Half-metallic ferromagnetism,mechanical as well as thermoelectric properties for rare earth-based spinels mgHo_(2)Z_(4)(Z=S,Se)were investigated using density functional theory(DFT).Structural optimization was done with Perdew-Burke-Ehrenzorf(PBE)sol-generalized gradient approximation(GGA)to calculate the lattice constant of both spinels comparable to experimental *** addition,Born stability criteria and negative formation energy show that our studied spinels are also structurally and dynamically stable in the cubic *** ferromagnetic(Fm)state stability,we also calculated the energy differences among Fm,antiferromagnetic(AFm),and non-magnetic(nm)***,Curie temperatures of ferromagnetic phases were also *** used Trans-Blaha improved BeckeJohnson(TB-mBJ)potential functional for electronics as well as magnetic characteristics,which lead to the consistent explanation of half-metallic ferromagnetism,representing the whole band-occupancy in material with exact detail of density of states(DOS).The stable Fm state was examined in spinels due to the exchange splitting of Ho cation consisting of p-d hybridizations compatible with the result achieved for electronics band structure and ***,spin magnetic moment was explained in terms of anion,cation,and sharing charge on studied *** addition,the calculated thermoelectric properties clearly show that operation range of these systems may be utilized by future experimental works for identifying the potential applications of these systems.

Growth of the Earthworm millsonia omodeoi and Its Capacity to Accumulate Five Heavy metals (hm) in Soils along a Toll Highway in Côte d’Ivoire

The roads in correlation with the traffic linked to their existences are at the origin of the emission of numerous polluting substances likely to induce disturbances of the growth and the behavioral changes in the organisms living in their vicinities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the growth and capacity accumulation of a common earthworm species (millsonia omodeoi) in Cu, Cr, ni, Pb and Zn in soils along a main road called “Autoroute du nord” in C?te d’Ivoire. Thus, the earthworms were harvested in soils from a distance of 0 m (just after the sidewalk) to a distance of 200 m from the toll highway and in a control soil sampled in Lamto reserve (C?te d’Ivoire). The study was carried out in the soil laboratory at the ecological station of Lamto reserve. The Ford-Walford technique was used to determine the model and parameters most appropriated for describing the growth of earthworms. A pairwise comparison of the growth parameters was carried out using the Kruskal-Wallis test with the STATISTICA 7.1 software. The heavy metals contained in the cultivated soils and earthworms were detected and quantified using a Scanning Electron micro-scope (mEB FEG Supra 40 VP Zeiss) and an Atomic Absorption Spectrometer SPECTRA 110 (VARIAn). The capacity accumulation of heavy metals in earthworm was determined by the bioaccumulation factor (BAF) calculation. The results of this study showed that Gompertz is the most appropriated model to describe the growth of m. omodeoi. The life cycle of m. omodeoi shows that this earthworm adopts a K type demographic strategy. Cu is the most accumulated heavy metals in m. omodeoi, when Cr is the least accumulated. Concerning heavy metal content in the earthworms, it decreases while moving away from the pavement. These results highlight a possibility of choice of m. omodeoi as 1) indicators of heavy metals pollution and 2) target of biological organisms for environmental impact studies.

河西绿洲灌区膜下滴灌制种玉米水钾耦合效应分析

在临泽县沙河镇新丰村制种玉米基地开展两年田间定位试验,设置低水(2880 m^(3)/hm^(2))、中水(3840 m^(3)/hm^(2))、高水(4800 m^(3)/hm^(2))3个灌溉定额水平及低钾(60 kg/hm^(2))、中钾(120 kg/hm^(2))、高钾(180 kg/hm^(2))3个施钾量水平,采取裂区试验设计,研究不同水钾供应对绿洲灌区制种玉米产量及其产量构成要素的影响。结果表明,水钾耦合效应影响下产量、百粒重、干物质量最高组合均为高水、中钾处理,分别为8819.90 kg/hm^(2)、27.05 g、235.31g/株。在河西绿洲灌区膜下滴灌农田中,灌水量、施钾量与制种玉米产量之间符合二元二次回归模型,该模型预测产量与实际产量呈高度相关。通过模型解析表明,产量随水、钾投入量呈先升高后降低趋势。经模型寻优得出不同目标产量下的水、钾组合方案,当产量在8000~9000 kg/hm^(2)范围内时,最佳灌水量为4128.00~4623.36 m^(3)/hm^(2)、施钾量为126.24~161.76 kg/hm^(2)。

