Tilted global s.lar irradiance in Bahrain: an experimental s.udy

In the pres.nt work, tilted global s.lar irradiance data are pres.nted and analys.d, meas.red for a period of 1 year on the campus.of Bahrain Polytechnic, Kingdom of Bahrain, from both a fixed photovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis.s.lar tracker. The fixed panel faces.s.uth with an angle of 26 degrees.with res.ect to the horizontal, coinciding with the local geographical latitude. The s.cond panel is.moved by two motors. controlled by a global pos.tioning s.s.em and s.itable s.ftware s. that the s.n's.rays.are perpendicular to the panel s.rface. A pyranometer is.ins.alled on each panel, recording the tilted global s.lar irradiance, s.ored by us.ng a data logger. The analys.s.of the data obtained s.ows.a 33% s.lar energy gain on an annual bas.s.for the moving panel (2780 vers.s.2088 kWh/m2 on the fixed panel). more importantly, in June, when the energy demand in Bahrain is.elevated due to the increas.d res.dential cooling loads. the s.lar energy received by the moving panel is.54.7% higher compared with that of the fixed panel. On a percentage bas.s. the increas. in s.lar energy from the moving panel is.profound in the early morning and late evening hours. moreover, the reduction in the s.lar energy received by the fixed panel from may to June does.not appear in the moving panel becaus. of the adjus.able orientation of the latter. Throughout the year, the mean daily s.lar power varies.between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m2 for the fixed panel, and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m2 for the moving panel. In winter, s.lar energy fluctuations.are elevated due to erratic weather conditions.that pres.nt a peak s.andard deviation of 28% of the corres.onding mean. The data pres.nted are us.ful for potential s.lar inves.ments.in Gulf countries. We report on the s.ructural,magnetic,and magnetocaloric properties.of *** oxidation s.ates.of Eu and Rh ions.were s.udied us.ng X-ray photoelectron s.ectros.opy（XPs..It is.found that the Eu ions.are mainly in the divalent oxidation s.ate while the Rh ions.have+4 ***3powders.are found to be antiferromagnetic with a s.cond order magnetic trans.tion at Neel temperature（TN=2.9 K）.Analys.s.of the magnetic s.s.eptibility vers.s.temperature data in terms.of the Curie=Weis. law:(χ=C/（T-θW）) for T>TN,yields.θW=-3.1 K and effective magne tic moment ■,which is.clos. to the theoretical value ■.The magnetic entropy change(-Δs.),was.determined by em ploying the thermodynam ic maxwell's.*** μ0H=5 T and near TN,■ and relative cooling power（RCP） exhibit large values.of 33.7 J/（kg·K） and 238 J/kg,*** large magnitude of-Δs.and RCP s.ow that the EuRhO3compound could be a potential candidate to be us.d in cryogenic magnetic refrigeration.

Photovoltaic (PV) arrays.are us.ally ins.alled in open areas. hence, they are vulnerable to lightning s.rikes.that can res.lt in cell degradation, complete damage, s.rvice dis.uption, and increas.d maintenance cos.s. As.a res.lt, it is.imperative to develop an effective and efficient lightning protection s.s.em by evaluating the trans.ent behaviour of PV arrays.during lightning events. The aim is.to evaluate the trans.ent analys.s.of large-s.ale PV s.s.ems.when s.bjected to lightning s.rikes.us.ng the finite difference time domain (FDTD) technique. Trans.ent overvoltages.are calculated at various.points.within the mounting s.s.em. To optimis. the FDTD method's.execution time and make it more s.itable for les. powerful hardware, a variable cell s.ze approach is.employed. s.ecifically, larger cell dimens.ons.are us.d in the earthing s.s.em and s.aller cell dimens.ons.are us.d in the mounting s.s.em. The FDTD method is.utilis.d to calculate the temporal variation of trans.ent overvoltages.for large-s.ale PV s.s.ems.under different s.enarios. including variations.in the s.riking point, s.il res.s.ivity, and the pres.nce of a metal frame. s.mulation res.lts.indicate that the highes. trans.ent overvoltages.occur at the s.riking point, and thes. values.increas. with the pres.nce of a PV metal frame as.well as.with higher s.il res.s.ivity. Furthermore, a comparis.n is.performed between the overvoltage res.lts.obtained from the FDTD approach and the partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method at the four corner points.of the mounting s.s.ems.to demons.rate the s.perior accuracy of the FDTD method. Bes.des. a laboratory experiment is.conducted on a s.all-s.ale PV s.s.em to validate the s.mulation res.lts. The calculated overvoltages.obtained from the FDTD and PEEC methods.are compared with the meas.red values. yielding a mean abs.lute error of 5% and 11% for the FDTD and PEEC methods. res.ectively, thereby confirming the accuracy of the FDTD s.mulation model.

Fraud of credit cards.is.a major is.ue for financial organizations.and *** fraudulent actions.become more complex,a demand for better fraud detection s.s.ems.is.*** learning approaches.have s.own promis. in s.veral fields.including detecting credit card ***,the efficacy of thes. models.is.heavily dependent on the careful s.lection of appropriate *** paper introduces.models.that integrate deep learning models.with hyperparameter tuning techniques.to learn the patterns.and relations.ips.within credit card trans.ction data,thereby improving fraud *** deep learning models.AutoEncoder(AE),Convolution Neural Network(CNN),and Long s.ort-Term memory(Ls.m)are propos.d to inves.igate how hyperparameter adjus.ment impacts.the efficacy of deep learning models.us.d to identify credit card *** experiments.conducted on a European credit card fraud datas.t us.ng different hyperparameters.and three deep learning models.demons.rate that the propos.d models.achieve a tradeoff between detection rate and precis.on,leading thes. models.to be effective in accurately predicting credit card *** res.lts.demons.rate that Ls.m s.gnificantly outperformed AE and CNN in terms.of accuracy(99.2%),detection rate(93.3%),and area under the curve(96.3%).Thes. propos.d models.have s.rpas.ed thos. of exis.ing s.udies.and are expected to make a s.gnificant contribution to the field of credit card fraud detection.
