ma.nesium a.d a.uminum a.loys continua.ly a.tra.t interest a. lightweight structura. ma.eria.s for tra.sport a.plica.ions. However, joining these dissimila. a.loys is very cha.lenging. The ma.n obsta.le tha. hinders progress in dissimila. mg-a. joining is the forma.ion of brittle intermeta.lic compounds(ImCs). a. a.solid-sta.e joining technique, FSW is a. excellent ca.dida.e to a.tenua.e the deleterious ImC effects in dissimila. a.-mg joining due to the inherent low hea. inputs involved in the process. However, the ImCs, na.ely a._(3)mg_(2) a.d a._(12)mg_(17) pha.es, ha.e a.so been reported to form during a.-mg dissimila. FSW;their a.ount a.d thickness depend on the hea. input involved;thus,the weld pa.a.eters used. Since the hea. dissipa.ed in the ma.eria. during the welding process significa.tly a.fects the a.ount of ImCs,the hea. input during FSW should be kept a. low a. possible to control a.d reduce the a.ount of ImCs. This review a.ms to critica.ly discuss a.d eva.ua.e the studies conducted in the dissimila. a./mg FSW through a.scientometric a.a.ysis a.d a.so with a.focus on the stra.egies recently a.plied to enha.ce joint qua.ity. The scientometric a.a.ysis showed tha. the ma.n resea.ch directions in mg/a. FSW a.e the technologica. welda.ility of a.uminum a.d ma.nesium during FSW, structura. morphology, a.d mecha.ica. properties of dissimila. welded joints. Considering the scope of a.plica.ion of the a.orementioned joints, the low sha.e of a.ticles dea.ing with environmenta. degra.a.ion a.d opera.iona. cra.king is surprising. This might be a.tributed to the need for well-developed stra.egies for obta.ning high-qua.ity a.d susta.na.le joints for a.plica.ions. Ra.e meta. minera.iza.ion of Sn, Nb-Ta.a.d W is encountered in the Gebel Dihmit a.ea.(gda), south- ea.tern a.wa., Egypt. The minera.iza.ion is rela.ed to muscovite gra.ites a.d their pegma.ite deriva.ives. The peg- ma.ites a.e divided into three types a.cording to their ma.n minera. a.sembla.es: K-feldspa.-muscovite-tourma.ine, K-feldspa.-a.bite-muscovite a.d a.bite-K-feldspa.-lepidolite veins. Petrogenetic studies indica.e tha. Sn a.d Nb-Ta.minera.iza.ion extends from the la.e-ma.ma.ic sta.e to the pegma.ite a.d hydrotherma. sta.es of the (gda) suite. The a.bite-K-feldspa.-lepidolite gra.ite is composed domina.tly of a.bite, lepidolote, a.d qua.tz, with topa., K-feldspa. a.d a.blygonite. The a.cessory minera.s a.e zircon, mona.ite, pollucite, columbite-ta.ta.ite, microlite a.d Ta.rich ca.siterite. Phenocrysts of qua.tz, topa. a.d K-feldspa. conta.n a.unda.t inclusions of a.bite la.hs a.d occa.iona. lepidolite crysta.s a.ong growth zones (snowba.l texture), indica.ing simulta.eous crysta.liza.ion from a.subsolvus, residua. ma.ma. The origin of the pegma.ites is a.tributed to extreme differentia.ion by fra.tiona. crysta.- liza.ion of a.gra.itic ma.ma. The economic potentia. for ra.e meta.s wa. eva.ua.ed in the geochemica. discrimina.ion dia.ra.s. a.cordingly, some of the pegma.ites a.e not only highly differentia.ed in terms of a.ka.is, but a.so the promising ta.gets for sma.l-sca.e Ta.a.d, to a.less extent, Sn. The pegma.ites a.so provide the first exa.ple of Fe-mn a.d Nb-Ta.fra.tiona.ion in successive genera.ions of gra.ites to ca.siterite-bea.ing pegma.ites, which perfectly ex- hibit simila. fra.tiona.ion trends esta.lished for prima.y columbite-ta.ta.ite in the corresponding ca.egories of peg- ma.ites. Concept of a.swirling diffuser in ba.ch blending ta.ks

The mixing of two or more components belongs to the ca.egory of the most common unit opera.ions, both in technology a.d in na.ure. One pa.ticula. version is homogeniza.ion(blending), the effectivity of which is strongly rela.ed to the blending time. a.ong ma.y differentia.ed individua. solutions of mixing systems used in blenders, one should distinguish the cla.s of a.ita.ors with diffusers. a. a.a.ysis of the cha.a.ter of the velocity field during a.blending cha.ber opera.ion lea.s to the conclusion tha. it would be of a.a.l to outfit a.stra.ght diffuser with different setups of elbows. In consequence, the vertica. direction of the inflowing fluid strea. would be cha.ged into the horizonta. direction of the outflowing strea., which should intensify the blending process. The concept ha. been verified experimenta.ly, ma.ing use of the tra.er methodology. The obta.ned results confirmed the theoretica. conclusion tha. the blending time for the swirling-diffuser wa. shorter tha. for the cla.sica. stra.ght one.

High pressure luminescence studies of europium doped Ga.

We reported on the high pressure luminescence spectra.of polycrysta.line Eu-doped Ga. ma.eria. synthesized in the rea.tion between a.loys of ga.lium, bismuth a.d europium in a.monia.a.mosphere. The integra.ed luminescence intensity of the domina.t Eu3＋ ion tra.sition （5D0→^7F2） a. 622 nm increa.ed a.proxima.ely one order of rna.nitude wherea. its spectra. position a.d line width did not cha.ge significa.tly between a.bient a.d 6.8 GPa.pressure, respectively. moreover, ma.eria. wa. cha.a.terized with photo- a.d ca.hodo-luminescence, a.d photoluminescence excita.ion spectra.a. different tempera.ures. It wa. found tha. the Eu3＋ ions occupying substitutiona. Ga.site crea.ed different centers which could be effectively excited with a.ove ba.d ga. excita.ion a.d from excitons resona.tly photoexcited a. the I2 bound exciton energy. Furthermore, the less efficient Eu3＋ ions excita.ion pa.h existed through intrinsic impurities a.d defeels genera.ing sha.low energy levels in the forbidden ga.. It wa. proposed tha. reduction of the therma. quenching a.d consequent enha.cement of Eu3＋ ion emission intensity resulted from stronger loca.iza.ion of bound exciton on RESI tra. induced by a.plied pressure.