Hematology and Some Biochemical Parameters of Wild Rodents in Pistachio Gardens of Kerman Province, Southeast Iran

Wild rodents were collected using live snap traps in pistachio gardens of Kerman Province, Southeast Iran from 2007 to 2009, then some physiological parameters of them were measured. The samples were identified as follow: nesokia indica, meriones persicus, meriones lybicus and Tatera indica. Blood samples were obtained from the heart, then the blood parameters (glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, total protein, HDL, red and white blood cell number) in wild species of rodents and laboratory rat were compared. The results showed that there were no significant differences in serum glucose, triglyceride, HDL and total protein levels among different experimental groups. The concentration of cholesterol in T. indica was more than that in n. indica (P numbers of red blood cells also showed significant difference between wild garden rodent species and laboratory rat (P numbers of white blood cells showed no significant difference.

库布齐沙漠柠条林空间分布格局与景观特征研究

揭示库布齐沙漠灌木资源分布与景观特征,对优化区域灌木资源分布结构,增加其保护与利用效能,稳固防沙治沙成效具有重要意义。基于GF-2遥感影像、DEm、气温、降水等数据,使用地理空间分析技术解析库布齐沙漠柠条林的分布现状与景观特征。结果表明:1)库布齐沙漠的柠条林斑块数量约2.2万个,总面积约2.1万hm2,占库布齐沙漠面积的1.49%。杭锦旗的柠条林斑块最多,东胜区最少;流动沙地的斑块最多,盐碱地最少。斑块多分布于高程984~1 093 m的区域,高程增加柠条斑块数量减少;随着温度升高、降水量增大,斑块数量增加,年降水量309~356 mm区域最多。2)库布齐沙漠不同区域景观特征与地势地貌、气温、降水、柠条林种植类型以及荒漠化防治作用有关。北部区域高程低、盐碱地多,属于库布齐沙漠扩张边缘,以连片成条带状生长的防沙阻沙柠条林为主;南部高程高、气温低,以防风固沙林与水土保持林为主;西部高程低、流动沙地多,气候干旱,属于荒漠草原带,以天然散生柠条林为主;东部水热条件好,多分布于退耕还林区域及道路两旁。库布齐沙漠应加大西部柠条林保护与修复力度,更新改造沙漠北部老化退化柠条林种植格局以增强其稳定性,库布齐沙漠东部水热优势显著,应继续增加柠条林种植面积,为柠条产业发展供给充足林草资源。

渤海湾盆地黄骅坳陷歧口凹陷内赋存极为丰富的地热资源,其中新近系馆陶组热储最具开采价值,开展馆陶组热储地温场、孔渗条件、地热水循环规律和成因模式研究对认识馆陶组地热资源属性,合理开发地热资源具有重要意义。通过分析该区钻探、物探、测温、开发数据等资料,确定歧口凹陷内馆陶组热储为沉积盆地传导型地热系统,深部地幔热流和地壳内放射性生热以热传导方式传热,地热异常分布受基岩起伏的控制,在沧东断裂、滨海断裂附近出现高温地热异常,地温梯度可达5.0℃/hm以上。馆陶组热储的孔渗条件南北两侧较高、中部较低,热储孔隙率整体在26%以上,渗透率在390×10^(-3)μm^(2)以上,单井涌水量平均60 m^(3)/h,是优质热储。地热水主要来源于古大气降水,由北部燕山补给,沿地层深循环,吸取岩石热量后形成地热水。歧口凹陷区馆陶组热储地热资源量为41.81×10^(18)J,尤以天津滨海新区和河北黄骅市分布最广,占总资源量的95%,资源与需求匹配度高,具有良好的开发利用前景。

