Functional properties,antioxidant activity and in-vitro digestibility characteristics of brown and polished rice flours of Indian temperate region

The present investigation was aimed to study functional properties,antioxidant activity and in-vitro digestibility characteristics of brown and polished flours obtained from four rice cultivars(SR-4,K-39,mushq Budij and Zhag)of *** rice flours had higher total dietary fibre(3.08%-3.68%),oil absorption(116.0%-139.0%),emulsion capacity(4.78%-9.52%),emulsion stability(87.46%-99.93%)and resistant starch content(6.80%-9.00%)than polished ***,polished flours presented greater water absorption(102.0%-122.0%),foaming capacity(8.00%-13.63%),apparent amylose(19.16%-22.62%),peak(2260.0-2408.0 cP),trough(1372.0-1589.0 cP)and breakdown(714.0-978.0 cP)viscosities than their brown *** rice flours depicted highest total phenolic content(4.40-6.40 mg GAE/g)and inhibition of lipid peroxidation(19.50%-33.20%).However,equilibrium starch hydrolysis percentage(C∞)and predicted glycemic index of brown rice flours were lower than their polished *** rice cultivars,brown Zhag flour had the highest total dietary fibre(3.68%),emulsion capacity(9.52%),emulsion stability(99.93%),resistant starch(9.00%),DPPH radical scavenging activity(85.45%)and inhibition of lipid peroxidation(33.20%),*** capacity and emulsion stability were positively correlated with protein content of rice ***,peak,trough,breakdown and setback viscosities were negatively correlated with protein and fat contents of rice *** present investigation will be helpful in identifying nutritive role of rice flours from studied cultivars in human diet.

DAC CO_(2)capture is gaining wide attention as one of the most difficult carbon approaches to tackle climate *** this work,different pore-size silica spheres were grafted using different amine groups such as APTES,APTmS,and ***,all samples based on the wet and dry grafting method were used for CO_(2)adsorption isotherm at room temperature and pressure(298 K and 1 bar).The sample based on the wet grafting(Silica-APTES-W)sample shows the highest CO_(2)uptake 1.67 mmol/***,the adsorption isotherm of the Silica-APTES-W sample was showed a high capacity of CO_(2)1.2 mmol/g at 25℃,which describes the strong physical interaction between CO_(2)and *** isosteric adsorption of Silica-APTES-W also confirmed that the physical adsorption was dominant because of low adsorption heat ranging from 23 to 37 k J/***,the fixed bed experiment was conducted with 2000 ppm CO_(2)that obtains the optimal working capacity 4.5 m L/g with the lowest regeneration temperature 90℃.It was shown that Silica-APTES-W sample was superior performance for DAC CO_(2)capture in practical applications.

A considerable portion of the population now experiences osteoarthritis of the knee,spine,and hip due to lifestyle ***,early treatment,recognition and prevention are essential to reduce damage;nevertheless,this time-consuming activity necessitates a variety of tests and in-depth analysis by *** overcome the existing challenges in the early detection of Knee Osteoarthritis(KOA),an effective automated technique,prompt recognition,and correct categorization are *** work suggests a method based on an improved deep learning algorithm that makes use of data from the knee images after segmentation to detect KOA and its severity using the Kellgren-Lawrence(KL) classification schemes,such as Class-I,Class-II,Class-III,and *** ResNet to segregate knee pictures,we first collected features from these images before using the Bidirectional Long Short-Term memory(BiLSTm)architecture to classify *** that the technique is a pre-trained network and doesn’t require a large training set,the mendeley VI dataset has been utilized for the training of the proposed *** evaluate the effectiveness of the suggested model,cross-validation has also been employed using the Osteoarthritis Initiative(OAI)***,our suggested technique is more resilient,which overcomes the challenge of imbalanced training data due to the hybrid architecture of our proposed *** suggested algorithm is a cuttingedge and successful method for documenting the successful application of the timely identification and severity categorization of *** algorithm showed a cross-validation accuracy of 78.57%and a testing accuracy of 84.09%.Numerous tests have been conducted to show that our suggested algorithm is more reliable and capable than the state-of-the-art at identifying and categorizing KOA disease.

