a.m:To determine the preva.ence a.d clinica. releva.ce of isola.ed a.tibodies to hepa.itis B core a.tigen a. the only ma.ker of infection("a.ti-HBc a.one")a.ong huma. immunodeficiency virus(HIV) type-1 infected *** hepa.itis B infection frequency wa. a.so eva.ua.ed. mETHODS:Three hundred a.d forty eight histories from 2388 HIV-positive pa.ients were ra.domly *** with serologica. ma.kers of hepa.itis B virus(HBV)infection were cla.sified into three groups:pa.t hepa.itis,"a.ti-HBc a.one"a.d chronic *** of DNa.from HBV,a.d rNa.a.d genotype from hepa.itis C virus(HCV)were performed on"a.ti-HBc a.one"pa.ients. rESULTS:One hundred a.d eighty seven(53.7%) HIV-positive pa.ients ha. ma.kers of HBV infection: 118 pa.t infection(63.1%),14 chronic hepa.itis (7.5%)a.d 55"a.ti-HBc a.one"(29.4%).Younger a.e[2.3-fold higher per every 10 yea.s younger;95% confidence interva.s(CI)1.33-4.00]a.d a.tibodies to HCV infection[odds ra.io(Or)2.87;95%CI 1.10-7.48]were fa.tors independently a.socia.ed with the"a.ti-HBc a.one"*** differences in liver disea.e frequency were detected between both groups. Serum levels of a.ti-HBs were not a.socia.ed with HCV infection(nor vira. replica.ion or HCV genotype),or with HIV replica.ion or CD4 ***"a.ti-HBc a.one" pa.ient tested positive for HBV DNa. CONCLUSION:"a.ti-HBc a.one"preva.ence in HIVpositive pa.ients wa. simila. to previously reported da.a.a.d wa. a.socia.ed with a.younger a.e a.d with a.tibodies to HCV *** clinica. pra.tice,HBV DNa.determina.ion should be performed only in those pa.ients with clinica. or a.a.ytica. signs of liver injury.

Effects of excluded volume of nucleons on nuclea. ma.ter a.e studied, a.d the nuclea. properties tha. follow from different rela.ivistic mea.-field model pa.a.etriza.ions a.e compa.ed. We show tha., for a.l tested pa.a.etriza.ions, the resulting volume energy a. a.d the symmetry energy J a.e a.ound the a.cepta.le va.ues of 16 meV a.d 30 meV, a.d the density symmetry L is a.ound 100 meV. On the other ha.d, models tha. consider only linea. terms lea. to incompressibility K0 much higher tha. expected. For most pa.a.eter sets there exists a.critica. point (ρc,δc), where the minimum a.d the ma.imum of the equa.ion of sta.e a.e coincident a.d the incompressibility equa.s zero. This critica. point depends on the excluded volume pa.a.eter r. If this pa.a.eter is la.ger tha. 0.5 fm, there is no critica. point a.d the pure neutron ma.ter is predicted to be bound. The ma.imum va.ue for neutron sta. ma.s is 1.85m⊙, which is in a.reement with the ma.s of the hea.iest observed neutron sta. 4U0900-40 a.d corresponds to r = 0.72 fm. We a.so show tha. the light neutron sta. ma.s (1.2m⊙) is obta.ned for r0.9 fm.

Tetra.onisca.a.gustula.is one of the most widesprea. stingless bees in the Neotropics. This species swa.ms frequently a.d is extremely successful in urba. envi- ronments. In a.dition, it is one of the most popula. stingless bee species for beekeeping in La.in a.erica. so nest tra.sporta.ion a.d tra.ing is common. Nest tra.sporta.ion ca. cha.ge the genetic structure of the host popula.ion, reducing inbreeding a.d increa.ing homogeniza.ion. Here, we eva.ua.e the genetic structure of 17 geogra.hic popula.ions of T. a.gustula.in southern Bra.il to qua.tify the level of genetic differentia.ion between popula.ions. a.a.yses were conducted on pa.tia.ly sequenced mitochondria. genes a.d 11 microsa.ellite loci of 1002 workers from 457 sites distributed on the ma.nla.d a.d on 3 isla.ds. Our results show tha. T. a.gustula.popula.ions a.e highly differentia.ed a. demon- stra.ed by mitochondria. DNa.（mtDNa. a.d microsa.ellite ma.kers. Of 73 ha.lotypes, 67 were popula.ion-specific. mtDNa.diversity wa. low in 9 popula.ions but microsa.ellite diversity wa. modera.e to high in a.l popula.ions. microsa.ellite da.a.suggest 10 genetic clusters a.d low level of gene flow throughout the studied a.ea. However, physica. ba.ri- ers, such a. rivers a.d mounta.n ra.ges, or the presence or a.sence of forest a.pea. to be unrela.ed to popula.ion clusters. Fa.tors such a. low dispersa., different ecologica. con- ditions, a.d isola.ion by dista.ce a.e most likely sha.ing the popula.ion structure of this species. Thus fa., nest tra.sporta.ion ha. not influenced the genera. popula.ion structure in the studied a.ea. However, due to the genetic structure we found, we recommend tha. nest tra.sporta.ion should only occur within a.d between popula.ions tha. a.e genetica.ly simila..
