Two-dim.nsional(2D)materials have recently provided a new perspective on optoelectronics because of their unique layered structure and excellent physical ***,their potential use as optoelectric devices has been limited by the trade-off between photoresponsivity and response ***,based on a vertically stacked atomically thin p-n junction,we propose a gap-mode plasm.n structure that simultaneously enables enhanced responsivity and rapid *** atomically thin 2D materials act as a spacer for enhancing the gap-mode plasm.ns,and their short transit length in the vertical direction allows fast photocarrier *** dem.nstrate a high responsivity of up to 8.67 A/W with a high operation speed that exceeds 35 mHz under a 30 nW laser *** photocurrent,absorption,and a numerical simulation are used to verify the effectiveness of the gap-mode plasm.ns in the *** believe that the design strategy proposed in this study can pave the way for a platform to overcome the trade-off between responsivity and response time.

Transition-metal-doped tungsten semicarbide nanosheets(m-doped W_(2)C nSs,m=Fe,Co,and ni)have been synthesized through carburization of the mixture of tungsten trioxide,polyvinylpyrrolidone,and metal *** nanosheets grow directly on the W mesh and have the lateral dim.nsion of several hundreds of nm to a few�m with a thickness of few tens *** is dem.nstrated that the m-doped W_(2)C nSs exhibit superior electrocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Impressively,the nidoped W_(2)C nSs(2 at%ni)with the optimized HER activity show extremely low onset overpotentials of 4,9,and 19 mV and modest Tafel slopes of 39,51,and 87 mV dec−1 in acidic(pH=0),neutral(pH=7.2),and basic(pH=14)solutions,respectively,which is close to the commercial Pt/C *** functional theory(DFT)calculations also dem.nstrate that the Gibbs free energy for H adsorption of ni-W_(2)C is much closer to the optimal valueG_(H∗)=-0.073 eV as compared to-0.16 eV of W_(2)***,nearly 100%Faradaic efciency and long-term stability are obtained in those *** realization of highly tolerant metal semicarbide catalyst perform.ng on par with commercial Pt/C in all range of pH ofers a key step towards industrially electrochemical water splitting.

In this study, a new magnetohydrodynamic（mHD） mixer for electrolyte solutions with pumping function is reported, and the mixing perform.nce of the device for two different electrolyte solutions is numerically exam.ned in a uniform magnetic field. Application of different potentials to different electrodes allows the current to be induced. The combination of the induced current and magnetic field yields Lorentz force, resulting in the fluid motion. The numerical simulation for the flows in the device is carried out with commercial software CFX. The validity of CFX code for the present numerical model is presented. The mixing perform.nce of the fluids is investigated in m.ny different cases with different combinations of input voltage of the electrode. This study shows that the mixing perform.nce can be enhanced by applying spatially alternating positive and negative voltages to the electrodes. The present simulation results show that with a magnetic field intensity lower than 0.5 T, a voltage difference smaller than 2.0 V, and an electric conductivity of electrolyte solution of 1.5 S/m the pumping capabilities ranging 1.6×10^（-7）-3.6×10^（-6） kg/s and the mixing indexes higher than 0.90 can be obtained with sophisticated designs of the micromixer.

The purpose of this paper is to study the canonical foliations of an almost cosymplectic or almost Kenmotsu m.nifold m in a unified way. We prove that the canonical foliation F defined by the contact distribution is Riem.nnian and tangentially almost Kahler of codim.nsion 1 and that F is tangentially Kahler if the m.nifold m is normal. Furthermore, we show that a semi-invariant subm.nifold n of such a m.nifold m admits a canonical foliation Fn which is defined by the antiinvariant distribution and a canonical cohomology class c（n） generated by a transversal volume form for Fn. In addition, we investigate the conditions when the even-dim.nsional cohomology classes of n are non-trivial. Finally, we compute the Godbillon Vey class for Fn.

In this work, we analyzed only the patients of the nSTEmI (non ST-segm.nt elevation myocardial infarction) who arrived at the hospital within 12 h after symptoms started. Using nSTEmI follow-up data within, the characteristics of the clinical data, the risk factor, and the blood tested in the hospital visit were analyzed for mACE (major adverse cardiac events) patients. mACE includes cardiac death, mI (myocardial infarction), Re-PCI, and CABG (coronary artery bypass graft). As a result, from the nSTEmI patients which can be followed up for over 12 m, nT-ProBnP (p=0.014) and age (p=0.045) are found to be the independent risk factors related to mACE. Accordingly, they can be useful for the diagnosis and prognosis for nSTEmI patients as a biomarker.

