BACKGrOUND Lung damage in systemic juvenile arthritis(sJIA)is one of the contemporary topics in pediatric *** previous studies showed the severe course and fatal outcomes in some *** information about interstitial lung disease(ILD)in the sJIA is scarce and limited to a total of 100 *** To describe the features of sJIA patients with ILD in *** In the present retrospective cohort study,information about 5 patients less than 18-years-old with sJIA and ILD were *** diagnosis of sJIA was made according to the current 2004 and new provisional International League of Associations for rheumatology criteria *** was diagnosed with chest computed tomography with the exclusion of other possible reasons for concurrent lung *** activation syndrome(mAS)was diagnosed with HLH-2004 and 2016 eULAr/ACr/PrINTO Classification Criteria and hScores were calculated during the lung *** The onset age of sJIA ranged from 1 year to 10 *** time interval before ILD ranged from 1 mo to 3 *** disease course was characterized by the prevalence of the systemic features above articular involvement,intensive rash(100%),persistent and very active mAS(hScore range:194-220)with transaminitis(100%),and respiratory symptoms(100%).Only 3 patients(60%)developed a clubbing *** patients(100%)had pleural effusion and 4 patients(80%)had pericardial effusion at the disease *** patients(40%)developed pulmonary arterial ***-related reactions to tocilizumab were observed in 3(60%)of the *** patient with trisomy 21 had a fatal disease *** of the remaining patients had sJIA remission and 2 patients had *** disease im.roved in 3 patients(75%),but 1 of them had initial deterioration of lung *** patient who has not achieved the sJIA remission had the progressed course of *** cases of hyper-eosinophilia were *** patients(80%)received

Cannabinoids are lipophilic substances derived from Cannabis sativa that can exert a variety of effects in the human *** have been studied in cellular and animal models as well as in human clinical trials for their therapeutic benefits in several human *** of these include central nervous system(CNS)diseases and dysfunctions such as forms of epilepsy,multiple sclerosis,Parkinson’s disease,pain and neuropsychiatric *** addition,the endogenously produced cannabinoid lipids,endocannabinoids,are critical for normal CNS function,and if controlled or modified,may represent an additional therapeutic avenue for CNS *** review discusses in vitro cellular,ex vivo tissue and in vivo animal model studies on cannabinoids and their utility as therapeutics in multiple CNS *** addition,the review provides an overview on the use of cannabinoids in human clinical trials for a variety of CNS *** and endocannabinoids hold promise for use as disease modifiers and therapeutic agents for the prevention or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and neurological disorders.

Prediction of the undrained shear strength of remolded soil with non-linear regression,fuzzy logic,and artificial neural network

This study aims to predict the undrained shear strength of remolded soil samples using non-linear regression analyses,fuzzy logic,and artificial neural network modeling.A total of 1306 undrained shear strength results from 230 different remolded soil test settings reported in 21 publications were collected,utilizing six different measurement *** water content,plastic limit,and liquid limit were used as input parameters for fuzzy logic and artificial neural network modeling,liquidity index or water content ratio was considered as an input parameter for non-linear regression *** non-linear regression analyses,12 different regression equations were derived for the prediction of undrained shear strength of remolded ***-Forward backpropagation and the TANSIG transfer function were used for artificial neural network modeling,while the mamdani inference system was preferred with trapezoidal and triangular membership functions for fuzzy logic *** experimental results of 914 tests were used for training of the artificial neural network models,196 for validation and 196 for *** was observed that the accuracy of the artificial neural network and fuzzy logic modeling was higher than that of the non-linear regression ***,a simple and reliable regression equation was proposed for assessments of undrained shear strength values with higher coefficients of determination.

Purpose:The present work examines the associations of dietary habits,sedentarism,physical activity(PA)levels and sleep habits,with thyroid function in young euthyroid ***:A total of 105 young euthyroid adults participated in this cross-sectional *** function was determined in fasting conditions(>6 h).Dietary habits were measured by a food frequency questionnaire and three non-consecutive 24 h recalls,and different dietary intake and patterns were then *** time spent in sedentary,PA levels and sleep habits were objectively measured using a wrist-worn ***:energy and carbohydrate intake were positively associated with thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)(β=0.222;r^(2)=0.102;P=0.022 andβ=0.425;r^(2)=0.129;P=0.007,respectively)whereas fat intake was negatively associated with TSH(β=-0.428;r^(2)=0.137;P=0.004).energy intake was also positively associated with free triiodothyronine(β=0.277;r^(2)=0.137;P=0.004).Further,adherence to the mediterranean diet was negatively related to TSH and free thyroxine(FT4)(β=-0.221;r^(2)=0.113;P=0.020 andβ=-0.268;r^(2)=0.071;P=0.007,respectively).Vigorous-intensity and overall PA were negatively associated with FT4(β=-0.227;r^(2)=0.052;P=0.022 andβ=-0.204;r^(2)=0.042;P=0.041,respectively).In contrast,no associations were found between sleep parameters and thyroid ***:Lifestyle factors such as dietary intake and PA levels seems to be related to thyroid function even in young euthyroid adults.

