This paper represents the interaction of well characterized Lewis base [（Pyr）nCuX]4O2, n = 1 or 2, X = Cl, Br or I, Pyr = pyrrolidine with CO2 as a Lewis acid to produce new series of oxidative coupling and catechol oxidase initiators [（Pyr）nCuX]4（CO3）2. These carbonato derivatives are isolated as stable solids. They are easily soluble in aprotic solvents as Ch2Cl2 or PhNO2. Cryoscopic measurements support tetranuclear core structure for all of them. Infrared spectra show differences from their oxo analogous in the carbonato domains but those differences did not distinguish between tridentate bridging carbonato and bidentate one. Rate of oxidation of 2,6-dimethylphenol （DmP） by [（Pyr）CuCl]4（CO3）2, supports coordination number six for Cu（Ⅱ） centers in [（Pyr）CuCl]4（CO3）2. In order to fulfill coordination number six, for n = 1, carbonate will act as tridentate while for n = 2, it will act as bidentate, as shown in Scheme 4. Near infrared spectra indicate a [（3 halo） Cu（Ⅱ） charge transfer] for [（Pyr）nCuX]4（CO3）2, n = 1 or 2, X = Cl or Br. Low molecular absorptivities of the maxima at 825 nm and 730 nm for [（Pyr）nCuI]4（CO3）2, n = 1 or 2 with a minimum of high molecular absorptivities at 600 nm, comparing to X= CI or Br analogous, support a step structure for [（Pyr）,Cul]4（CO3）2, as shown in Scheme 5. Cyclic voltammograms for [（Pyr）nCuX]4（CO3）2; n = 1 or 2, X = CI or Br, are irreversible in characters.

Coffee arabica *** an economical crop cultivated in many countries including *** present study evaluated the phytochemical contents of the methanolic extracts,prepared by maceration,of six Yemeni green coffee beans varieties namely Esmaeli,hamadi,harazi,mattari,Odaini and ***(phosphomolybdenum,antiradical,reducing power and ferrous chelating),and enzyme inhibition activity of the extracts against acetylcholinesterase butyrylcholinesterase,tyrosinase,α-glucosidase,andα-amylase were also *** of total phenols revealed that all green beans varieties were richer in their total polyphenolic(63.77-110.98 mg gallic acid equivalent per g of extract)content than their flavonoids one(2.86-5.57 mg rutin equivalent per g of extract).hPLC-mS/mS analysis of 30 selected bioactive compounds showed that all varieties had the same types of phytoconstituents with differences in their relative ***(1613.89-2466.38μg/g)followed by 5-caffeoylquinic acid(1017.63-1313.39μg/g)were the dominant compounds in all varieties with caffeine more abundant in Esmaeli variety while 5-caffeoylquinic acid in Odaini *** varieties displayed a pronounced antioxidant property in all the in vitro assays with Odaini variety significantly(phe highest anti-DPPh radicals(253.96 mg Trolox equivalent(TE)/g),metal chelating(19.73 mg Disodium edetate equivalents/g),Cu^(2+)(441.11 mg TE/g)and Fe3+(221.04 mg TE/g)reducing ***,the majority of green coffee beans varieties showed comparable enzyme inhibition property with highest activity recorded against tyrosinase(39.35-46.96 mg kojic acid equivalents/g)and acetylcholinesterase(1.80-2.17 mg galanthamine equivalents/g)*** conclusion,all Yemeni green coffee beans varieties have proven to be rich source of biochemicals with beneficial impact on human health and could be of significant applications in food,pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry.

Evaluating Groundwater Pollution Using hydrochemical Data: Case Study (Al Wahat Area East of Libya)

Water is one of the most challenging current and future natural resources, which will directly affect the environment and development by the changes in its quantity, quality and regional distribution. however, Water quality is the critical factor that influences human health and irrigation proposer. This work aims to investigate hydrochemical analysis and geochemical processes influencing the groundwater of Al Wahat area (Jalou, Awjla and Jukherra), which is located in central east Libya. Thirty four water samples collected from domestic and agricultural water wells were analyzed and used for conventional classification techniques which were Piper, Durov and Stiff diagrams to evaluate geochemical processes. Cluster analysis was used to identify the water type and ions concentration and distribution. Results show significant increase of dissolved salts, especially Nitrates. elevated nitrates concentration can be attributed to either the disposal of untreated sewage water from disposal ponds and septic tanks or the infiltration of irrigation water saturated with fertilizing chemicals. Therefore, irrigation wells revealed that suffering from nitrate contamination caused an increase of the chance of nitrate pollution. In addition, contour maps present a sudden increase in the total dissolved salts (TDS) in the northeastern part?coincident with the highest of secondary ions of NO3 content, indicating the infiltration of irrigation water which is responsible partially for the groundwater degradation. hydrogeochemical facie is NaCl type and enrichment of Na+ and Cl- can be attributed to urban untreated wastewaters and high rate of evapotranspiration. The concentrations of heavy elements such as Zn, Pb, Cu, Cd, Ni and Cr were low and within the WhO ranges.