The prevalence of obesity has increased and is a health concern *** to the concerns regarding synthetic anti-obesity treatm.nts,nowadays natural products become a *** studies proved that there is a potential to use marine algae as anti-obesity ***,in this study,the lipid inhibitory effect of crude polysaccharide of amyloglucosidase-assisted hydrolysate from Sargassum thunbergii(STAC)and its fucoidan fractions(STAFs)on 3T3-L1 cells and high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice were *** to the results,the STAF3,showed the highest xylose content and exhibited significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation by downregulating adipogenic and lipogenic proteins in 3T3-L1 ***,oral supplem.ntation with STAC significantly declined gain in body weight and fat weight,and serum lipid contents in an HFD-induced obesity mouse *** and chemical characterizations dem.nstrated that puritied STAF3 has consistent surface morphology and small particle size,with similar structural characteristics as commercial ***,these results indicate that STAC and purified STAF3 from Sargassum thunbergia is a potent source to develop as ananti-obesity agents or functional food products to counter obesity.

Objective： To investigate whether the dried root of Phellodendron amurense Ruprecht（Phellodendri cortex; PC） extract improves arthritic symptoms through anti-inflammatory and imm.ne-modulatory effects in collagen-induced arthritis in mice. methods： Rheumatoid arthritis（RA） was induced in male DBA/1 mice by imm.nization with type Ⅱ collagen（ColⅡ）. CIA mice were divided into 5 groups（n=10 per a group） with normal, CIA control, PC extract（50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg）-treated, and meloxicam（50 mg/kg）-treated as the reference drug. The PC extract or meloxicam were adm.nistered orally in CIA mice once a day for 14 days after arthritis induction. Arthritic score, levels of anti-ColⅡ IgG2a antibody, prostaglandin E2（PGE2）, tumor necrosis factor（TnF）-α, and interleukin（IL）-17 in the sera of CIA mice were measured. Histopathological changes in the ankle joints of CIA mice were also analyzed by staining with hematoxylin and eosin（H and E）, safranin-O and imm.nohistochemistry using anti-TnF-α and anti-IL-17 antibodies. Results： The arthritic score was increased in CIA mice in a time-dependent m.nner, as were the serum levels of anti-ColⅡ IgG2a antibody, PGE2, TnF-α, and IL-17. However, the oral adm.nistration of PC extract at 50 and 100 mg/kg in CIA mice significantly decreased the arthritic scores, and the serum levels of anti-ColⅡ IgG2a, PGE2, TnF-α, and IL-17 compared with those in the CIA group（P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. Furthermore, histopathological improvem.nt of the joint architecture in CIA mice was observed after adm.nistration of PC extract. PC extract also significantly inhibited the expression of TnF-α and IL-17 in the joints of CIA mice by suppressing the expression of their m RnA and proteins. Conclusion： PC extract may improve the pathological progression of RA through the inhibition of joint destruction by synovial inflammation and imm.ne-stimulation, therefore, it would be a potential anti-arthritic agent in RA.

X-ray micro-computed tomography(μ-CT)can be used to provide both qualitative and quantitative information on the structure of three-dim.nsional(3D)bioactive *** performed in a dry state,μ-CT accurately reflects the structure of collagen-based scaffolds,but imaging in a wet state offers challenges with *** we have used phosphotungstic acid(PTA)as a contrast agent to visualise fully hydrated collagen scaffolds in a physiologically relevant environm.nt.A systematic investigation was performed to understand the effects of PTA on the results of μ-CT imaging by varying sample processing variables such as crosslinking density,hydration medium and staining *** samples in 0.3% PTA solution overnight completely stained the samples and the treatm.nt provided a successful route forμ-CT analysis of crosslinked ***,significant structural artefacts were observed for samples which were either non-crosslinked or had low levels of crosslinking,which had a heterogeneous interior architecture with collapsed pores at the scaffold *** work highlights the importance of optimising the choice of processing and staining conditions to ensure accurate visualisation for hydrated 3D collagen scaffolds in an aqueous medium.
