Objectives： We analyzed polyphenol and antioxidant capacity in red wines malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat and Syrah varieties from wineries Calchaquies Valleys, in Salta, Argentine. methods： The total polyphenols was determined by UV absorption at 280 nm evaluating the D280 index. The antioxidant capacity was analyzed by absorbance measured at 520 nm and 420 nm and the color intensity and the hue was calculated by its summation by its relation. Key findings： The results presented indexes D280 （phenolic content） that ranged from 43.3 to 55.7. The antioxidant capacity is evaluate by the color intensity of red wines measuring absorbance values at 420 and 520 nm that ranged from 0.60 to 1.09. There is correlation between phenolic content and antioxidant capacity with a correlation coefficient of 0.974. Conclusions： The total polyphenol content in red wines is correlated with their antioxidant capacity. It is beneficial to health if the wine is consumed in low quantities. The Cabernet Sauvignon variety has more phenolic content than malbec, Tannat and Syrah varieties.

Immigration density magnitude and entry sizes of shrimp postlarvae to Terminos Lagoon were analyzed through sixteen fortnightly sampling from march to November in 2013, in three levels in the deepest channel of the Puerto Real inlet. Trapezium nets were used with 1.5 m length, 50 cm mouth diameter and 505 μm mesh, during each sampling 12 casts of 15 minutes/each were made. It was determined the presence of two species Litopenaeus setiferus and Farfantepenaeus duorarum, with total densities of 41.284 and 37.558 Pls 100 m-3 respectively. The annual cycle of immigration of postlarvae was very similar for both species, with a clear pattern of immigration throughout the year, linked to climatic variation, with the highest densities (88%) during rainy season. There were two periods of maximum density, related to the periods of greatest reproduction of these species. The density variation among cast reflects the presence of at least two and probably more postlarvae banks, located some closer than others to the mouth of the lagoon and with different densities in them. The average sizes of the two species were 7.9 mm total length of L. setiferus and 9.0 mm of F. duorarum. The differences in income sizes of both species seem to indicate the habitat preference of adult populations, L. setiferus occurring in more coastal areas than F. duorarum. Considering the variation in density and sizes throughout each sampling period, it is evident that the larvae on the banks belong to different cohorts and that have coincided in their location in front of the mouth.

Germanene nanostrips(GeNSs)have garnered significant attention in modern semiconductor technology due to their exceptional physical characteristics,positioning them as promising candidates for a wide range of *** exhibit a two-dimensional(buckled)honeycomb-like lattice,which is similar to germanene but with controllable *** modeling of GeNSs is essential for developing appropriate synthesis methods as it enables understanding and controlling the growth process of these ***,one can adjust the strip width,which in turn can tune the bandgap and plasmonic response of the material to meet specific device *** this study,the objective is to investigate the electronic behav-ior and THz plasmon features of GeNSs(≥100 nm wide).A semi-analytical model based on the charge-carrier velocity of free-standing germanene is utilized for this *** charge-carrier velocity of freestanding germanene is determined through the GW approximation(V_(F)=0.702×10^(6)m·s^(−1)).Within the width range of 100 to 500 nm,GeNSs exhibit narrow bandgaps,typi-cally measuring only a few ***,upon analysis,it was found that the bandgaps of the investigated GeNSs ranged between 29 and 6 *** well,these nanostrips exhibit√q-like plasmon dispersions,with their connected plasmonic fre-quency(≤30 THz)capable of being manipulated by varying parameters such as strip width,excitation plasmon angle,and sam-ple *** manipulations can lead to frequency variations,either increasing or decreasing,as well as shifts towards larger momentum *** outcomes of our study serve as a foundational motivation for future experiments,and further con-firmation is needed to validate the reported results.

