Cubic phase Tm^(3+)/Yb^(3+):Y_(2)o_(3) and Tm^(3+)/Yb^(3+)/Gd^(3+):Y_(2)o_(3) phosphors were prepared by low temperature combustion technique for upconversion emission in UV-visible *** 980 nm excitation has generated UV emission at 314 nm in tridoped phosphor due to the energy transfer from Tm^(3+) to Gd^(3+)*** emission bands from Tm^(3+) are also observed in both the *** coupled Stark sublevels ^(1)G_(4(a))(476 nm) and ^(1)G_(4(b))(488 nm) of Tm^(3+) ion were utilised for optical thermometry using fluorescent intensity ratio(FIR) *** result shows that maximum absolute sensitivity in tridoped phosphor is observed to be 1.33 × 10^(-3) K^(-1) at 298 ***,temperature rise of phosphor at various pump power densities was also measured and it is estimated to achieve 407 K at the pump power density of 38.46 W/cm^(2).

To evaluate the temporal patterns of N deficiencies in corn and assess the ability of remote sensing to diagnose N deficiencies during the vegetative growth of corn, three field-scale experiments were conducted with various rates (56, 112, and 168 kg N ha-1 ), timing (early and late applications) and placement (injected into soil and dribbled on soil surface) of N fertilization in a split-plot design. Relationships between canopy reflectance during the growing season and yield data at the end of growing season were studied for different treatments. Results showed significant variation in both grain yields and canopy reflectance among the three cornfields. The N fertilization made in early June resulted in low canopy reflectance in early July, but the differences disappeared as the season progressed. The effect of N rates on canopy reflectance was not significant in early July but it gradually became detectable in mid-July and thereafter. The fertilizer placement had a significant effect on grain yields only in one field but not on canopy reflectance in all three fields. These observations suggest that the deficiency of N developed under field conditions is a dynamic phenomenon, which adds complexity for accurately defining "N deficiency" and effectively developing management strategies for in-season correction. Remote sensing throughout the season helps collect information about important interactions that have not been given enough attention in the past.

In this work,the results of the study on the optical properties of the perovskite structure ABo3 with La^(3+) substitution for ions K^(+) and Na^(+) in the A site and Ti^(4+) substitution for ion Nb^(5+) in the B site are *** ceramics were sintered at 1100℃ and 1190℃ and formed at 10 mPa and 80 *** ceramics were obtained with 94% of the theoretical *** piezoresponse force microscopy(PFm)showed needle-shaped grains with a size of 30 nm for the samples formed at 10 mPa at both sintering ***,the high temperature and high pressure used in formation reduced the energy of the band gap(Eg)from 3.36 to 3.09 *** emissions to 2.19,1.86,2.5,and 2.31 eV were obtained by exciting the samples at 325,373,457,and 500 nm,respectively;these emissions corresponded to blue-yellow-red regions of the visible spectrum.

The present study was launched to compare two techniques of internal fixation for the repair of short oblique mid-shaft metacarpal fracture in dogs. The study was carried out on 12 mongrel dogs of either sex divided into three groups, i.e. A, B and C, each group comprising four animals each. In group A, after the induction of a short oblique mid-shaft metacarpal fracture, internal fixation was carried out using a miniature finger plate of size 2.7 mm;in group B, internal fixation was achieved by application of a single bone screw in lag fashion, while group C served as Control, and in these animals, no method of internal fixation was tried. The dogs were kept in kennels for 12 weeks. The results were collected on the basis of clinical examination, radiographic evidence and post-mortem findings. The data was also analyzed statistically. The clinical results clearly indicated that miniature finger plate was the best internal implant for the treatment of short oblique mid-shaft metacarpal fracture, especially in precious breeds of dogs kept for hunting and racing purposes, in terms of ideal immobilization and good callus formation.

