Spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in me mory and high frequency *** the improvement of these modern devices,the magnetic coercivity,permeability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the important *** article focuses on improving the magnetic coercivity,magnetic permeability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTiR),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm),energy dispersive X-ray(EDX),vibrating sample magnetometer(VSm),and an impedance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,magnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRD patterns indicate the formation of spinel cubic structure of the samples with a secondary peak(EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities and porosities of the samples follow an inverse trend,where the doped samples’lattice parameters are increased with the increment of rare earth Eu *** FTiR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FESEm.images,and it is increased from 121 to 198 *** analysis confirms that doping of the Eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped samples is greater than that of the mother alloy(x=0.00).The EDX study shows that there is no impurity contamination in the *** permeability and dielectric measurements show an improved quality factor of the Eu-doped samples with low magnetic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and impedance analysis also show the improved *** the observed properties of the samples,all the investigated ferrites might be strong candidates for potential applications in memory devices,magnetic sensors,and high frequency applications.

in mg-Ca alloys the grain refining mechanism.in particular regarding the role of nucleant substrates,rem.ins the object of *** native mgO is being recognised as a nucleating substrate accounting for grain refinement of mg alloys,the possible interactions of mgO with alloying elements that may alter the nucleation potency have not been elucidated ***,we design casting experiments of mg-xCa alloys varied qualitatively in number density of native mgO,which are then comprehensively studied by advanced electron *** results show that grain refinement is enhanced as the particle number density of mgO *** native mgO particles are modified by interfacial layers due to the co-segregation of Ca and N solute atoms at the mgO/mg *** aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy,we reveal the nature of these Ca/N interfacial layers at the atomic *** of the crystallographic termination of mgO,Ca and N co-segregate at the mgO/mg interface and occupy mg and O sites,respectively,forming an interfacial structure of a few atomic *** interfacial structure is slightly expanded,less ordered and defective compared to the mgO matrix due to compositional deviations,whereby the mgO substrate is altered as a poorer template to nucleate mg *** solidification in a TP-1 mould,the impotent mgO particles account for the grain refining mechanism,where they are suggested to participate into nucleation and grain initiation processes in an explosive *** work not only reveals the atomic engineering of a substrate through interfacial segregation but also demonstrates the effectiveness of a strategy whereby native mgO particles can be harnessed for grain refinement in mg-Ca alloys.

Recently,the emerging 2μm waveband has gained increasing interest due to its great potential for a wide scope of *** with the existing optical communication windows at shorter wavelengths,it also offers distinct advantages of lower nonlinear absorption,better fabrication tolerance,and larger free carrier plasma effects for silicon photonics,which has been a proven device *** much progress has been witnessed for silicon photonics at the 2μm waveband,the primary challenge still exists for on-chip *** the maturity and compatibility of the waveguide coupled photodetectors made of germanium,the 2μm regime is far beyond its cutoff *** this work,we demonstrate an efficient and high-speed on-chip waveguidecoupled germanium photodetector operating at the 2μm *** weak sub-bandgap absorption of epitaxial germanium.is greatly enhanced by a lateral separation absorption charge multiplication *** detector is fabricated by the standard process offered by a commercial *** device has a benchmark performance with responsivity of 1.05 A/W and 3 dB bandwidth of 7.12 GHz,which is able to receive high-speed signals with up to 20 Gbit/s data *** availability of such an efficient and fast on-chip detector circumvents the barriers between silicon photonic integrated circuits and the potential applications at the 2μm waveband.

Holographic optical elements(HOEs)based on polymer composites have become a research hot spot in recent years for augmented reality(AR)due to the significant improvement of optical performance,dynamic range,ease of processing and high yield ***,it rem.ins a formidable challenge to obtain a large field of view(FOV)and brightness due to the limited refractive index ***,we report an effective method to tackle the challenge by doping an epoxy liquid crystal termed E6m,which enables a large refractive index modulation of 0.050@633 nm and low haze of 5.0%at a doping concentration of 5 wt%.This achievement may be ascribed to the improved molecular ordering of liquid crystals within the holographic polymer *** high refractive index modulation can endow transmission-type holographic polymer composites with a high diffraction efficiency of 96.2%at a small thickness of 5μm,which would promise the design of thin and lightweight AR devices.

Solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLmBs)show great promise in terms of high-energy-density and high-safety ***,there is an urgent need to address the compatibility of electrolytes with high-voltage cathodes/Li anodes,and to minimize the electrolyte thickness to achieve highenergy-density of ***,we develop an ultrathin(12.6μm)asymmetric composite solid-state electrolyte with ultralight areal density(1.69 mg cm^(−2))for *** electrolyte com.ining a garnet(LLZO)layer and a metal organic framework(mOF)layer,which are fabricated on both sides of the polyethylene(PE)separator separately by tape *** PE separator endows the electrolyte with flexibility and excellent mechanical *** LLZO layer on the cathode side ensures high chemical stability at high *** mOF layer on the anode side achieves a stable electric field and uniform Li flux,thus promoting uniform Li^(+)*** to the well-designed structure,the Li symmetric battery exhibits an ultralong cycle life(5000 h),and high-voltage SSLmBs achieve stable cycle *** assembled pouch cells provided a gravimetric/volume energy density of 344.0 Wh kg^(−1)/773.1 Wh L^(−1).This simple operation allows for large-scale preparation,and the design concept of ultrathin asymmetric structure also reveals the future development direction of SSLmBs.

Food allergy is a significant public health concern *** probiotics have been found to enhance food allergy by regulating immune-microbe interactions in animal models and ***,the effects of Bifidobacterium lactis Probio-m8 on food allergy have not been thoroughly *** present study examined the anti-allergic properties of Probio-m8,particularly in relation to immune response and gut microbiota *** demonstrate that oral administration of Probio-m8 effectively mitigated the allergy symptoms triggered by ovalbumin(OVA)by ameliorating the morphological damage in the jejunum,reducing OVA-specific igE and histamine levels in the serum,and suppressing Th2 cytokines(interleukin(iL)4 and iL-13)while increasing Th1 cytokines(interferon(iFN)γ)and regulatory T(Treg)cytokines(iL-10 and transforming growth factor(TGF)β1)in the culture supernatants of splenic ***,Probio-m8 effectively altered the diversity and composition of gut microbiota,particularly the relative abundances of Akkermansia_muciniphila in OVA-induced *** to the OVA group,the Probio-m8 group showed a decrease in the relative abundance of Akkermansia_*** conclusion,Probio-m8 demonstrates the potential to alleviate food allergy by regulating the Th1/Th2 response and modulating gut microbiota,thereby offering a novel therapeutic strategy for patients with food allergy.

in this study,a class of rare earth composite sandwich phthalocyanines(mPcs,m=La,Y,Yb,Sc) were prepared and compounded with graphene and carbon nanotubes to obtain mPc/Gr and mPc/CNTs *** electrocatalytic behaviors of mPc/Gr and mPc/CNTs electrodes were further *** results show that the central rare earth metal has a large influence on the electrocatalytic *** the mPcs/Gr samples,ScPc with the smallest ionic radius and molecular size can be more uniformly dispersed in graphene,and the hydrogen precipitation overpotential of ScPc/Gr electrode is514 mV,corresponding to a Tafel slope of 148 mV/dec,with better electrocatalytic performance than other rare earth metal *** for the mPc/CNTs composites,LaPc,which has the largest ionic radius and molecular size,is more uniformly dispersed on the surface of CNTs,so that the LaPc/CNT electrode exhibits the best LSV performance with the smallest corresponding Tafel slope(176 mV/dec).The m.in reason is the different binding modes of mPcs molecules in Gr and *** rare earth phthalocyanine is com.ined with layered graphene,the smallest size of rare earth phthalocyanine(ScPc)is more easily embedded in the graphene layer,resulting in better homogeneity of the composite,larger effective contact area and better electrocatalytic *** contrast,when rare earth phthalocyanine is bound to carbon nanotubes in a tubular structure,it is m.inly bound by attaching to the surface or being entangled by the carbon *** this case,the rare-earth phthalocyanine molecules(LaPc)with larger layer spacing can provide more contact area with CNTs,forming a more uniform and effective composite,which eventually provides more active sites and better electrocatalytic performance.