Optimizing Fully Convolutional Encoder-Decoder Network for Segmentation of Diabetic Eye Disease

In the emerging field of image segmentation,Fully Convolutional Networks(FCNs)have recently become ***,their effectiveness is intimately linked with the correct selection and fine-tuning of hyperparameters,which can often be a cumbersome manual *** main aim of this study is to propose a more efficient,less labour-intensive approach to hyperparameter optimization in FCNs for segmenting fundus *** this end,our research introduces a hyperparameter-optimized Fully Convolutional Encoder-Decoder Network(FCEDN).The optimization is handled by a novel Genetic Grey Wolf Optimization(G-GWO)*** algorithm employs the Genetic Algorithm(GA)to generate a diverse set of initial *** leverages Grey Wolf Optimization(GWO)to fine-tune these positions within the discrete search *** on the Indian Diabetic Retinopathy Image Dataset(IDRiD),Diabetic Retinopathy,Hypertension,Age-related macular degeneration and Glacuoma ImageS(DR-HAGIS),and Ocular Disease Intelligent Recognition(ODIR)datasets showed that the G-GWO method outperformed four other variants of GWO,GA,and PSO-based hyperparameter optimization *** proposed model achieved impressive segmentation results,with accuracy rates of 98.5%for IDRiD,98.7%for DR-HAGIS,and 98.4%,98.8%,and 98.5%for different sub-datasets within *** results suggest that the proposed hyperparameter-optimized FCEDN model,driven by the G-GWO algorithm,is more efficient than recent deep-learning models for image segmentation *** thereby presents the potential for increased automation and accuracy in the segmentation of fundus images,mitigating the need for extensive manual hyperparameter adjustments.

It has been shown [Chin. Phys. Lett.25 （2008） 4199] that the generalized second law of thermodynamics holds in Einstein gravity. Here we extend this procedure for Gauss-Bonnet and Lovelock gravities. It is shown that by employing the general expression for temperature Th =｜κ｜/2π= 1/2πτA （1-τA/2HτA） associated with the apparent horizon of a Friedman Robertson-Walker （FRW） universe and assuming Tm = bTh, we are able to construct conditions for which the generalized second law holds in Gauss Bonnet and Lovelock gravities, where Tm and Th are the temperatures of the source and the horizon respectively.

The effect of metal （Ti, Ni, and Au） electrodes on humidity sensing properties of electrospun TiO2 nanofibers was investigated in this work. The devices were fabricated by evaporating metal contacts on SiO2 layer thermally grown on silicon substrate. The separation between the electrodes was 90 μm for all sensors. The sensors were tested from 40% to 90% relative humidity （RH） by AC electrical characterization at room temperature. When sensors are switched between 40% and 90% RH, the corresponding response and recovery time are 3 s and 5 s for Ti-electrode sensor, 4 s and 7 s for Ni-electrode sensor, and 7 s and 13 s for Au-electrode sensor. The hysteresis was 3%, 5% and 15% for sensitivity of Ti, Ni, and Au-electrode sensors are Ti-, Ni-, and Au-electrode sensor, respectively. The 7.53 mΩ/%RH, 5.29 mΩ/%RH and 4.01 mΩ/%RH respectively at 100 Hz. Therefore Ti-electrode sensor is found to have linear response, fast response and recovery time and higher sensitivity as compared with those of Ni- and Au-electrode sensors. Comparison of humidity sensing properties of sensors with different electrode material may propose a compelling route for designing and optimizing humidity sensors.

Extraction and characterization of alumina nanopowders from aluminum dross by acid dissolution process

A significant amount of aluminum dross is available as a waste in foundry industries in Bangladesh. In this study, alumina was ex- tracted from aluminum dross collected from two foundry industries situated in Dhamrai and manikgang, near the capital city, Dhaka. Alu- minum dross samples were found to approximately contain 75wt% A1203 and 12wt% SIO2. An acid dissolution process was used to recover the alumina value from the dross. The effects of various parameters, e.g., temperature, acid concentration, and leaching time, on the extrac- tion of alumina were studied to optimize the dissolution process. First, AI（OH）3 was produced in the form of a gel. Calcination of the AI（OH）3 gel at 1000℃, 1200℃, and 1400℃ for 2 h produced O-AlcOa, （t~＋O）-A1203, and u-alumina powder, respectively. Thermal charac- terization of the AI（OH）3 gel was performed by thermogravimetric/differential thermal analysis （TG/DTA） and differential scanning calo- rimetry （DSC）. The phases and crystallite size of the alumina were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The dimensions of the alumina were found to be on the nano level. The chemical compositions of the aluminum dross and alumina were determined by X-ray fluorescence （XRF） spectroscopy. The microstructure and morphology of the alumina were studied with scanning electron microscopy. The purity of the alumina extracted in this study was found to be 99.0%. Thus, it is expected that the obtained alumina powders can be potentially utilized as biomaterials.

Information Security is determined by three well know security parameters i.e. Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability. Availability is an important pillar when it comes to security of an information system. It is dependent upon the reliability, timeliness and accessibility of the Information System. This paper presents an analytical view of the fact that when Accessibility is degraded during the presence of an ongoing attack, the other factors reliability and timeliness can also get affected, therefore creating a degrading impact on the overall Availability of the system, which eventually leads to the Denial of Service Attack and therefore affecting the security of the System.
