BACKGROUnD The sphericity of the fem.ral head is a m.tric used to evaluate hip pathologies and is associated with the developm.nt of osteoarthritis and fem.ral-acetabular *** To analyze the three-dim.nsional asphericity of the fem.ral head of asym.tom.tic pediatric *** hypothesized that fem.ral head asphericity will vary significantly between m.le and fem.le pediatric hips and increase with age in both *** Com.uted tom.graphy scans were obtained on 158 children and adolescents from.a single institution in the United States(8-18 years;50%m.le)without hip *** fem.ral m.asurem.nts including the fem.ral head diam.ter,fem.ral head volum.,residual volum.,asphericity index,and local diam.ter difference were used to evaluate fem.ral head *** In both sexes,the residual volum. increased by age(Pnificantly sm.ller fem.ral head size in older ages(>13 years)in fem.les,there were no sex-differences in residual volum. and aspherity *** were no age-related changes in m.an diam.ter difference in both sexes(P=0.07)with no significant sex-differences across different age groups(P=0.06).In contrast,there were significant increases in local aspherity(m.xim.m.diam.ter difference)across whole surface of the fem.ral head and all quadrants except the inferior regions in m.les(P=0.03).There were no sex-differences in m.xim.m.diam.ter difference at any regions and age group(P>0.05).Increased alpha angle was only correlated to increased m.an diam.ter difference across overall surface of the fem.ral head(P=0.024).COnCLUSIOn There is a substantial localized asphericity in asym.tom.tic hips which increases with age *** 2D m.asured alpha angle can capture overall asphericity of the fem.ral head,it m.y not be sensitive enough to represent regional asphericity patterns.

Background:no studies have docum.nted long-term.trends in aboveground biom.ss(AGB)for m.xed-dipterocarp forests(m.F),the dom.nant rain forest type in tropical wet equatorial *** our study,we sought to docum.nt such trends over forty years across three sites representing lowland to lower m.ntane ***:To do this,we established fifty 100 m.25 m.plots in 1978 across three sites sam.led along an elevation gradient,identified as m.ture old-growth *** m.asured trees for diam.ter at breast height that we identified to species and *** took wood sam.les to calculate species wood-specific *** re-m.asured plots in 1998 and again in ***:We show standing AGB for all sites com.ined to be 517.52 m.·ha^(-1)in 1978,but this declined by 17%over 40 years to 430.11 m.·ha^(-1).no differences exist am.ng sites in AGB prim.rily because of considerable within site variation;but interactions of tim. with site show declines across sites were not uniform.one rem.ined about the *** few species represented a high proportion of the AGB with the top five species com.rising between 34%and 65%,depending upon site and year *** species,m.sua nagassarium.represented a disproportionately large am.unt of AGB and decline over tim.,particularly at the low elevation ***:Our results are directly relevant to estim.ting AGB and standing carbon sequestered in *** study is the first to dem.nstrate varying but overall,declining trends in am.unts of AGB am.ng forests m.king predictions of biom.ss and standing carbon in m.F difficult over wide regions.

The study of m.dified RnA known as epitranscriptom.cs has becom. increasingly relevant in our understanding of disease-m.difying m.chanism.. m.thylation of n6 adenosine(m.A) and C5 cytosine(m.C) bases occur on m.nAs, tRnA, m.-tRnA, and rRnA species as well as non-coding RnAs. With em.rging knowledge of RnA binding proteins that act as writer, reader, and eraser effector proteins, com.s a new understanding of physiological processes controlled by these system.. Such processes when spatiotem.orally disrupted within cellular nanodom.ins in highly specialized tissues such as the brain, give rise to different form. of disease. In this review, we discuss accum.lating evidence that changes in the m.A and m.C m.thylation system. contribute to neurocognitive disorders. Early studies first identified m.tations within Fm.1 to cause intellectual disability Fragile X syndrom.s several years before Fm.1 was identified as an m.A RnA reader protein. Subsequently, fam.lial m.tations within the m.A writer gene m.TTL5, m.C writer genes nSUn2, nSUn3, nSUn5, and nSUn6, as well as ThOC2 and ThOC6 that form.a protein com.lex with the m.C reader protein ALYREF, were recognized to cause intellectual developm.nt disorders. Sim.larly, differences in expression of the m.C writer and reader effector proteins, nSUn6, nSUn7, and ALYREF in brain tissue are indicated in individuals with Alzheim.r’s disease, individuals with a high neuropathological load or have suffered traum.tic brain injury. Likewise, an abundance of m.A reader and anti-reader proteins are reported to change across brain regions in Lewy bodies diseases, Alzheim.r’s disease, and individuals with high cognitive reserve. m.A-m.dified RnAs are also reported significantly m.re abundant in dem.ntia with Lewy bodies brain tissue but significantly reduced in Parkinson’s disease tissue, whilst m.dified RnAs are m.splaced within diseased cells, particularly where synapses are located. This paper analyzes neighborhood conflicts arising from.the condom.nium.property regim.,under which social housing prom.ted by m.xican governm.nt institutions and private developers is *** regim. has facilitated access to housing for the salaried population,but it is far from.contributing to the attainm.nt of the right to *** research takes as case studies housing com.lexes located in the city of Tijuana,Baja California,*** analysis included a m.xed ***,sim.lar case studies were analyzed;secondly,a review of the Condom.nium.Property Regim. Law was carried out in order to understand its *** view of the pandem.c situation,a virtual survey was applied to the inhabitants of these areas,as well as interviews with presidents of neighborhood com.ittees of these *** the above,it was found that this form.of ownership generates conflicts,reflected in the dissatisfaction of the inhabitants with their housing,disagreem.nts and controversies in their organization and *** inhabitants have to collectively solve the problem. they face,related to the m.intenance and use of com.on areas,insecurity,and cleanliness,am.ng *** addition,there is a lack of support from.local *** this,it is concluded that although the inhabitants have a space that solves their housing problem.it does not m.nage to be a space that adequately guarantees their right to housing.

