The visible-light-driven hydrogen evolution is extremely important,but the poor charge transfer capa-bility,a sluggish evolution rate of hydrogen,and severe photo-corrosion make photocatalytic hydrogen evolution *** this study,we present 1D/2D ReS_(2)-CdS hybrid nanorods for photocatalytic hy-drogen evolution,comprised of a ReS_(2)nanosheet layer grown on CdS *** found that precise control of the contents of the ReS_(2)nanosheet layer allows for manipulating the electronic structure of Re in the ReS_(2)-CdS hybrid *** ReS_(2)-CdS hybrid nanorods with optimal ReS_(2)nanosheet layer content dramatically improve photocatalytic hydrogen evolution ***,photocatalytic hydro-gen evolution activity(64.93 mmol g^(−1)h^(−1))of ReS_(2)-CdS hybrid nanorods with ReS_(2)nanosheet layers(Re/Cd atomic ratio of 0.051)is approximately 136 times higher than that of pure CdS nanorods under visible light ***,intimated coupling of the ReS_(2)nanosheet layer with CdS nanorods reduced the surface trap-site of the CdS nanorods,resulting in enhanced photocatalytic *** de-tailed optical and electrical investigations demonstrate that the optimal ReS_(2)nanosheet layer contents in the ReS_(2)-CdS hybrid nanorods can provide improved charge transfer capability,catalytic activity,and light absorption *** study sheds light on the development of photocatalysts for highly efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) associated hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) incidence is increasing worldwide, paralleling the obesity epidemic. Although most cases are associated with cirrhosis, HCC can occur without cirrhosis in NAFLD. Diabetes and obesity are associated risk factors for HCC in patients. Given the sheer magnitude of the underlying risk factors(diabetes, obesity, non-cirrhotic NAFLD) screening for HCC in the non-cirrhotic population is not recommended. Optimal screening strategies in NAFLD cirrhosis are not completely elucidated with Ultrasound having significant limitations in detection of liver lesions in the presence of obesity and steatosis. Consequently NAFLD-HCC is more often diagnosed at a later stage with larger tumors and reduced opportunities for curative treatments as opposed to HCC in other causes of cirrhosis. When HCC is found at a curative stage treatments including liver transplantation, resection and loco-regional therapies are associated with good results similar to that seen in HCV-HCC. Future strategies under study include the use of chemopreventive and antioxidant agents to reduce development of cirrhosis and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH). Strategies to reverse NASH via weight loss, control of associated conditions like diabetes are key strategies in reducing the increasing incidence of NASH-HCC. Novel therapeutic agents for NASH are in trials and if successful in achieving reversal of NASH will be an important strategy in reducing NAFLD-HCC.

Theoretical investigation of nonlinear electrostatic ion-acoustic cnoidal waves(IACWs) is presented in magnetized electron–positron–ion plasma with nonextensive electrons and maxwellian positrons. Using reductive perturbation technique, Korteweg–de Vries equation is derived and its cnoidal wave solution is analyzed. For given plasma parameters, our model supports only positive potential(compressive) IACW structures. The effect of relevant plasma parameters(viz., nonextensive parameter q, positron concentration p, temperature ratio σ,obliqueness l3) on the characteristics of IACWs is discussed in detail.

Voice classification is important in creating more intelligent systems that help with student exams,identifying criminals,and security *** main aim of the research is to develop a system able to predicate and classify gender,age,and ***,a newsystem calledClassifyingVoice Gender,Age,and Accent(CVGAA)is *** and bagging algorithms are designed to improve voice recognition systems that incorporate sensory voice features such as rhythm-based features used to train the device to distinguish between the two gender *** has high precision compared to other algorithms used in this problem,as the adaptive backpropagation algorithm had an accuracy of 98%and the Bagging algorithm had an accuracy of 98.10%in the gender identification *** has the best accuracy among all algorithms,with 55.39%accuracy in the voice common dataset and age classification and accent accuracy in a speech accent of 78.94%.

Underwater acoustic sensor network(UASN)refers to a procedure that promotes a broad spectrum of aquatic *** can be practically applied in seismic checking,ocean mine identification,resource exploration,pollution checking,and disaster *** confronts many difficulties and issues,such as low bandwidth,node movements,propagation delay,3D arrangement,energy limitation,and high-cost production and arrangement costs caused by antagonistic underwater *** wireless sensor networks(UWSNs)are considered a major issue being encountered in energy management because of the limited battery power of their ***,the harsh underwater environment requires vendors to design and deploy energy-hungry devices to fulfil the communication requirements and maintain an acceptable quality of ***,increased transmission power levels result in higher channel interference,thereby increasing packet *** the facts mentioned above,this research presents a controlled transmission power-based sparsity-aware energy-efficient clustering in *** contributions of this technique is ***,it uses the adaptive power control mechanism to utilize the sensor nodes’battery and reduce channel interference ***,thresholds are defined to ensure successful ***,clustering can be implemented in dense areas to decrease the repetitive transmission that ultimately affects the energy consumption of nodes and interference ***,mobile sinks are deployed to gather information locally to achieve the previously mentioned *** suggested protocol is meticulously examined through extensive simulations and is validated through comparison with other advanced UWSN *** show that the suggested protocol outperforms other procedures in terms of network lifetime and packet delivery ratio.

