The paper addresses the thermophoretic motion(Tm) equation, which is serviced to describe soliton-like thermophoresis of wrinkles in graphene sheet based on Korteweg-de Vries(KdV) equation. The generalized uni?ed method is capitalized to construct wrinkle-like multiple soliton solutions. Graphical analysis of one, two, and threesoliton solutions is carried out to depict certain properties like width, amplitude, shape, and open direction are adjustable through various parameters.

Background:Administration of progesterone(P4)to ewes during the first 9 to 12 days of pregnancy accelerates blastocyst development by day 12 of pregnancy,likely due to P4-induced up-regulation of key genes in uterine epithelia responsible for secretion and transport of components of histotroph into the uterine *** study determined if acceleration of blastocyst development induced by exogenous P4 during the pre-implantation period affects fetal-placental development on day 125 of *** ewes(n=35)were mated to fertile rams and assigned randomly to receive daily intramuscular injections of either corn oil vehicle(CO,n=18)or 25 mg progesterone in CO(P4,n=17)for the first 8 days of *** ewes were hysterectomized on day 125 of pregnancy and:1)fetal and placental weights and measurements were recorded;2)endometrial and placental tissues were analyzed for the expression of candidate mRNAs involved in nutrient transport and arginine metabolism;and 3)maternal plasma,fetal plasma,allantoic fluid,and amniotic fluid were analyzed for amino acids,agmatine,polyamines,glucose,and ***:Treatment of ewes with exogenous P4 did not alter fetal or placental growth,but increased amounts of aspartate and arginine in allantoic fluid and amniotic fluid,*** that received exogenous P4 had greater expression of mRNAs for SLC7A1,SLC7A2,SLC2A1,AGmAT,and ODC1 in endometria,as well as SLC1A4,SLC2A5,SLC2A8 and ODC1 in *** addition,AZIN2 protein was immunolocalized to uterine luminal and glandular epithelia in P4-treated ewes,whereas AZIN2 localized only to uterine luminal epithelia in CO-treated ***:This study revealed that exogenous P4 administered in early pregnancy influenced expression of selected genes for nutrient transporters and the expression of a protein involved in polyamine synthesis on day 125 of pregnancy,suggesting a‘programming’effect of P4 on gene expression that affected the composition of nutrients in f

Background:The School Wellness Integration Targeting Child Health(SWITCH)intervention has demonstrated feasibility as an implementation approach to help schools facilitate changes in students’physical activity(PA),sedentary screen time(SST),and dietary intake(DI).This study evaluated the comparative effectiveness of enhanced(individualized)implementation and standard(group-based)***:Twenty-two Iowa elementary schools participated,with each receiving standardized training(wellness conference and webinars).Schools were matched within region and randomized to receive either individualized or group implementation *** PA,SST,and DI outcomes of 1097 students were assessed at pre-and post-intervention periods using the Youth Activity *** mixed models evaluated differential change in outcomes by condition,for comparative effectiveness,and by ***:Both implementation conditions led to significant improvements in PA and SST over time(pmprove commensurately(p value range:0.02‒0.05).There were no differential changes between the group and individualized conditions for PA(p=0.51),SST(p=0.19),or DI(p=0.73).There were no differential effects by gender(i.e.,non-significant condition-by-gender interactions)for PA(p_(for interaction)=0.86),SST(p_(for interaction)=0.46),or DI(p_(for interaction)=0.15).Effect sizes for both conditions equated to approximately 6 min more PA per day and approximately 3 min less sedentary ***:The observed lack of difference in outcomes suggests that group implementation of SWITCH is equally effective as individualized implementation for building capacity in school wellness ***,the lack of interaction by gender suggests that SWITCH can be beneficial for both boys and *** research is needed to understand the school-level factors that influence implementation(and outcomes)of SWITCH.

Ectotherms generally demonstrate nonlinear changes in performance （e.g., movement speed, indi- vidual growth, population growth） as a function of temperature that are characterized by thermal performance curves （TPC）. Predation risk elicits phenotypic and behavioral changes that likewise impact performance measures. We tested whether exposure to predation Orthocyclops modestus impacts the maximum population growth rate （rmax） TPC of the protist Paramecium aurelia. We fit predator and non-predator exposed P. aurelia population growth rates to a function previously shown to best describe Paramecium population growth rate TPC＇s （Lactin-2） and compared subse- quent parameter estimates between curves. For Paramecium exposed to predation risk, maximum population growth increased more rapidly as temperatures rose and decreased more rapidly as temperatures fell compared to the initial temperature. The area under each TPC curve remained ap- proximately the same, consistent with the idea of a trade-off in performance across temperatures. Our results indicate TPCs are flexible given variation in food web context and that trophic inter- actions may play an important role in shaping TPCs. Furthermore, this and other studies illustrate the need for a mechanistic model of TPCs with parameters tied to biologically meaningful properties.

A beam dynamics design of 352.2 mHz radio-frequency quadrupole(RFQ) of Turkish Accelerator Center(TAC) project which accelerates continuous wave(CW) proton beam with 30 m A current from 50 ke V to3 me V kinetic energy has been performed in this study. Also, it includes error analysis of the RFQ, in which some fluctuations have been introduced to input beam parameters to see how the output beam parameters are affected, two-dimensional(2-D) and three-dimensional(3-D) electromagnetic structural design of the RFQ to obtain optimum cavity paramaters that agree with the ones of the beam dynamics. The beam dynamics and error analysis of the RFQ have been done by using ***. Electromagnetic design parameters have been obtained by using SUPERFISH for 2-D cavity geometry and CST microwave Studio for 3-D cavity geometry.

Yttria-stabilized zirconia(YSZ,ZrO_(2)-8%Y2O_(3))films were deposited onto lanthanum strontium manganite(LSm,La_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)mnO_(3))substrates using dip-coating process aiming for the application in solid oxide fuel cells(SOFCs).YSZ precursor was prepared by sol-gel method;three values of the organic/inorganic concentration ratio(1,3 and 5)were utilized and the sol viscosity was adjusted(60 mPa·s and 100 mPa·s)before deposition on the *** influence of these synthesis parameters on the structure and morphology of the deposited films was examined by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEm).The films showed characteristic peaks of LSm,YSZ(with cubic structure)and secondary phases of SrZrO_(3) and La_(2)O_(3).Depending on the synthesis conditions,crack-free,homogeneous and well adhered films were obtained,with thickness of 11-24μm.

A series of dihydropyrano[c]chromene was obtained via condensation of aldehyde, malononitrile and 4-hydroxycoumarin in water catalyzed by morpholine, as a one-pot reaction. The significance of our findings relates to reducing the use of organic solvents, potentially toxic and hazardous materials, as well as its simplicity, good yields, mild conditions, and lower costs.

Shell-and-tube vaporizers are the most commonly used and dominated types of vaporizers in liquefied natural gas （LNG） realm. Due to efficient performance, shell-side flow in this type of vaporizers has received considerable attention and has been investigated extensively. However, the detailed flow structure in the shell needs to be determined for reliable and effective design. Therefore, the objective of this study was to clarify the flow structure in shell by particle image velocimetry （PIV）. Experiments were conducted using two types of model; 15% baffle cut having inlet and outlet positions !n the direction of 90° to the cut and 30% baffle cut having inlet and outlet positions in the direction of 180° to the cut. Each test section is 169 mm in inner diameter and 344.6 mm in length. The flow features were characterized in different baffle cuts with regards to the velocity vector field and velocity distribution. The results show that the flow characteristics of 15% baffle cut type vaporizer are comparable to those of 30% baffle cut type vaporizer.