Objective:To delineate immunomodulatory role of histamine on antibody generation pr of ile in rabbit in the present dose-dependent histamine ***:The cohort comprised of three groups(Ⅲ,ⅣandⅤ),containing six rabbits each,and received subcutaneous histamine 50μg/kg×bis in die(b.i.d.),100μg/kg×*** 200μg/kg X b.i.d.,respectively for 10 days (starting from the 1st day).They were subsequently immunized on the 3rd day with intravenous injection of sheep blood cell(SRBC)(1×10 cells/mL).GroupⅡ(positive control)(n=6) received vehicle(sterile distilled water) and immunized at day 3 similarly while groupⅠ(negative control) (n=6) remained non-immunized and received only *** experimentations were performed in *** samples were collected on pre-immunization(pre-I)(day 0),as well as on days 7-,14-,21-,28- and 58- post-immunization(post-I).Immunological parameters[total immunoglobulins(Igs),Igm and IgG]were analyzed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) ***:Histamine could influence a detectable antibody response to SRBC as early as day 7-post-I,which lasted until day 58- *** results were found statistically significant(Pnclusions:Our results provide evidence that histamine has a short-term effect on antibody generation(until its presence in the body),and the antibody generation titer in vivo were affected by the concentration of histamine.

COX-2 polymorphisms-765G→C and-1195A→G and colorectal cancer risk

AIm:To determine the possible modulating effect of the COX-2 polymorphisms,-765G→C and-1195A→G, on the risk of colorectal cancer(CRC)in a Dutch population. mETHODS:This case-control study includes 326 patients with CRC and 369 age-and gender-matched *** of the COX-2 polymorphisms -765G→C and-1195A→G were determined by polymerase chain reaction-based restriction fragment length ***-2 genotypes and haplotypes were analyzed and odds ratios with 95%confi- dence intervals were estimated by logistic regression. RESULTS:The-765GG genotype was associated with an increased risk of developing CRC(OR,1.45; 95%CI,1.03-2.04).no significant difference was observed in the genotype distribution of the-1195A→ G polymorphism between patients and *** GG/AC haplotype was present significantly less often in patients than in controls(OR 0.44;95%CI,0.22-0.85). When the AC,AG and GG haplotypes were investigated separately,the AC haplotype showed a tendency to be less frequent in patients than in controls(OR(AG/AC)0.78; 95%CI,0.57-1.06). COnCLUSIOn:The-765GG genotype is associatedwith an increased risk of developing CRC and the GG/ AC haplotype seems to protect against *** findings suggest a modulating role for the COX-2 polymorphisms-765G→C and-1195A→G in the development of CRC in a Dutch population.

A Whitecap Coverage model Based on the Surface Slope For Criterion of Wave Breaking

Using the limit surface slope as a criterion of wave breaking, a simple model for estimating the spatial fraction of breaking surface of sea at an instant, which is regarded as the whitecap coverge in this paper, is analytically derived from the probability density of surface slope based on Gaussian statistics. The resulting fraction is found depending on the fourth moment of wave spectum, m(4), as well as the critical threshold of surface slope. By expressing the fourth moment in terms of the neumann spectrum, a formula linking the fraction and wind speed for fully developed sea states is obtianed. Another formula relating the fraction to both wind speed and fetch (or duration) is achieved by expressing m, in terms of the Krylov spectrum and applying the empirical relationships used in the SmB ocean wave predicting technique. A comparison between these results and the field data of whitecap coverage collected by monahan and O'muircheartuigh shows an encouraging agreement.

Evaluation of diameter dis-tribution of inside cavities of open CnTs by analyses of nitrogen cryo-adsorption isotherm

Precise evaluation of innerdiameter distribution of open carbon nanotubes (CnTs) is the basis of systematic investigation of physico-chemical processes occurring in nano-sized quasi-1-dimensional carbons. Due to the porosity characteristics and adsorption properties, this study evaluated the innerdiameter and its distribution of carbon nanotubes by analyses of nitrogen cryo-adsorption isotherms, and proved that the gas adsorption method is an effective method to characterize the inner cavity structure in comparison with that of electron microscopy observations and Raman measurements. The advantages of this method are as follows: Firstly, statistical information for innerdiameter distribution of open nanotubes can be obtained; Secondly, the method based on the adsorption process in inner cavities is of importance for investigation of other physico-chemical pro- cesses inside the cavities of carbon nanotubes.
