Lung cancer is a leading cause of global mortality *** detection of pulmonary tumors can significantly enhance the survival rate of ***,various Computer-Aided Diagnostic(CAD)methods have been developed to enhance the detection of pulmonary nodules with high ***,the existing method-ologies cannot obtain a high level of specificity and *** present study introduces a novel model for Lung Cancer Segmentation and Classification(LCSC),which incorporates two improved architectures,namely the improved U-Net architecture and the improved AlexNet *** LCSC model comprises two distinct *** first stage involves the utilization of an improved U-Net architecture to segment candidate nodules extracted from the lung ***,an improved AlexNet architecture is employed to classify lung *** the first stage,the proposed model demonstrates a dice accuracy of 0.855,a precision of 0.933,and a recall of 0.789 for the segmentation of candidate *** suggested improved AlexNet architecture attains 97.06%accuracy,a true positive rate of 96.36%,a true negative rate of 97.77%,a positive predictive value of 97.74%,and a negative predictive value of 96.41%for classifying pulmonary cancer as either benign or *** proposed LCSC model is tested and evaluated employing the publically available dataset furnished by the Lung Image Database Consortium and Image Database Resource Initiative(LIDC-IDRI).This proposed technique exhibits remarkable performance compared to the existing methods by using various evaluation parameters.

Estimation of monthly global solar radiation over twelve major cities of Libya

This study aims to estimate monthly averaged daily horizontal global solar *** climatological data collected at twelve major cities located across Libya’s map were used to establish 7 different empirical *** empirical coefficients of the models were calculated using the least square *** accuracy of the models was evaluated using different statistical criteria such as Taylor diagram,mean absolute percentage error,mAPE,and root mean square error,*** results indicated that the sunshine duration-based models are more accurate than air temperature-based models,and the best performance was obtained by the quadratic regression model for all twelve Libyan ***,this regression model can be used for the prediction of monthly mean horizontal global solar radiation at a specific site across Libya’s regions with minimum ***,the results of the global solar irradiance produced by this method can be used for designing solar systems applications.

Algorithms for steganography are methods of hiding data transfers in media *** machine learning architectures have been presented recently to improve stego image identification performance by using spatial information,and these methods have made it feasible to handle a wide range of problems associated with image *** with little information or low payload are used by information embedding methods,but the goal of all contemporary research is to employ high-payload images for *** address the need for both low-and high-payload images,this work provides a machine-learning approach to steganography image classification that uses Curvelet transformation to efficiently extract characteristics from both type of *** Vector machine(SVm),a commonplace classification technique,has been employed to determine whether the image is a stego or *** Wavelet Obtained Weights(WOW),Spatial Universal Wavelet Relative Distortion(S-UNIWARD),Highly Undetectable Steganography(HUGO),and minimizing the Power of Optimal Detector(miPOD)steganography techniques are used in a variety of experimental scenarios to evaluate the performance of the *** WOW at several payloads,the proposed approach proves its classification accuracy of 98.60%.It exhibits its superiority over SOTA methods.

AIm:To evaluate the effect of auraptene(AUR)treatment in forms of free and encapsulated in niosome nanoparticles by investigating the mRNA expression level of vascular endothelium growth factor(VEGF)-A and platelet-derived growth factors(PDGFs)in human retinal pigment epithelium(RPE)cell ***:Niosome nanocarriers were produced using two surfactants Span 60 and Tween *** cell line was treated with both free AUR and *** dosage of treatments was calculated using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(mTT)*** of VEGF-A and PDGF-A,PDGF-B,PDGF-C,PDGF-D genes was measured after total RNA extraction and cDNA synthesis,using real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).RESULTS:The highest entrapment efficiency(EE)was achieved by Span 60:cholesterol(1:1)with 64.3%.The half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50)of free and niosome-encapsulated AUR were 38.5 and 27.78µg/mL,*** study revealed that niosomal AUR had more gradual delivery to the ***-PCR results showed reduced expression levels of VEGF-A,PDGF-A,PDGF-B,PDGF-C,and PDGF-D after treatment with both free and niosomal ***:Niosomal formulation of Span 60:cholesterol(1:1)is an effective drug delivery approach to transfer AUR to RPE ***-A,PDGF-A,PDGF-B,PDGF-C,and PDGF-D are four angiogenic factors,inhibiting which by niosomal AUR may be effective in age-related macular degeneration.