AIm:To investigate whether we could create natural autologous tissue patches in the subcutaneous space for organ repair. mETHODS: We implanted the following three types of inert foreign bodies in the subcutaneous tissue of rats to produce autologous tissue patches of different geometries:(1) a large-sized polyvinyl tube(L = 25 mm,internal diameter = 7 mm) sealed at both ends by heat application for obtaining a large flat piece of tissue patch for organ repair;(2) a fine polyvinyl tubing(L = 25 mm,internal diameter = 3 mm) for creating cylindrically shaped grafts for vascular or nerve repair; and(3) a slurry of polydextran particle gel for inducing a bladder-like tissue. Implantation of inert materials was carried out by making a small incision on one or either side of the thoracic-lumbar region of rats. Subcutaneous pockets were created by blunt dissection around the incision into which the inert bodies were inserted(1 or 2 per rat). The incisions were closed with silk sutures,and the animals were allowed to recover. In case of the polydextran gel slurry 5 m L of the slurry was injected in the subcutaneous space using an 18 gauge needle. After implanting the foreign bodies a newly regenerated encapsulating tissue developed around the foreign bodies. The tissues were harvested after 4-42 d of implantation and studied by gross examination,histology,and histochemistry for organization,vascularity,and presence of mesenchymal stem cells(mSCs)(CD271+CD34+ cells). RESULTS: Implanting a large cylindrically shaped polyvinyl tube resulted in a large flat sheet of tissue that could be tailored to a specific size and shape for use as a tissue patch for repairing large organs. Implanting a smaller sized polyvinyl tube yielded a cylindrical tissue that could be useful for repairing nerves and blood vessels. The wall shear stress （WSS） that a moving fluid exerts on a surface affects many processes including those relating to vascular function. WSS plays an important role in normal physiology （e.g. angiogenesis） and affects the microvasculature＇s primary function of molecular transport. Points of fluctuating WSS show abnormalities in a number of diseases; however, there is no established technique for measuring WSS directly in physiological systems. All current methods rely on estimates obtained from measured velocity gradients in bulk flow data. In this work, we report a nanosensor that can directly measure WSS in microfluidic chambers with sub-micron spatial resolution by using a specific type of virus, the bacteriophage m13, which has been fluorescently labeled and anchored to a surface. It is demonstrated that the nanosensor can be calibrated and adapted for biological tissue, revealing WSS in micro-domains of cells that cannot be calculated accurately from bulk flow measurements. This method lends itself to a platform applicable to many applications in biology and microfluidics.

Two fixed points are associated to sustained oscillations which might be interpreted as the diastole and systole These parameters are associated with blood flow in human body called arterial pressure and are very important in the cardio-vascular diagnostic.

Tracheal disruption is a life-threatening rare complication of total thyroidectomy that it should be prevented. The own-patient risk factors, procedure of tracheal intubation and a meticulous surgical technique are three main keys to keep in mind. Both medical and surgical management of this injury depends on its size, location and patient’s symptoms although neither of them prevents late complications. An early diagnosis could improve with prognosis although it is mandatory to perform either respiratory functional or imaging study in order to assume its healing. When the tracheal laceration is diagnosed during the surgery, we should take care with a continuous monitoring of the patient’s vital signs. A good oxygenation will be succeeded in high volume and low pressure with endotracheal tube distal to the lesion. We advice placing a tube drain near the disruption to prevent emphysema and an early extubation to avoid an ischaemic damage of the mucosa. A postoperative suspicion of tracheal rupture could demand reintubation with the patient in full relaxation and an examination by CT-scan or fiberscope before deciding a simple supportive therapy. We present our therapeutic experience in a female patient who suffered from tracheal injury during total thyroidectomy and describe a review of literature.

In the context of climate change, the study of shoreline dynamics is a critical issue concerning economic losses in coastal countries. Therefore, since it is an important parameter to study the impacts of climate change in coastal areas, scientists are more interested in littoral studies seeking deep existential knowledge. This study aims to depict separately the coastal dynamics from 1990 to 2020 in Dakar region. The difference in terms of geologic, geomorphologic and hydrodynamic conditions within the three different coasts of Dakar and the prediction until 2040 have been taken into account in comparison to the previous studies. To achieve this purpose, the Geographic Information System (GIS) approach which is among the most current methods to determine the coastline dynamics is used. Historical Landsat images from the USGS, QGIS 3.12.0, Arc GIS 10.4 and DSAS software have been used for the Landsat images pre-processing and coastline dynamic computation. After obtaining the coastline velocity rate, some predictions of future coastline position have been estimated using the formula of velocity. The results showed that the Dakar region is characterized by an average rate of retreat about −0.44 m/year on the northern coast. The western and southern coasts record respectively a rate of about 0.21 and −0.11 m/year. In 2030, the average rates of retreat of −4.4, 2.1 and −1.1 m/year were estimated respectively in the northern, western and southern coasts.