Prevalence of Some Deteriorating microorganisms in Some Varieties of Cheese

Aim: This work throws light on the deteriorating microorganisms in some varieties of cheeses [hard cheese (Ras cheese), and processed cheese]. material and method: Thirty Ras cheese and processed cheese samples were collected randomly and subjected to chemical & microbiological examination to determine its contamination with deteriorating microorganisms. Results: Chemical examination showed that the mean titratable acidity % of Ras and Processed cheese samples were 0.5 ± 0.073 and 0.93% ± 0.062%, respectively, while salt % were 3.4 ± 0.078 and 1.03% ± 0.05%, respectively. most of samples were contaminated with high numbers of Coliforms, yeast, mold, proteolytic, lipolytic and Enterococci. Conclusion: There are poor hygienic measures during production, processing and handling of cheese.

Effect of Flaky Plastic Particle Size and Volume Used as Partial Replacement of Gravel on Compressive Strength and Density of Concrete mix

Common ways of disposing waste plastic such as incineration and landfilling have negative impacts on the environment. Partial replacement of natural aggregate in concrete with waste plastic including polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is more environmental friendly and sustainable. The effect of adding 5% to 20% waste plastic by volume of natural coarse aggregate (“gravel”) and plastic particle size (3 to 7 mm) on the density and compressive strength of plastic-concrete mix after 28 days of curing was studied. The results showed that density of the concrete decreased from 2406.7 to 2286.7 kg/m3 as waste plastic increased from 5% to 20% v/v compared with 2443.3 kg/m3 recorded by concrete without waste plastic. Change in particle size from 3 to 7 mm has no significant effect on the density of the plastic-concrete mix. The compressive strength decreased as the volume and particle size of waste plastic increased. When waste plastic volume changed from 5% to 20% v/v, the compressive strength decreased from 20.5 to 15 mPa, 18.6 to 14.3 mPa and 17.2 to 13.8 mPa for 3, 5 and 7 mm waste plastic particle size respectively while the concrete without plastic has 21.33 mPa. Therefore, the addition of 5% (v/v gravel) of flaky waste plastic in the concrete produces a lightweight concrete which could offer economic benefit without substantially reducing the compressive strength of the plastic-concrete mix.

Physical Transformations of Agri-Food Products during Their Convective Drying: Characterization of the Contraction and Isotropicity of Okra

The physical transformations in terms of contraction of okra dimensions during convective drying were examined. During drying, the lateral and longitudinal dimensions of okra decrease over time. The lateral dimensions go from their initial value to around 53%, 65% and 66% of this value after 530 min. The length of the two samples used goes from 8.65 and 9.02 cm to 6.79 and 7.52 cm after 14,300 min, i.e. a variation of 78.50% and 83.37%. All the two directions give variations almost linear depending on the water content. These linear contractions result in a volume contraction of the okra. It considerably decreases in volume during the drying process. The volume goes from 831.32 cm3 to 367.57 cm3 in min, a variation of 44.22%. The isotropic index reveals that okra does not behave the same in the lateral and longitudinal directions. It contracts its diameter more than its length.

This present work solves the problem of initial shape influence on transfer during convective drying. A characteristic dimension is found for the cubic, cylindrical and spherical-shaped samples of the sweet potato. This characteristic dimension corresponds to the diameter D for the sphere, to the edge a for the cube and the diameter = height D = h for the cylinder. Unlike the sphere where this characteristic dimension is perfect, the cubic and cylindrical shapes have space factors which are, among other things, angles and borders. By fixing the same characteristic dimensions, we end up with overlapping curves, showing identical and uniform transfers.

The separate spin evolution quantum hydrodynamics(SSE-QhD)model is used to investigate the energy behavior for ion acoustic waves in degenerate quantum *** results show that the energy flow speed decreases with spin polarization *** is also shown that it decreases with the increasing rate up to a certain range of wave number and then it goes to zero *** is observed that Bohm potential suppresses the energy flow *** is also noticed that the energy flow speed deviates from the group velocity even in the absence of Bohm potential ***,the contribution of of Bohm poential effect in spin polarized plasma reduces the extent of deviation.
