Development of the telencephalon relies upon several signaling centers-localized cellular populations that supply secreted factors to pattern the cortical *** such signaling center is the cortical hem,which arises during embryonic development at the telencephalic dorsal midline,adjacent to the choroid plexus and hippocampal primordium(Figure 1A).While the cortical hem has also been described in reptiles and birds,most of our knowledge about the developmental roles of the cortical hem is derived from the analysis in *** cortical hem produces several types of secreted molecules,including wingless-related integration site(Wnt)and bone morphogenetic(Bmp)*** cortical hem is particularly important for the development of the hippocampus,which is involved in learning and memory,and the neocortex,which is the most complex brain region that mediates multiple types of behavior and higher cognitive functions(mangale et al.,2008;Dal-Valle-Anton and Borrell,2022).

This study derives the analytic solutions of boundary layer flows bounded by a shrinking sheet. With the similarity transformations, the partial differential equations are reduced into the ordinary differential equations which are then solved by the homotopy analysis method （HAm）. Two-dimensional and axisymmetric shrinking flow cases are discussed.

Spinal muscular atrophy(SmA)is a genetic condition that results in selective lower motor neuron loss with concomitant muscle weakness and *** genetic cause of SmA was understood in 1995 when loss or impairment of the survival motor neuron 1(SmN1)gene was identified as the main contributing factor(Lefebvre et al.,1995).This,in combination with the discovery that humans have a“back-up”gene,SmN2,which can produce low levels(approximately 10%)of the full-length functional SmN protein,has led to the generation of SmA-specific gene *** was traditionally classified according to age of symptom onset and developmental milestones achieved,with life expectancy and severity varying between ***,SmN2 copy number is used as a proxy for the prediction of disease severity,with higher SmN2 copy number typically being associated with reduced severity of SmA,although this relationship is not absolute:some individuals with low SmN2 copy number have less severe SmA phenotypes and vice ***,the etiology of SmA is further complicated by other factors,such as non-typical nucleotide variants and SmN2-independent modifiers of disease severity.

The numerical computations for the magnetohydrodynamic(mHD) mixed convective flow of a non-Newtonian Casson nanofluid(Cu/H2O) within an open-ended cavity formed by earthquake-induced faults are analyzed, aiming to investigate the fluid dynamics and convection processes of geothermal systems. Such cavities, typically found in energy reservoirs, are primarily caused by tensional fault zones formed due to the accumulated energy from the disintegration of radioactive materials. These cavities play a crucial role in energy transmission, particularly in the form of heat. The focus of this paper is on the laminar, steady, and incompressible fluid flow. An inclined magnetic field is applied with an angle of inclination z = 30°. Additionally, a heated material with two vertical corrugated walls is placed at the center of the cavity. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations(PDEs) are transformed into the equations with a nondimensional form. The Galerkin finite element method(FEm) is implemented to solve the dimensionless equations. The impacts of key variables, including the Reynolds number Re, the volume fraction(0.01≤ φ_(p)≤0.05), the Hartmann number Ha, and the Casson parameter(0.5≤γ≤1.0), on the velocity and temperature distributions are studied. The analysis of the fluid flow and the heat transfer rate is conducted. The results indicate that the velocity increases as the volume fraction and the Reynolds number ***, the heat transfer rate rises with the Reynolds number and the volume fraction,while decreases with the higher Hartmann number. The Nusselt number increases with the volume fraction and the Reynolds number but decreases with the Hartmann number.

Adult neurogenesis persists after birth in the subventricular zone, with new neurons migrating to the granule cell layer and glomerular layers of the olfactory bulb, where they integrate into existing circuitry as inhibitory interneurons. The generation of these new neurons in the olfactory bulb supports both structural and functional plasticity, aiding in circuit remodeling triggered by memory and learning processes. However, the presence of these neurons, coupled with the cellular diversity within the olfactory bulb, presents an ongoing challenge in understanding its network organization and function. moreover,the continuous integration of new neurons in the olfactory bulb plays a pivotal role in regulating olfactory information processing. This adaptive process responds to changes in epithelial composition and contributes to the formation of olfactory memories by modulating cellular connectivity within the olfactory bulb and interacting intricately with higher-order brain regions. The role of adult neurogenesis in olfactory bulb functions remains a topic of debate. Nevertheless, the functionality of the olfactory bulb is intricately linked to the organization of granule cells around mitral and tufted cells. This organizational pattern significantly impacts output, network behavior, and synaptic plasticity, which are crucial for olfactory perception and memory. Additionally, this organization is further shaped by axon terminals originating from cortical and subcortical regions. Despite the crucial role of olfactory bulb in brain functions and behaviors related to olfaction, these complex and highly interconnected processes have not been comprehensively studied as a whole. Therefore, this manuscript aims to discuss our current understanding and explore how neural plasticity and olfactory neurogenesis contribute to enhancing the adaptability of the olfactory system. Cloud computing, after its success as a commercial infrastructure, is now emerging as a private infrastructure. The software platforms available to build private cloud computing infrastructure vary in their performance for management of cloud resources as well as in utilization of local physical resources. Organizations and individuals looking forward to reaping the benefits of private cloud computing need to understand which software platform would provide the efficient services and optimum utilization of cloud resources for their target applications. In this paper, we present our initial study on performance evaluation and comparison of three cloud computing software platforms from the perspective of common cloud users who intend to build their private clouds. We compare the performance of the selected software platforms from several respects describing their suitability for applications from different domains. Our results highlight the critical parameters for performance evaluation of a software platform and the best software platform for different application domains.

In the present paper we discuss the magnetohydrodynamic （mHD） peristaltic flow of a hyperbolic tangent fluid model in a vertical asymmetric channel under a zero Reynolds number and long wavelength approximation. Exact solution of the temperature equation in the absence of dissipation term has been computed and the analytical ex- pression for stream function and axial pressure gradient are established. The flow is analyzed in a wave frame of reference moving with the velocity of wave. The expression for pressure rise has been computed numerically. The physical features of pertinent parameters are analyzed by plotting graphs and discussed in detail.

This work is concerned with the analysis of blood flow through inclined catheterized arteries having a balloon(angioplasty) with time-variant overlapping stenosis. The nature of blood in small arteries is analyzed mathematically by considering it as a Carreau nanofluid. The highly nonlinear momentum equations of nanofluid model are simplified by considering the mild stenosis case. The formulated problem is solved by a homotopy perturbation expansion in terms of a variant of the Weissenberg number to obtain explicit forms for the axial velocity, the stream function, the pressure gradient, the resistance impedance and the wall shear stress distribution. These solutions depend on the Brownian motion number, thermophoresis number, local temperature Grashof number G_r and local nanoparticle Grash of number B_r. The results were also studied for various values of the physical parameters, such as the Weissenberg number W_i, the power law index n, the taper angle φ, the maximum height of stenosis δ~*, the angle of inclination α, the maximum height of balloon σ~*, the axial displacement of the balloon z_d~*,the flow rate F and the Froud number Fr. The obtained results show that the transmission of axial velocity curves through a Newtonian fluid(Wi=0, n=1, Gr=0, Br=0, Nt=0, Nb≠0) is substantially lower than that through a Carreau nanofluid near the wall of balloon while the inverse occurs in the region between the balloon and stenosis. The streamlines have a clearly distinguished shifting toward the stenotic region and this shifting appears near the wall of the balloon, while it has almost disappeared near the stenotic wall and the trapping bolus in the case of horizontal arteries and Newtonian fluid(Wi=0, n=1, Gr=0, Br=0, Nt=0, Nb≠0) does not appear but for the case of Carreau nanofluid bolus appears.