The prediction of interfacial turbulence characteristics is one of the still challenging of two-phase stratified *** evaluation of some important parameters such as interfacial heat transfer coefficient based on turbulence kinetic energy and turbulence dissipation rate in some models,intensifies the importance of turbulence flow correct *** gradient of velocity and turbulence kinetic energy at the interface of two-phase stratified flow leads to a major overestimation or underestimation of flow characteristics without any special *** of a source function of turbulence eddy frequency at the interface is one of the common solution employed in past *** this solution remedies some shortcomings of traditional methods in smooth stratified flow,its application in wavy stratified flow needs the other *** examination of turbulence characteristics near the free surface reveals that,in addition to turbulence eddy frequency,the other source function of turbulence kinetic energy should be considered near the free ***,a new source function of turbulence kinetic energy is proposed at the interface based on flow *** new method has been employed for Fabre et al.(1987)experiment designed for air/water stratified *** results of simulation have a good agreement with experimental data and turbulence characteristic can be captured near the free surface.

In this paper,a joint analysis consisting of goodness-of-fit tests and markov chain monte Carlo simulations are used to assess the performance of some ranked set sampling *** markov chain monte Carlo simulations are conducted when Bayesian methods with Jeffery’s priors of the unknown parameters of Weibull distribution are used,while the goodness of fit analysis is conducted when the likelihood estimators are used and the corresponding empirical distributions are *** ranked set sampling designs considered in this research are the usual ranked set sampling,extreme ranked set sampling,median ranked set sampling,and neoteric ranked set sampling *** intensive monte Carlo simulation study is conducted using Lindley’s approximation algorithm to compute the different designs’-based *** study showed that the dependent design“neoteric ranked set sampling design”is superior to other ranked set designs and the total relative efficiency is higher than the other designs’total relative efficiency.

The rapid growth of interconnected high performance workstations has produced a new computing paradigm called clustered of workstations computing. In these systems load balance problem is a serious impediment to achieve good performance. The main concern of this paper is the implementation of dynamic load balancing algorithm, asynchronous Round Robin (ARR), for balancing workload of parallel tree computation depth-first-search algorithm on Cluster of Heterogeneous Workstations (CoW) many algorithms in artificial intelligence and other areas of computer science are based on depth first search in implicitty defined trees. For these algorithms a load-balancing scheme is required, which is able to evenly distribute parts of an irregularly shaped tree over the workstations with minimal interprocessor communication and without prior knowledge of the tree’s shape. For the (ARR) algorithm only minimal interprocessor communication is needed when necessary and it runs under the mPI (message passing interface) that allows parallel execution on heterogeneous SUN cluster of workstation platform. The program code is written in C language and executed under UNIX operating system (Solaris version).

A generalization of the linguistic aggregation functions （or operators） is presented by using generalized and quasiarithmetic means. Firstly, the linguistic weighted generalized mean （LWGm） and the linguistic generalized ordered weighted averaging （LGoWA） operator are introduced. These aggregation functions use linguistic information and generalized means in the weighted average （WA） and in the ordered weighted averaging （oWA） function. They are very useful for uncertain situations where the available information cannot be assessed with numerical values but it is possible to use linguistic assessments. These aggregation operators generalize a wide range of aggregation operators that use linguistic information such as the linguistic generalized mean （LGm）, the linguistic oWA （LoWA） operator and the linguistic or- dered weighted quadratic averaging （LoWQA） operator. We also introduce a further generalization by using quasi-arithmetic means instead of generalized means obtaining the quasi-LWA and the quasi-LoWA operator. Finally, we develop an application of the new approach where we analyze a decision making problem regarding the selection of strategies.

Numerous molecular mechanisms are being examined in an attempt to discover disease-modifying drugs to slow down the underlying neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s *** studies have shown the beneficial effects of epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors on the enhancement of behavioral and pathological sequelae in Alzheimer’s *** the promising effects of epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors in Alzheimer’s disease,there is no irrefutable neuroprotective evidence in well-established animal models using epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors due to many un-explored downstream signaling *** caused controversy about the potential involvement of epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors in any prospective clinical *** this review,the mystery beyond the under-investigation of epidermal growth factor receptor in Alzheimer’s disease will be ***,their molecular mechanisms in neurodegeneration will be ***,we will shed light on SARS-CoVID-19 induced neurological manifestations mediated by epidermal growth factor ***,we will discuss future perspectives and under-examined epidermal growth factor receptor downstream signaling pathways that warrant more *** conclude that epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors are novel effective therapeutic approaches that require further research in attempts to be repositioned in the delay of Alzheimer’s disease progression.
