight and fat weight,and serum lipid contents in an hFD-induced obesity mouse *** and chemical characterizations demonstrated that puritied stAF3 has consistent surface morphology and small particle size,with similar structural characteristics as commercial ***,these results indicate that stAC and purified stAF3 from sargassum thunbergia is a potent source to develop as ananti-obesity agents or functional food products to counter obesity.

the accurate identification of dinosaur egg accumulations as nests or clutches is crucial for understanding the reproductive behaviour of these extinct ***,existing methods often rely on the presence of complete eggs and embryo remains,and sedimentological criteria that are only applicable to well-structured *** this study,we introduce an innovative approach to characterize egg accumulations in structureless sediments,where traditional nest structures may not be *** methodology employs a unique combination of sedimentological,taphonomic,geochemical,and geophysical proxies for the study of egg *** applied this approach to the egg accumulation from Paimogo(Jurassic,Portugal),traditionally interpreted as a *** findings reveal that the Paimogo egg assemblage is a secondary deposit,resulting from a flooding event in a fluvial plain that dismantled several allosauroid and crocodylomorph *** eggshell vapor conductance results,coupled with sedimentological evidence,suggest that allosauroid dinosaurs buried their eggs in the dry terrain of overbank areas close to a main channel during the breeding season,likely during the dry season to prevent the embryos from *** research underscores the necessity of multidisciplinary approaches in interpreting egg accumulations and offers a novel methodology for studying these accumulations in structureless *** findings provide new insights into the breeding behaviour and nesting preferences of these extinct organisms,contributing to our understanding of dinosaur ecology.

Effect of mitomycin C on the corneal endothelial cells of saudi patients with myopia after transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy:a two-armed cohort study

AIm:to study the effect of mitomycin C(mmC)applied during transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy(tPRK)on the corneal endothelium one week(W1)and three months(m3)after surgery and its ***:In this two-armed cohort study conducted in 2022,eyes treated with mmC during tPRK(group 1)were compared with eyes not treated with mmC(group 2).the corneal endothelial cell(EC)count,EC density(ECD;cells/mm2),average(μm2),standard deviation(μm2),coefficient of variation(CV%),ECmax,ECmin,and EC percentage of hexagonality were estimated at W1 and *** postoperative changes in the EC count in the two groups were compared and correlated with the other independent ***:Group 1 had 26 eyes,and group 2 had 78 *** tPRK indices were significantly higher for the eyes in group 1 than for those in group *** mmC usage was not a significant predictor of the change in ECD(P=0.644),change in CV(P=0.374),and change in the percentage of hexagonality of EC(P=0.164)at ***,the use of mmC was a significant predictor of changes in CV(P=0.014)and the change in the percentage of hexagonality of EC(P=0.039)at *** duration of laser exposure and the size of the optical zone influenced the correlation of mmC use with the changes in EC indices,***:the use of mmC doesn’t affect ECD,CV,and percentage of hexagonality at W1 if other surgical indices are *** m3 after operating myopic eyes by tPRK,mmC significantly influence the CV and percentage of *** duration of the laser application and the size of the optical zone should be considered when determining the effect of mmC on the EC indices.

Antimicrobial resistance(AmR)poses a critical threat to global health and development,with environmental factors—particularly in urban areas—contributing significantly to the spread of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs).however,most research to date has been conducted at a local level,leaving significant gaps in our understanding of the global status of antibiotic resistance in urban *** address this issue,we thoroughly analyzed a total of 86,213 ARGs detected within 4,728 metagenome samples,which were collected by the meta sUB International Consortium involving diverse urban environments in 60 cities of 27 countries,utilizing a deep-learning based *** findings demonstrated the strong geographical specificity of urban environmental resistome,and their correlation with various local socioeconomic and medical *** also identified distinctive evolutionary patterns of ARG-related biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)across different countries,and discovered that the urban environment represents a rich source of novel *** study provides a comprehensive overview of the global urban environmental resistome,and fills a significant gap in our knowledge of large-scale urban antibiotic resistome analysis.

