Graphene oxide(GO)is a 2D coating material used to improve fiber optics sensors’response to relative *** resonators(mBRs)have garnered more attention as sensing media *** mBR with a 190μm diameter was coated with ***,tapered fiber light coupling was used to investigate the relative humidity sensing performance in the range of 35—70%RH at 25℃.The mBR showed a higher Q factor before and after GO *** sensitivity of 0.115 dB/%RH was recorded with the 190μm GO-coated mBR sample compared to a sensitivity of 0.022 dB/%RH for the uncoated mBR *** results show that the mBR can be used in fiber optic sensing applications for environmental sensing.

In the digital age,non-touch communication technologies are reshaping human-device interactions and raising security concerns.A major challenge in current technology is the misinterpretation of gestures by sensors and cameras,often caused by environmental *** issue has spurred the need for advanced data processing methods to achieve more accurate gesture recognition and *** study presents a novel virtual keyboard allowing character input via distinct hand gestures,focusing on two key aspects:hand gesture recognition and character input *** developed a novel model with LSTm and fully connected layers for enhanced sequential data processing and hand gesture *** also integrated CNN,max-pooling,and dropout layers for improved spatial feature *** model architecture processes both temporal and spatial aspects of hand gestures,using LSTm to extract complex patterns from frame sequences for a comprehensive understanding of input *** unique dataset,essential for training the model,includes 1,662 landmarks from dynamic hand gestures,33 postures,and 468 face landmarks,all captured in real-time using advanced pose *** model demonstrated high accuracy,achieving 98.52%in hand gesture recognition and over 97%in character input across different *** excellent performance in real-time testing underlines its practicality and effectiveness,marking a significant advancement in enhancing human-device interactions in the digital age.

Correction of failure in antenna array using matrix pencil technique

In this paper a non-iterative technique is developed for the correction of faulty antenna array based on matrix pencil technique（mPT）. The failure of a sensor in antenna array can damage the radiation power pattern in terms of sidelobes level and nulls. In the developed technique, the radiation pattern of the array is sampled to form discrete power pattern information set. Then this information set can be arranged in the form of Hankel matrix（Hm） and execute the singular value decomposition（SVD）. By removing nonprincipal values, we obtain an optimum lower rank estimation of Hm. This lower rank matrix corresponds to the corrected pattern. Then the proposed technique is employed to recover the weight excitation and position allocations from the estimated matrix. Numerical simulations confirm the efficiency of the proposed technique, which is compared with the available techniques in terms of sidelobes level and nulls.

Correction of array failure using grey wolf optimizer hybridized with an interior point algorithm

We design a grey wolf optimizer hybridized with an interior point algorithm to correct a faulty antenna array. If a single sensor fails, the radiation power pattern of the entire array is disturbed in terms of sidelobe level（SLL） and null depth level（NDL）, and nulls are damaged and shifted from their original locations. All these issues can be solved by designing a new fitness function to reduce the error between the preferred and expected radiation power patterns and the null limitations. The hybrid algorithm has been designed to control the array＇s faulty radiation power pattern. Antenna arrays composed of 21 sensors are used in an example simulation scenario. The mATLAB simulation results confirm the good performance of the proposed method, compared with the existing methods in terms of SLL and NDL.

The mechanical and physical properties of biodegradable magnesium(mg)alloys m.ke them suitable for temporary orthopaedic *** success of these alloys depends on their performance in the physiological *** the present work,surface modification of mg-Ca binary alloy by acid pickling for better biomineralization and controlled biodegradation is *** corrosion rates of nitric and phosphoric acid treated samples were analysed by conducting electrochemical corrosion *** vitro degradation behaviour was studied using immersion test in simulated body fluid(SBF).The sample surfaces were characterized using scanning electron microscope(SEm),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).It is seen that acid pickling leads to significant improvement in biomineralization and develop in situ calcium phosphate(Ca P)coating on the sample *** addition,the treated samples recorded a reduced degradation rate in the SBF compared to untreated ***,acid pickling is suggested as an effective surface treatment method to tailor the biomineralization and degradation behaviour of the mg-Ca alloy in the physiological environment.

Crystallization kinetics of overlapping phases in Se70Te15Sb15 using isoconversional methods

The crystallization kinetics of Se70Te15Sb15 chalcogenide glass was studied by Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC) under non-isothermal conditions. This glass was found to have a double glass transition and double overlapped crystalline phases. The overlapped crystalline phases were successfully separated using the Gaussian fit model. The activation energy, Ec, and Avrami index, n, were determined by analyzing the data using the matausita et. al. method. A strong heating rate depending on the activation energy for the two crystalline peaks was observed. The results indicated that the transformation from amorphous to crystalline phases is a complex process involving different mechanisms of nucleation and growth. The variation of activation energy with crystalline fraction was determined by kissenger–Akahira–Sunose(kAS) method. The obtained results of directly fitting the experimental DSC data to the calculated DSC curves indicated that the crystallization process of Se70Te15Sb15 glass cannot be satisfactorily described by the Johnson–mehl–Avrami(JmA) model. Simulation results indicated that the Sestak–Berggren(SB) model is more suitable to describe the crystallization process for the studied glass. The crystalline phases for the two events were identified by using x-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEm).

Immunocytochemical localization of carbonic anhydrase in the pseudobranch tissue of the rainbow trout Oncorhynchus m.kiss

Pseudobranch function has long interested scientists, but its role has yet to be elucidated. Several studies have suggested that pseudobranchs serve respiratory, osmoregulatory, and sensory functions. This work investigated the immunolocalization of pseudobranch carbonic anhydrase （CA） in the teleost fish species rainbow trout （Oncor- hynchus m.kiss） to clarify its physiological function. CA was purified from rainbow trout gills O. m.kiss and specific antibodies were raised. Immunoblotting between tissue homogenates of pseudobrench and gill CA antibodies showed specific immunostaining with only one band corresponding to CA in the pseudobranch homogenate. Results of im- munohistochemical technique revealed that CA was distributed within pseudobranch cells and more precisely in the apical parts （anti-vascular） of cells. The basal （vascular） parts of cells, tubular system, blood capillaries, and pillar cells were not immunostained. Immunocytochemistry confirmed these results and showed that some CA enzyme was cytoplasmic and the remainder was linked to membranous structures. The results also showed that the lacunar tissue tayers did not display immunoperoxidase activity. Our results indicated that pseudobranch CA may have a function related to the extracellular medium wherein CA intervenes with the mechanism of stimulation of afferent nerve fibers.

Spectral investigation of Sm^(3+)/Yb^(3+) co-doped sodium tellurite glass

Sm3＋/yb3＋ co-doped tellurite glasses are prepared by melt-quenching technique. The density of the glasses varies between 4.65 and 4.84 g/cm3. The optical absorption spectra consist of eight bands in the wavelength range of 350-2 000 nm, which correspond to the transitions from ground level 6H5/2 to the various excited states of the Sm3＋ ion. Energy band gaps vary in the range of 2.73 2.91 eV, and the Urbach energy ranges from 0.21 to 0.27. Emission spectra exhibit four peaks originating from the 4G5/2 energy level centered at 576, 613, 657, and 718 nm. Quenches in emission bands may be due to the energy transfer from the Sm3＋ to Yb3＋ ions.
