Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets play a crucial role in energy conversion and electronic *** essential magnetic properties of Nd-Fe-B magnets,particularly coercivity and remanent magnetization,are significantly infuenced by the phase characteristics and *** this work,Nd-Fe-B magnets were manufactured using vacuum induction melting(VIm),laser directed energy deposition(LDED)and laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)*** evolution and phase selection of Nd-Fe-B magnets were then clarified in *** results indicated that the solidification velocity(V)and cooling rate(R)are key factors in the phase *** terms of the VIm-casting Nd-Fe-B magnet,a large volume fraction of theα-Fe soft magnetic phase(39.7 vol.%)and Nd2Fe17Bxmetastable phase(34.7 vol.%)areformed due to the low R(2.3×10-1?C s-1),whereas only a minor fraction of the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase(5.15 vol.%)is *** the LDED-processed Nd-Fe-B deposit,although the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase also had a low value(3.4 vol.%)as the values of V(m s-1)and R(5.06×103?C s-1)increased,part of theα-Fe soft magnetic phase(31.7vol.%)is suppressed,and a higher volume of Nd2Fe17Bxmetastable phases(47.5 vol.%)*** a result,both the VIm-casting and LDED-processed Nd-Fe-B deposits exhibited poor magnetic *** contrast,employing the high values of V(>10-2m s-1)and R(1.45×106?C s-1)in the LPBF process resulted in the substantial formation of the Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic phase(55.8 vol.%)directly from the liquid,while theα-Fe soft magnetic phase and Nd2Fe17Bxmetastable phase precipitation are suppressed in the LPBF-processed Nd-Fe-B ***,crystallographic texture analysis reveals that the LPBF-processedNd-Fe-B magnets exhibit isotropic magnetic ***,the LPBF-processed Nd-Fe-B deposit,exhibiting a coercivity of 656 k A m-1,remanence of 0.79 T and maximum energy product of 71.5 k J m-3,achieved an acceptable magnetic perfor

electrochemical anodization of cast titanium alloys in oxalic acid for biomedical applications

Titanium and its alloys have numerous biomedical applications thanks to the composition and morphology of their oxide *** this study,the colorful oxide films were formed by anodizing cast Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-6Al-7Nb alloys in a 10%oxalic acid solution for 30 s at different voltages(20–80 V)of a direct current power *** force microscopy was used as an accurate tool to measure the surface roughness of thin films on the nanometer *** electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction were performed to analyze surface morphology and phase *** to the results,the produced titanium oxide layer showed high surface roughness,which increased with increasing anodizing *** impact of anodizing voltages on the color and roughness of anodized layers was *** corrosion resistance of the anodized samples was studied in simulated body fluid at pH 7.4 and a temperature of 37℃ utilizing electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and the potentiodynamic polarization *** anodized samples for both alloys at 40 V were at the optimal voltage,leading to a TiO_(2) layer formation with the best compromise between oxide thickness and corrosion ***,findings showed that TiO_(2) films produced on Ti-6Al-7Nb alloys had superior surface roughness properties compared to those of Ti-6Al-4V alloys,making them more appropriate for orthopedic *** the obtained data and the fruitful discussion,it was found that the utilized procedure is simple,low-cost,and ***,anodization in 10%oxalic acid proved a viable alternative for the surface finishing of titanium alloys for biomedical applications.

magnesium and aluminum alloys continually attract interest as lightweight structural materials for transport applications. However, joining these dissimilar alloys is very challenging. The main obstacle that hinders progress in dissimilar mg-Al joining is the formation of brittle intermetallic compounds(ImCs). As a solid-state joining technique, FSW is an excellent candidate to attenuate the deleterious ImC effects in dissimilar Al-mg joining due to the inherent low heat inputs involved in the process. However, the ImCs, namely Al_(3)mg_(2) and Al_(12)mg_(17) phases, have also been reported to form during Al-mg dissimilar FSW;their amount and thickness depend on the heat input involved;thus,the weld parameters used. Since the heat dissipated in the material during the welding process significantly affects the amount of ImCs,the heat input during FSW should be kept as low as possible to control and reduce the amount of ImCs. This review aims to critically discuss and evaluate the studies conducted in the dissimilar Al/mg FSW through a scientometric analysis and also with a focus on the strategies recently applied to enhance joint quality. The scientometric analysis showed that the main research directions in mg/Al FSW are the technological weldability of aluminum and magnesium during FSW, structural morphology, and mechanical properties of dissimilar welded joints. Considering the scope of application of the aforementioned joints, the low share of articles dealing with environmental degradation and operational cracking is surprising. This might be attributed to the need for well-developed strategies for obtaining high-quality and sustainable joints for applications. Thus, the second part of this review is conventional, focusing mainly on the new strategies for obtaining high-quality mg/Al joints. At present,the prediction of brain tumors is performed using machine Learning(mL)and Deep Learning(DL)*** various mL and DL algorithms are adapted to predict brain tumors to some range,some concerns still need enhancement,particularly accuracy,sensitivity,false positive and false negative,to improve the brain tumor prediction system ***,this work proposed an Extended Deep Learning Algorithm(EDLA)to measure performance parameters such as accuracy,sensitivity,and false positive and false negative *** addition,these iterated measures were analyzed by comparing the EDLA method with the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)way further using the SPSS tool,and respective graphical illustrations were *** results were that the mean performance measures for the proposed EDLA algorithm were calculated,and those measured were accuracy(97.665%),sensitivity(97.939%),false positive(3.012%),and false negative(3.182%)for ten *** in the case of the CNN,the algorithm means accuracy gained was 94.287%,mean sensitivity 95.612%,mean false positive 5.328%,and mean false negative 4.756%.These results show that the proposed EDLA method has outperformed existing algorithms,including CNN,and ensures symmetrically improved *** EDLA algorithm introduces novelty concerning its performance and particular activation *** proposed method will be utilized effectively in brain tumor detection in a precise and accurate *** algorithm would apply to brain tumor diagnosis and be involved in various medical diagnoses *** the quantity of dataset records is enormous,then themethod’s computation power has to be updated.