since the discovery of the hydroformylation(oxo-synthesis or Roelen reaction)and the Reppe-reaction,the transition metal-catalyzed carbonylation reactions,providing versatile,facile,and even atom-economic methods for the selective incorporation of C=O functionality to various skeletons,have gained tremendous importance in synthetic organic chemistry from laboratories to industrial *** carbonylation of carbon-carbon multiple bonds,aromatic halides,triflates,etc.,in the presence of various nucleophiles has led the way to produce aldehydes,carboxylic acids,esters,amides,etc.,in the fine chemical ***,these protocols usually proceed in conventional,fossil-based,and usually toxic reaction ***,several attempts have been directed to developing efficient carbonylation methods in alternative,less harmful,non-fossil-based and even in renewable reaction *** this review,we overview the recent applications of alternative solvents such as water,biomass-based alcohols,γ-valerolactone(GVL),2-methyltetrahydrofuran(2-methF),ionic liquids(ILs),deep eutectic solvents(DEs),alkyl levulinates,limonene,α-pinene,and dimethyl carbonate as well as fluorous media to improve efficiency,safety and environmentally benign nature of carbonylation protocols.

Exploring trees Diversity and Ecological Value of mountain Forests in the Blue Nile Region of sudan

We carried out this research at Abu-Gaddaf Natural Forest Reserve (ANFR) which is located east of Blue Nile River, in Blue Nile state, sudan. It aims at exploring tree composition assessing their diversity indices, and ecological importance values. For survey of types and estimation of density of tree species in the forest, we randomly distributed 97 circular sample plots (0.1 hectare (ha)). In each sample plot we identified all trees to the species level, recorded their frequencies and computed species diversity and importance value indices (IVI). A total of 13 tree species, which belong to 12 genera and nine families, were identified in the tree layer of the forest. mean tree density in ANFR was 116 trees/ha, composed mainly of Boswellia papyrifera (Del.) hochst. (48), followed by Combretum hartmannianu (19) and Lannea fruticosa (18). Fabaceae was the most common family followed by Combretaceae and malvaceae. B. papyrifera Delile hochst was the most abundant while Acacia seyal was the least abundant species. species richness (R = 1.71), evenness (E = 0.69), dominance (0.24) indices and simpson’s Index of Diversity (D' = 0.76) suggest a moderate diversity, moderate numbers of individuals in each species and a moderate community stability. the research provides empirical results on diversity and ecological importance value of species, signifies the urging need to safeguard threatened species and to prioritize them for conservation, as well as the need to promote management of abundant species to provide multiple forest ecosystem services.

the magnitude and spatial variability of CO_(2)surface emissions and processes involving CO_(2)released to the atmosphere from the soils are relevant issues in the context of climate *** work evaluated CO_(2)fluxes and^(13)C/^(12)C ratio of vegetation,organic matter,and soil gases from no disturbed soils of Chaco Pampean Plain(Argentina)with different soil properties and environmental conditions(PL and PA units).soil organic decomposition from individual layers was accompanied byδ^(13)C of total organic carbon(δ^(13)C-tOC)values more enriched to depth.δ^(13)C-tOC values in the upper soil profile~ca.0–15 cm were like the plant community of this area(~−33 to−29‰)whileδ^(13)CtOC varied stronger bellow horizon A,till~−24‰.Bothδ^(13)C-tOC and soilδ^(13)C-CO_(2)were similar(~−24 to 26‰)at deeper horizons(~50–60 cm).toward the superficial layers,δ^(13)C-tOC andδ^(13)C-CO_(2)showed more differences(till~4‰),due influence of the diffusion *** A layer(~0–20 cm)from both PL and PA units contained the most enrichedδ^(13)C-CO_(2)values(~−15–17‰)because atmospheric CO_(2)permeated the soil air.A simple two-component mixing model between sources(atmosphericδ^(13)C-CO_(2)and soil CO_(2))confirmed that ***,CO_(2)fluxes reflected the biodegradation of C3 plants(source),diffusive transport,and CO_(2)exchange(atmosphere/soil).soil moisture content appeared as a determining factor in the diffusion process and the magnitude of CO_(2)surface emissions(12–60 g·m^(−2)·d^(−1)).that condition was confirmed by CO_(2)diffusion coefficients estimated by air-filled porosity parameters and soil radon gradient model.