Water in diesel nano-emulsion (WiDNE) due to their nano size, kinetically stable gives its beneficial in commercial and environmental aspects. However, the capability of this fuel strongly depends on the method of preparation, stability and their physic-chemical properties. Central composite design (CCD) method was used to optimize variable interactions in order to obtain maximum stability. methodology RSm method with six independent variables was selected in order to understand the impacts on droplet size. The response surface and 3D plots of the quadratic polynomial model were created for studying the combination effect on response. Dynamic light scattering DLS technique was used for measuring of droplet sizes. The analysis result by ANOVA was with 95% confidence displaying F value model was 52.82. The results displayed model was fulfilled with the assumptions of ANOVA. This study has relied on Design Expert software to locate the optimum droplet size situations. The measured diameter is 26 nm, with 0.0297 errors between actual conditions and measured value. The optimum blend properties of prepared WiDNE fuel were compared with conventional diesel. Improvements in physical properties were observed in presence of water in WiDNE.

Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are the most intense and powerful explosions in the universe. Based on their observed duration, they are traditionally divided into long bursts whose observed duration equals or exceeds 2 s, and short bursts whose observed duration is less than 2 s. Several GRB energy and luminosity correlations have been discovered for long gamma-ray bursts. Two important correlations are the Amati relation and the Yonetoku relation. The Amati relation is a correlation between the intrinsic peak energy, Ep,i, obtained from the νFν spectrum and the equivalent isotropic energy, Eiso, while the Yonetoku relation is a correlation between Ep,i and the peak isotropic luminosity, Liso. In this paper, we use a recent data sample that includes both long and short GRBs to compare these two correlations for the two groups of bursts. We also compare the Eiso-Liso plane for these two types of bursts. Our results indicate that both long and short bursts adhere to these two correlations but with different normalizations. We also find that the Eiso-Liso plane is similar for both types of GRBs but is shifted to lower values of Eiso for short GRBs.

Objectives:Effective and efficient communication is a core element in healthcare systems,especially between healthcare providers and *** study aimed to identify communication barriers be-tween nurses and patients in primary healthcare centers in ***:This is a cross-sectional study conducted across primary healthcare centers in *** hundred and two patients were recruited using convenience sampling.A self-administered question-naire comprising 29 items on communication barriers was ***:A total of 402 patients consented to *** majority of participants reported the following statements had large effects on communication:“shortage in the number of nurses compared to the large number of patients”(254/401,63.3%),“lack of desire of nurse to communicate with patients”(246/402,61.2%),and“negative attitude of the nurse toward the patient”(238/401,59.4%).Further,“difference in language between nurses and patients,”“lack of self-confidence by nurses,”and“nurses overwhelmed by work”were ranked as top three statements with a significant influence on commu-nication between nurses and ***:Communication between healthcare providers and patients is pivotal for an optimal healthcare *** on the findings of this study and the literature,we recommend formal training of health care workers in improving communication skills and including this not only in medical cur-riculum but also in the form of continuing medical education(CmEs)1.

Heat Dissipation modeling of <i>In-Situ</i>Conversion Process of Oil Shale

In-situ conversion of process of oil shale has been technically proven as a pilot field project. Gradually heating the reservoir by using subsurface electric heaters converts the oil shale reservoir kerogen into oil, gas and other producible components. This process also enhances the internal energy of the porous media as well as the subsurface fluid. Heat is transmitted in the reservoir within each fluid by different processes i.e. , due to the flow of fluid called advective process, and due to molecular diffusion where dispersive and diffusive processes take place. Heat transfer through conduction and convection mechanisms in the porous media are modeled mathematically and numerically incorporating the advective, dispersive and diffusive processes in the reservoir. The results show the production of oil and gas as a result of conversion of kerogen due to modeled heat dissipation.

Background:Following recent findings from our group that curcumin preconditioning augments the therapeutic efficacy of adipose-derived stem cells in the healing of diabetic wounds in rats,we aimed to investigate the regenerative effects of curcumin preconditioned adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells(ASCs)for better recovery of acid inflicted burns in this ***:ASCs were preconditioned with 5μm curcumin for 24 hours and assessed for proliferation,migration,paracrine release potential and gene expression comparative to naive ***,the healing capacity of curcumin preconditioned ASCs(Cur-ASCs)versus naive ASCs was examined using acidic wounds in *** this,acid inflicted burns of 20 mm in diameter were made on the back of male Wistar ***,2×10^(6) cells of Cur-ASCs and naive ASCs were intradermally injected in the wound periphery(n=6)for comparison with an untreated saline ***-transplantation,wounds were macroscopically analysed and photographed to evaluate the percentage of wound closure and period of *** wound biopsies were excised and used for histological evaluation and expression analysis of wound healing markers at molecular level by quantitative PCR and western ***:We found that Cur-ASCs exhibited greater proliferation,migration and paracrine potential in ***,Cur-ASCs showed more effective recovery than naive ASCs as exhibited by gross morphology,faster wound closure and earlier ***’s trichrome and hematoxylin and eosin staining demonstrated the improved architecture of the healing burns,as evidenced by reduced infiltration of inflammatory cells,compact collagen and marked granulation in Cur-ASC treated *** these findings,molecular assessment showed significantly reduced expressions of pro-inflammatory factors(interleukin-1 beta,interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor alpha)a with striking upsurge of an oxidative marker(superoxide dismutase 1),p