Voltage imbalance mitigation in an active distribution network using decentralized current control

Voltage imbalance(VI)is caused by the difference in connected single-phase load or generation in a low voltage distribution network(DN).VI increase in a smart distribution grid is due to the current practice of increasing single-phase distributed generators such as photovoltaic(PV)*** paper proposes a decentralized control method to mitigate VI using distributed batteries included in smart grid interfaced residential PV *** mitigate VI using the batteries in this way,five challenges must be overcome,i.e.,equalizing all battery stress currents within the DN,mitigating VI in abnormal conditions such as signal loss among bus controllers,being immune from the distorted feedback measurements,minimizing the steady-state error at different loads,and overcoming the insufficient number or capacity of the distributed batteries at the same *** fuzzy logic controllers(FLC)are proposed at each bus to overcome these five tasks based on a decentralized control *** proposed decentralized control based on FLC is compared with centralized control based on a PI *** proposed control method is tested and verified using simulations in the mATLAB/Simulink software,and the results validate the ability of the scheme to alleviate VI on a smart distribution network under both normal and abnormal conditions.

The accurate prediction of energy consumption has effective role in decision making and risk management for individuals and ***,the accurate prediction can be realized using the recent advances in machine learning and predictive *** research proposes a novel approach for energy consumption forecasting based on a new optimization algorithm and a new forecasting model consisting of a set of long short-term memory(LSTm)*** proposed optimization algorithm is used to optimize the parameters of the LSTm-based model to boost its forecasting *** optimization algorithm is based on the recently emerged dipper-throated optimization(DTO)and stochastic fractal search(SFS)algo-rithm and is referred to as dynamic *** prove the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach,five standard benchmark algorithms,namely,stochastic fractal search(SFS),dipper throated optimization(DTO),whale optimization algorithm(WOA),particle swarm optimization(PSO),and grey wolf optimization(GWO),are used to optimize the parameters of the LSTm-based model,and the results are compared with that of the proposed *** results show that the proposed DDTOSFS+LSTm can accurately forecast the energy consumption with root mean square error RmSE of 0.00013,which is the best among the recorded results of the other *** addition,statistical experiments are conducted to prove the statistical difference of the proposed *** results of these tests confirmed the expected outcomes.

The rapid advancement of wireless communication is forming a hyper-connected 5G network in which billions of linked devices generate massive amounts of *** traffic control and data forwarding functions are decoupled in software-defined networking(SDN)and allow the network to be *** switch in SDN keeps track of forwarding information in a flow *** SDN switches must search the flow table for the flow rules that match the packets to handle the incoming *** to the obvious vast quantity of data in data centres,the capacity of the flow table restricts the data plane’s forwarding ***,the SDN must handle traffic from across the whole *** flow table depends on Ternary Content Addressable memorable memory(TCAm)for storing and a quick search of regulations;it is restricted in capacity owing to its elevated cost and energy *** the flow table is abused and overflowing,the usual regulations cannot be executed *** this case,we consider lowrate flow table overflowing that causes collision flow rules to be installed and consumes excessive existing flow table capacity by delivering packets that don’t fit the flow table at a low *** study introduces machine learning techniques for detecting and categorizing low-rate collision flows table in SDN,using Feed ForwardNeuralNetwork(FFNN),K-means,and Decision Tree(DT).We generate two network topologies,Fat Tree and Simple Tree Topologies,with the mininet simulator and coupled to the OpenDayLight(ODL)*** efficiency and efficacy of the suggested algorithms are assessed using several assessment indicators such as success rate query,propagation delay,overall dropped packets,energy consumption,bandwidth usage,latency rate,and *** findings showed that the suggested technique to tackle the flow table congestion problem minimizes the number of flows while retaining the statistical consistency of the 5G *** putting the proposed flow method