The application of mathematical modeling to biological fluids is of utmost importance, as it has diverse applicationsin medicine. The peristaltic mechanism plays a crucial role in understanding numerous biological flows. In thispaper, we present a theoretical investigation of the double diffusion convection in the peristaltic transport of aPrandtl nanofluid through an asymmetric tapered channel under the combined action of thermal radiation andan induced magnetic field. The equations for the current flow scenario are developed, incorporating relevantassumptions, and considering the effect of viscous dissipation. The impact of thermal radiation and doublediffusion on public health is of particular interest. For instance, infrared radiation techniques have been used totreat various skin-related diseases and can also be employed as a measure of thermotherapy for some bones toenhance blood circulation, with radiation increasing blood flow by approximately 80%. To solve the governingequations, we employ a numerical method with the aid of symbolic software such as mathematica and *** velocity, magnetic force function, pressure rise, temperature, solute (species) concentration, and nanoparticlevolume fraction profiles are analytically derived and graphically displayed. The results outcomes are compared withthe findings of limiting situations for verification.

Expression and Prognostic Potential of ESR1 in Breast Cancer

This study aims to explore the potential of ESR1 as a biomarker in breast cancer(BRCA)using bioinformatics analysis *** up-regulation of ESR1 expression in BRCA was investigated using UALCAN and GEPIA2,illustrating its role in BRCA ***,analyses based on various variables such as gender,age,race,and pathological stages of BRCA patients revealed a consistent up-regulation of ESR1,emphasizing its role in the development and progression of ***,an analysis of ESR1 promoter methylation levels across various parameters revealed hypomethylation,affirming the inverse correlation between methylation and ESR1 *** analysis further indicated that overexpression of ESR1 is associated with poor overall survival,highlighting its potential as a prognostic biomarker in ***,genetic mutation analysis using cBioPortal disclosed a minor role of ESR1 genetic mutations in BRCA,with only 2.5%of genetic alterations *** STRING and DAVID tools were utilized to conduct pathway enrichment analysis,revealing diverse biological functions of ESR1 and its 10 interconnected ***,these results underscore the significance of understanding ESR1 up-regulation in BRCA and demonstrate its potential as a therapeutic,diagnostic,and prognostic biomarker.

Acute Eosinophilic Pneumonia (AEP) Due to Daptomycin: Is Autoimmunity a Clinico-Pathophysiologic Bridge to AEP?

Daptomycin induced acute eosinophilic pneumonia is a rare and potentially life threatening condition characterized by rapid respiratory failure, pulmonary infiltrates and eosinophilia. Risk factors for acute eosinophilic pneumonia include smoking, environmental irritants or inhalants and certain medications such as Daptomycin [1]. In this review of literature, we aim to explore the potential triggers for developing acute eosinophilic pneumonia in patients exposed to Daptomycin. The exact immune mechanism for daptomycin induced AEP is unknown, however the current proposed mechanism describes a T helper 2 lymphocyte response to inactivated daptomycin in the pulmonary surfactant, which leads to eosinophilia. Disordered T regulatory cell function is seen in patients with certain cancers, allergies and autoimmune conditions. We propose that patients with these underlying risk factors may be at increased risk of developing AEP after becoming exposed to Daptomycin. Understanding potential risk factors is crucial for health care workers as it allows them to identify susceptible populations, explore preventative measures and treat accordingly.

Impact of umbelliprenin-containing niosome nanoparticles on VEGF-A and CTGF genes expression in retinal pigment epithelium cells

AIm:To investigate the impact of niosome nanoparticles carrying umbelliprenin(UmB),an anti-angiogenic and anti-inflammatory plant compound,on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF-A)and connective tissue growth factor(CTGF)genes in a human retinal pigment epithelium(RPE)-like retina-derived cell ***:UmB-containing niosomes were created,optimized,and ***-like cells were treated with free UmB and UmB-containing *** IC_(50)values of the treatments were determined using an mTT *** expression of VEGF-A and CTGF was evaluated using real-time polymerase chain reaction after RNA extraction and cDNA ***’characteristics,including drug entrapment efficiency,size,dispersion index,and zeta potential were *** UmB had an IC_(50)of 96.2μg/mL,while UmB-containing niosomes had an IC_(50)of 25μg/***:Treatment with UmB-containing niosomes and free UmB resulted in a significant reduction in VEGF-A expression compared to control cells(P=0.001).Additionally,UmB-containing niosomes demonstrated a significant reduction in CTGF expression compared to control cells(P=0.05).However,there was no significant reduction in the expression of both genes in cells treated with free ***:Both free UmB and niosome-encapsulated UmB inhibits VEGF-A and CTGF genes ***,the latter demonstrates significantly greater efficacy,potentially due to the lower UmB dosage and gradual *** findings have implications for anti-angiogenesis therapeutic approaches targeting age-related macular degeneration.
