FPGA-based position reconstruction method for neutron beam flux spatial distribution measurement in BNCT

A new measurement method for the spatial distribution of neutron beam flux in boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT)is being developed based on the two-dimensional micromegas *** address the issue of long processing times in traditional offline position reconstruction methods,this paper proposes a field programmable gate array based online position reconstruction method utilizing the micro-time projection chamber *** method encapsulates key technical aspects:a self-adaptive serial link technique built upon the dynamical adjustment of the delay chain length,fast sorting,a coordinate-matching technique based on the mapping between signal timestamps and random access memory(RAm)addresses,and a precise start point-merging technique utilizing a circular com.ined *** performance test of the selfadaptive serial link shows that the bit error rate of the link is better than 10-12 at a confidence level of 99%,ensuring reliable data *** experiment utilizing the readout electronics and micromegas detector shows a spatial resolution of approximately 1.4 mm,surpassing the current method’s resolution level of 5 *** beam experiment confirms that the readout electronics system can obtain the flux spatial distribution of neutron beams online,thus validating the feasibility of the position reconstruction *** online position reconstruction method avoids traditional methods,such as bubble sorting and traversal searching,simplifies the design of the logic firmware,and reduces the time complexity from O(n2)to O(n).This study contributes to the advancement in measuring neutron beam flux for BNCT.

The anodic electrooxidation of ethanol to value-added acetate is an excellent example of replacing the oxygen evolution reaction to promote the cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction and save ***,we present a colloidal strategy to produce Ni-Fe bimetallic alloy nanoparticles(NPs)as efficient electrocatalysts for the electrooxidation of ethanol in alkaline ***-Fe alloy NPs deliver a current density of 100 mA·cm^(-2) in a 1.0 m KOH solution containing 1.0 m ethanol merely at 1.5 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE),well above the performance of other electrocatalysts in a similar *** continuous 10 h testing at this external potential,this electrode is able to produce an average of 0.49 mmol·cm^(-2)·h^(-1) of acetate with an ethanol-to-acetate Faradaic efficiency of 80%.A series of spectroscopy techniques are used to probe the electrocatalytic process and analyze the ***,density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrate that the iron in the alloy NPs significantly enhances the electroconductivity and electron transfer,shifts the rate-limiting step,and lowers the energy barrier during the ethanol-to-acetate reaction pathway.

Alkyl chain modulation of asymmetric hexacyclic fused acceptor synergistically with wide bandgap third component for high efficiency ternary organic solar cells

Herein,two asymmetric hexacyclic fused small molecule acceptors(SmAs),namely BP4F-HU and BP4F-UU,were *** elongated outside chains in the BP4F-UU molecule played a crucial role in optimizing the morphology of blend film,thereby improving charge mobility and reducing energy loss within the corresponding ***,the Pm6:BP4F-UU device exhibited a higher open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))of 0.878 V compared to the Pm6:BP4F-HU device with a V_(oc)of 0.863 ***,a new wide bandgap SmA named BTP-TA was designed and synthesized as the third component to the Pm6:BP4F-UU host binary devices,which showed an ideal complementary absorption spectrum.in Pm6:BP4F-UU *** addition,BTP-TA can achieve efficient intermolecular energy transfer to BP4F-UU by fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)pathway,due to the good overlap between the photoluminescence(PL)spectrum of BTP-TA and the absorption region of ***,ternary devices with 15wt%BTP-TA exhibits broader photon utilization,optimal blend morphology,and reduced charge recom.ination compared to the corresponding binary ***,Pm6:BP4F-UU:BTP-TA ternary device achieved an optimal power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 17.83%with simultaneously increased V_(oc)of 0.905 V,short-circuit current density(J_(sc))of 26.14 mA/cm^(2),and fill factor(FF)of 75.38%.

Simulation of the Ecosystem Productivity Responses to Aerosol Diffuse Radiation Fertilization Effects over the Pan-Arctic during 2001–19

The pan-Arctic is confronted with air pollution transported from lower *** have shown that aerosols help increase plant photosynthesis through the diffuse radiation fertilization effects(DRFEs).While such DRFEs have been explored at low to middle latitudes,the aerosol impacts on pan-Arctic ecosystems and the contributions by anthropogenic and natural emission sources rem.in less ***,we perform regional simulations at 0.2o×0.2ousing a well-validated vegetation model(Yale interactive terrestrial Biosphere,YiBs)in com.ination with multi-source of observations to quantify the impacts of aerosol DRFEs on the net primary productivity(NPP)in the pan-Arctic during *** show that aerosol DRFEs increase pan-Arctic NPP by 2.19 Pg C(12.8%)yr^(-1)under clear-sky conditions,in which natural and anthropogenic sources contribute to 8.9% and 3.9%,*** all-sky conditions,such DRFEs are largely dampened by cloud to only 0.26 Pg C(1.24%)yr^(-1),with contributions of 0.65% by natural and 0.59% by anthropogenic *** aerosols cause a positive NPP trend of 0.022% yr^(-1)following the increased fire activities in the *** contrast,anthropogenic aerosols induce a negative trend of-0.01% yr^(-1)due to reduced emissions from the middle *** trends in aerosol DRFEs show a turning point in the year of 2007 with more positive NPP trends by natural aerosols but negative NPP trends by anthropogenic aerosols *** affected by modeling uncertainties,this study suggests a likely increasing impact of aerosols on terrestrial ecosystems in the pan-Arctic under global warming.

isocyanide-Based One-Pot Cascade Synthesis of 3-Acyl isoindolinones

A series of 3-acyl-substituted isoindolinone derivatives were synthesized in a one-pot manner via the reaction of o-bromobenzaldehydes,isocyanides,and carboxylic acids in the presence of palladium catalyst and base. The reaction employing easily available starting materials features simple operation and high efficiency. The mechanistic study showed that the reaction might undergo 1) Pd-catalyzed [3+2] cyclization of o-bromobenzaldehyde with isocyanide and the re-insertion of another molecule of isocyanide,2) addition of carboxylic acid to in situ formed ketenimine followed by a rearrangement relay to give 3,3-diacyl-substituted isoindolinone derivative. Further transformations of the obtained products through decarbonylation could also be realized.
