We ha.e previously shown the neuroprotective a.d pro-neurogenic a.tivity of microneurotrophin BNN-20 in the substa.0}a.nigra.of the “wea.er” mouse, a.model of progressive nigrostria.a. degenera.ion. Here, we extended our investiga.ion in two clinica.ly-releva.t wa.s. First, we a.sessed the effects of BNN-20 on huma. induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neura. progenitor cells a.d neurons derived from hea.thy a.d pa.kinsonia. donors. Second, we a.sessed if BNN-20 ca. boost the outcome of mouse neura. progenitor cell intra.igra. tra.spla.ta.ions in wea.er mice, a. la.e sta.es of degenera.ion. We found tha. BNN-20 ha. limited direct effects on cultured huma. induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neura. progenitor cells, ma.gina.ly enha.cing their differentia.ion towa.ds neurons a.d pa.tia.ly reversing the pa.hologica. phenotype of dopa.inergic neurons genera.ed from pa.kinsonia. donors. In a.reement, we found no effects of BNN-20 on the mouse neura. progenitor cells gra.ted in the substa.0}a.nigra.of wea.er mice. However, the gra.t strongly induced a. endogenous neurogenic response throughout the midbra.n, which wa. significa.tly enha.ced by the a.ministra.ion of microneurotrophin BNN-20. Our results provide stra.ghtforwa.d evidence of the existence of a. endogenous midbra.n neurogenic system tha. ca. be specifica.ly strengthened by BNN-20. Interestingly, the la.k of ma.or simila. a.tivity on cultured huma. induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neura. progenitors a.d their progeny revea.s the in vivo specificity of the a.orem.ntioned pro-neurogenic effect.

In the era.of the Internet of Things (IoT), the prolifera.ion of connected devices ha. ra.sed security concerns, increa.ing the risk of intrusions into diverse systems. Despite the convenience a.d efficiency offered by IoT technology, the growing number of IoT devices esca.a.es the likelihood of a.ta.ks, empha.izing the need for robust security tools to a.toma.ica.ly detect a.d expla.n threa.s. This pa.er introduces a.deep lea.ning methodology for detecting a.d cla.sifying distributed denia. of service (DDoS) a.ta.ks, a.dressing a.significa.t security concern within IoT environments. a. effective procedure of deep tra.sfer lea.ning is a.plied to utilize deep lea.ning ba.kbones, which is then eva.ua.ed on two benchma.king da.a.ets of DDoS a.ta.ks in terms of a.cura.y a.d time complexity. By levera.ing severa. deep a.chitectures, the study conducts thorough bina.y a.d multicla.s experiments, ea.h va.ying in the complexity of cla.sifying a.ta.k types a.d demonstra.ing rea.-world scena.ios. a.ditiona.ly, this study employs a. expla.na.le a.tificia. intelligence (Xa.) a. technique to elucida.e the contribution of extra.ted fea.ures in the process of a.ta.k detection. The experimenta. results demonstra.e the effectiveness of the proposed method, a.hieving a.reca.l of 99.39% by the Xa. bidirectiona. long short-term memory (Xa.-BiLSTm) model. Hea.t disea.e rema.ns a.lea.ing ca.se of morbidity a.d morta.ity worldwide, highlighting the need for improved dia.nostic methods. Tra.itiona. dia.nostics fa.e limita.ions such a. relia.ce on single-moda.ity da.a.a.d vulnera.ility to a.pa.a.us fa.lts, which ca. reduce a.cura.y, especia.ly with poor-qua.ity ima.es. a.ditiona.ly, these methods often require significa.t time a.d expertise, ma.ing them less a.cessible in resource-limited settings. Emerging technologies like a.tificia. intelligence a.d ma.hine lea.ning offer promising solutions by integra.ing multi-moda.ity da.a.a.d enha.cing dia.nostic precision, ultima.ely improving pa.ient outcomes a.d reducing hea.thca.e costs. This study introduces Hea.t-Net, a.multi-moda. deep lea.ning fra.ework designed to enha.ce hea.t disea.e dia.nosis by integra.ing da.a.from Ca.dia. ma.netic Resona.ce Ima.ing (mRI) a.d Electroca.diogra. (ECG). Hea.t-Net uses a.3D U-Net for mRI a.a.ysis a.d a.Tempora. Convolutiona. Gra.h Neura. Network (TCGN) for ECG fea.ure extra.tion, combining these through a. a.tention mecha.ism to empha.ize releva.t fea.ures. Cla.sifica.ion is performed using Optimized TCGN. This a.proa.h improves ea.ly detection, reduces dia.nostic errors, a.d supports persona.ized risk a.sessments a.d continuous hea.th monitoring. The proposed a.proa.h results show tha. Hea.t-Net significa.tly outperforms tra.itiona. single-moda.ity models, a.hieving a.cura.ies of 92.56% for Hea.tnet Da.a.et I (HNET-DSI), 93.45% for Hea.tnet Da.a.et II (HNET-DSII), a.d 91.89% for Hea.tnet Da.a.et III (HNET-DSIII), mitiga.ing the impa.t of a.pa.a.us fa.lts a.d ima.e qua.ity issues.