Developing a biomaterial for wound healing applications is still a ***,dysprosium oxide(Dy_(2)O_(3)),aluminum oxide(Al_(2)O_(3)),and graphene oxide(GO)were embedded in cast films based on polycaprolactone(PCL)to be examined for wound dressing *** techniques were used to characterize the fabricated films including X-ray diffraction(XrD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIr),raman,and scanning electron microscopy(Sem),besides their biological *** thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)exhibits high thermal stability as the scaffold weight decreases slightly to 98.6%after raising the temperature from.room temperature to 280℃.The cell viability was investigated and it is shown that the viable cells grow up to approximately 93%at 75μg/***,the cell attachment shows excellent behavior as the cells attach on most of the surface of the modified PCL which shows high biocompatibility.

Complexed amino acid minerals vs. bis-glycinate chelated minerals:Impact on the performance of old laying hens

The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace minerals(Zn, mn, and Cu) from complexed amino acid minerals(ZmCAA) and bis-glycinate chelated minerals(ZmCGly) in laying hen diets on performance,internal and external egg quality, yolk mineral deposition, intestinal m.rphometry, and bone characteristics. From 78 to 98 weeks of age, 400 White LSL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a randomized design with 4 treatments with 10 replicates per treatment. Treatments were distributed in a 2 ×2 factorial arrangement using either Zn, mn, and Cu of ZmCAA or ZmCGly source at 2 levels: low(20, 20,and 3.5 mg/kg of Zn, mn, and Cu, respectively) or high(40, 40, and 7 mg/kg of Zn, mn, and Cu,respectively). The analysis of variance was performed, and in cases where differences were observed, the means were compared using Tukey?s test(P e source and level of trace mineral supplementation had a significant impact on the performance of laying hens. Hens fed ZmCAA had higher egg production(P = 0.01), egg weight(P = 0.02), egg mass(P = 0.01), and lower feed conversion ratio(P =0.05) compared to those fed ZmCGly. The ZmCAA supplementation showed higher albumen height(P =0.01), albumen weight(P = 0.01), and eggshell thickness(P e deposition of Zn(P mn(Pe egg yolk was greater for hens received ZmCAA. Tibia weight(P = 0.04)and bone densitometry(P e tibia were higher with ZmCAA supplementation. In the small intestine, ZmCAA resulted in longer villi(P = 0.02) and shorter crypt depth(P = 0.01) in the *** and ileum measurements were influenced by the level and source of trace minerals(P ens fed ZmCAA exhibited superior performance, egg quality, deposition of trace minerals in the egg yolk, and bone density compared to hens fed ZmCGly. In this study, older laying hens supplemented with ZmCAA at lower levels demonstrated adequate levels of supplementation.

Facile synthesis of sam.rium and cerium doped double perovskite cobaltite with enhanced dielectric response

The investigation of Sm-Ce doping on structure,conduction,and dielectric response of Bi_(2)Ca_(2-2x)Sm_(x)CexCoO_(6)(x=0.000,0.025,0.050,0.075)(BCSCCO)are *** the specimens were synthesized by a facile synthesis technique named the co-precipitation route.X-ray diffraction(XrD)reveals that BCSCCO crystallizes into one phase with space group P21/*** crystallite size,dislocation density,lattice parameters,lattice strain,unit cell volume,and bulk density were determined using XrD *** structural properties of Bi_(2)Ca_(2)CoO_(6)were examined using calculations based on the density functional *** and experimental values discrepancy is less than 1%.A scanning electron microscope was used for performing a microstructural *** Sem images demonstrate the homogeneous distribution of grains with a range of sizes(0.054-0.090μm).The alternating current(ac)conductivity,dielectric permittivity,and tangent loss were also studied as a function of frequency(20 Hz-3 mHz)at different temperatures(100-500℃).All synthesized samples were examined using non-linear Debye's function to determine their spreading factor and relaxation *** specimen with the lowest crystallite size(∼23 nm)exhibits a high dielectric permittivity(∼3.80×10^(6)).The conduction mechanism was examined in the studied samples with the use of Jonscher's power *** power law indicates that the BCSCCO(x=0.000,0.025)follows correlated barrier hopping,whereas the x=0.050 and 0.075 compositions follow non-overlapping polaron *** studied specimen Bi_(2)Ca_(1.9)0Sm_(0.05)0Ce_(0.05)_(0)CoO_(6)with the highest density(∼5.65 g/cm^(3))displays a high electrical conductivity(∼46.1 S/cm).These findings correspond to those published for ceramics made from calcium cobaltite using solid-state reactions(5.0-26.0 S/cm).
