The heavy ion-acoustic solitary waves(HIASWs) in a magnetized, collisionless, space plasma system(containing dynamical heavy ions and bi-kappa distributed electrons of two distinct temperatures) have been theoretically investigated. The Korteweg-de Vries(K-dV), modified K-dV(mK-dV), and higher-order mK-dV(HmK-dV) equations are derived by employing the reductive perturbation method. The basic features of HIASWs(viz. speed, polarity,amplitude, width, etc.) are found to be significantly modified by the effects of number density and temperature of different plasma species, and external magnetic field(obliqueness). The K-dV and Hm-Kd V equations give rise to both compressive and rarefactive solitary structures, whereas the mK-dV equation supports only the compressive solitary structures. The implication of our results in some space and laboratory plasma situations are briefly discussed.

This study was attempted to reveal the changes in three hematological parameters such as blood hemoglobin,number of white blood cells(WBCs)and number of red blood cells(RBCs)and one biochemical(e.g.,glucose)parameter along with the changes in histomorphological structures of gills and kidney of Nile tilapia fry reared in saline *** experimental set up were used for two different age groups-5 days-after-hatch(5DAH)and 15 days-after-hatch(15DAH)-to test a novel hypothesis:if a little difference in the age during the first exposure to saline water could produce any variation in the *** were placed into 6 plastic drums having six different salinity levels:0,5,10,15,20 and *** 60 days,at least 5 individuals were taken out from each drum to observe the above-hematological and histomorphological parameters.A two-way-ANOVA revealed that,except for hemoglobin,all the observed parameters have been affected the effect of age×salinity interaction(Pmean glucose value,RBC counts and WBC count at different salinities differed significantly from the base mean value of each *** regard to the histomorphological structure of the gills and kidney,various malformations were *** hypertrophy,epithelial uplifting and epithelial necrosis were present as gill degenerations,hyperplasia was prevalent across almost all salinity *** the other hand,glomerular necrosis,pyknotic nucleus,hyaline droplets degeneration,shrinking of the glomeruli,*** observed in kidney *** assisting to understand the effects of salinity stress,all these data on tilapia fry will help to determine the prospects and scope of culturing the species in high-salinity water.

Dynamic constrained optimization is a challenging research topic in which the objective function and/or constraints change over *** such problems,it is commonly assumed that all problem instances are *** reality some instances can be infeasible due to various practical issues,such as a sudden change in resource requirements or a big change in the availability of ***-makers have to determine whether a particular instance is feasible or not,as infeasible instances cannot be solved as there are no solutions to *** this case,locating the nearest feasible solution would be valuable information for the *** this paper,a differential evolution algorithm is proposed for solving dynamic constrained problems that learns from past environments and transfers important knowledge from them to use in solving the current instance and includes a mechanism for suggesting a good feasible solution when an instance is *** judge the performance of the proposed algorithm,13 well-known dynamic test problems were *** results indicate that the proposed algorithm outperforms existing recent algorithms with a margin of 79.40%over all the environments and it can also find a good,but infeasible solution,when an instance is infeasible.

In this study, concentrations of Cr, mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb were determined in road dusts collected from different locations in Dhaka to assess source, contamination status and health risk. Energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were used to determine Cr, mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb and their mean concentrations were 162.27 ± 29.46, 721.18 ± 180.14, 35.65 ± 12.55, 104.56 ± 128.33, 515.32 ± 321.90,BDL, and 342.82 ± 591.20 mg/kg, respectively. Among the heavy metals, highest concentrations of Cu, Zn and Pb were found at urban sites-7(municipal waste dumping) and 8(medical waste incineration). Highest concentration of Cr followed by Cu and Zn was found at site-5(Tejgaon, urban). Principal component analysis revealed that anthropogenic activities are the potential sources for Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn and Pb while earth crust for mn. Pollution index and pollution load index results suggested that all the sites were contaminated and/or degraded by Cr, Cu, Zn and Pb except sites-9(urban), 10(sub-urban), 11(rural) while sites-7 and 8(urban) were extremely degraded. For noncarcinogenic health risk, hazard quotient values for dermal were higher compared to that of inhalation/ingestion. Though hazard index values were less than 1 at all the sites, these were at least one order of magnitude higher for children group than that of adult group, thus the children group may face more noncarcinogenic health risk at sites -7 and 8. Values of incremental lifetime cancer risk were from 10to 10showed no carcinogenic health risk by road dusts contaminated with the heavy metals.

mechanical properties consisting of the bulk modulus,shear modulus,Young’s modulus,Poisson’s ratio,etc.,are key factors in determining the practical applications of mAX *** mechanical properties are mainly dependent on the strength of m–X and m–A *** this study,a novel strategy based on the crystal graph convolution neural network(CGCNN)model has been successfully employed to tune these mechanical properties of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)-based mAX phases via the A-site substitution(Ti_(3)(Al1-xAx)C_(2)).The structure–property correlation between the A-site substitution and mechanical properties of Ti_(3)(Al1-xAx)C_(2)is *** results show that the thermodynamic stability of Ti_(3)(Al1-xAx)C_(2)is enhanced with substitutions A=Ga,Si,Sn,Ge,Te,As,or *** stiffness of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)increases with the substitution concentration of Si or As increasing,and the higher thermal shock resistance is closely associated with the substitution of Sn or *** addition,the plasticity of Ti_(3)AlC_(2)can be greatly improved when As,Sn,or Ge is used as a *** findings and understandings demonstrated herein can provide universal guidance for the individual synthesis of high-performance mAX phases for various applications.

In a beamhouse,liming plays a key role in the removal of hair/wool and epidermis,but problems are created when waste liming sludge is discharged to the *** treatment of tannery wastewater is another major challenge to the *** this study,thermally-activated biochars derived from liming sludge were studied for their effective adsorption of chromium(Cr)from the tannery *** thermally activated biochars(B500,B550,B600,and B650)were prepared at different temperatures from the liming *** characteristics before and after the treatment were investigated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,Bru-nauer-Emmett-Teller,and scanning electron microscopy *** related functional groups(C-H,O-H,C-N,and=C-O)and chromium adsorption capacity were determined according to the surface morphology,element contents(C,O,Ca,Na,Al,mg,and Si),surface area(5.8-9.2 m^(2)/g),pore size(5.22-5.53 nm),and particle size(652-1034 nm)of the experimental *** biochar originated at 600°C from the tannery liming sludge(B600)had a greater surface area with a chromium adsorption capacity of 99.8%in comparison to B500,B550,and B650 *** study developed an innovative way of utilizing liming sludge waste to minimize the pollution load and wastewater treatment cost in the tannery industry.

Extraction and characterization of alumina nanopowders from aluminum dross by acid dissolution process

A significant amount of aluminum dross is available as a waste in foundry industries in Bangladesh. In this study, alumina was ex- tracted from aluminum dross collected from two foundry industries situated in Dhamrai and manikgang, near the capital city, Dhaka. Alu- minum dross samples were found to approximately contain 75wt% A1203 and 12wt% SIO2. An acid dissolution process was used to recover the alumina value from the dross. The effects of various parameters, e.g., temperature, acid concentration, and leaching time, on the extrac- tion of alumina were studied to optimize the dissolution process. First, AI（OH）3 was produced in the form of a gel. Calcination of the AI（OH）3 gel at 1000℃, 1200℃, and 1400℃ for 2 h produced O-AlcOa, （t~＋O）-A1203, and u-alumina powder, respectively. Thermal charac- terization of the AI（OH）3 gel was performed by thermogravimetric/differential thermal analysis （TG/DTA） and differential scanning calo- rimetry （DSC）. The phases and crystallite size of the alumina were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The dimensions of the alumina were found to be on the nano level. The chemical compositions of the aluminum dross and alumina were determined by X-ray fluorescence （XRF） spectroscopy. The microstructure and morphology of the alumina were studied with scanning electron microscopy. The purity of the alumina extracted in this study was found to be 99.0%. Thus, it is expected that the obtained alumina powders can be potentially utilized as biomaterials.

Experiments on initiation of motion of different fractions of non-uniform sediment mixtures are reported. Four sediment mixes and reference transport method to define the threshold of bed particle movement are used in this analysis. Factors controlling the initiation of motion are analyzed. It is found that relative size of different grains with respect to a median size greatly affects the initiation of movement. The incipient motion of non-uniform sediment is very much dependent on the absolute size for coarser fractions. Considering the factors controlling the initiation of motion the experimental data sets along with the other available data yield a new relationship for the calculation of critical shear stress of non-uniform sediments. A set of equations have found that all the data points fall into a single line for the finer and for coarser fractions.

Objective:To assess the immunopotentiality of Ayurvedic polyherbal preparations,"Saribadi" and "Anantamul Salsa".methods: Freshly prepared BALB/c mice splenocytes were cultured with "Saribadi" or"Anantamul Salsa" treatment [doses of 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1.00%, 1.50%, 2.00%,3.00% and 4.00%(v/v)] at 37C for 5 days. The immunoglobulin m(Igm) production and lymphocytes proliferation were determined by ELISA and mTT methods, *** contamination was assessed by treating the preparations with polymyxin ***: The doses of "Saribadi" [0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75% and 1.00%(v/v)] significantly increased Igm productions(0.966, 0.728, 0.695 and 0.615 mg/m L vs. control 0.265 mg/m L)and lymphocytes proliferation [absorbance 0.311, 0.394, 0.372 and 0.334 optical density(OD) vs. control 0.162 OD]. Similarly, the doses of "Anantamul Salsa" [0.50%, 0.75%,1.00% and 1.50%(v/v)] promoted Igm productions(0.933, 0.919, 0.917 and 0.892 mg/m L vs. control 0.502 mg/m L) and the doses of "Anantamul Salsa" [0.50%, 0.75%, 1.00%,1.50%, 2.00%, and 3.00%(v/v)] stimulated lymphocytes proliferation(absorbance 0.395,0.326, 0.440, 0.398, 0.452 and 0.355 OD vs. control 0.199 OD). The activity of "Saribadi"and "Anantamul Salsa" was not retarded by the treatment of preparations with polymyxin ***: Immunomodulatory activity of "Saribadi" and "Anantamul Salsa" was unveiled for the first time. "Saribadi" and "Anantamul Salsa" possess immunostimulating potential acting through the induction of lymphocyte proliferation and Igm *** preparations may be useful in strengthening immune responses. However, further cellular and in vivo studies are required.