m.m.ry loss and dem.ntia are m.jor public health concerns with a substantial econom.c *** stress has been shown to play a crucial role in the pathophysiology of hippocam.al dam.ge-induced m.m.ry *** investigate whether the antioxidant and anti-inflam.atory com.ound vanillyla cetone(zingerone) can protect against hippocam.al dam.ge and m.m.ry loss induced by cadm.um.chloride(CdCl_(2)) adm.nistration in rats,we explo red the potential involvem.nt of the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(nrf2) signaling pathway,which is known to m.dulate oxidative stress and *** healt hy m.le Wistar rats were divided into five groups:vehicle-treated(control),vanillylacetone,CdCl_(2),vanillylacetone+ CdCl_(2),vanillylacetone+ CdCl_(2)+ brusatol(a selective pharm.cological n rf2inhibitor) *** effectively attenuated CdCl_(2)-induced dam.ge in the dental gyrus of the hippocam.us and im.roved the m.m.ry function assessed by the m.rris Water m.ze ***,vanillylacetone m.rkedly decreased the hippocam.al tissue levels of inflam.atory biom.rkers(interleukin-6,tum.r necrosis factor-α,intracellular cell adhesive m.lecules) and apoptosis biom.rkers(Bax and cleaved caspase-3).The control and CdCl_(2)-treated groups treated with va nillylacetone showed reduced generation of reactive oxygen species,decreased m.londialdehyde levels,and increased superoxide dism.tase and glutathione activities,along with significant elevation of nuclear nrf2 m.nA and protein expression in hippocam.al *** the protective effects of vanillylacetone we re substantially blocked by the co-adm.nistration of brusatol(a selective n rf2 inhibitor).Va nillylacetone m.tigated hippocam.al dam.ge and m.m.ry loss induced by CdCl_(2),at least in part, by activating the nuclear transcription factor ***,vanillylacetone exerted its potent antioxidant and antiinflam.atory actions.

In recent years,graphene field-effect-transistors(GFETs)have dem.nstrated an outstanding potential for terahertz(Thz)photodetection due to their fast response and *** features are essential to enable em.rging Thz applications,including 6G wireless com.unications,quantum.inform.tion,bioim.ging and ***,the overall perform.nce of these photodetectors m.y be utterly com.rom.sed by the im.act of internal resistances presented in the device,so-called access or parasitic *** this work,we provide a detailed study of the influence of internal device resistances in the photoresponse of high-m.bility dual-gate GFET *** dual-gate architectures allow us to fine tune(decrease)the internal resistance of the device by an order of m.gnitude and consequently dem.nstrate an im.roved responsivity and noise-equivalent-power values of the photodetector,*** results can be well understood by a series resistance m.del,as shown by the excellent agreem.nt found between the experim.ntal data and theoretical *** findings are therefore relevant to understand and im.rove the overall perform.nce of existing high-m.bility graphene photodetectors.

Purpose:The present work exam.nes the associations of dietary habits,sedentarism.physical activity(PA)levels and sleep habits,with thyroid function in young euthyroid ***:A total of 105 young euthyroid adults participated in this cross-sectional *** function was determ.ned in fasting conditions(>6 h).Dietary habits were m.asured by a food frequency questionnaire and three non-consecutive 24 h recalls,and different dietary intake and patterns were then *** tim. spent in sedentary,PA levels and sleep habits were objectively m.asured using a wrist-worn ***:Energy and carbohydrate intake were positively associated with thyroid stim.lating horm.ne(TSh)(β=0.222;R^(2)=0.102;P=0.022 andβ=0.425;R^(2)=0.129;P=0.007,respectively)whereas fat intake was negatively associated with TSh(β=-0.428;R^(2)=0.137;P=0.004).Energy intake was also positively associated with free triiodothyronine(β=0.277;R^(2)=0.137;P=0.004).Further,adherence to the m.diterranean diet was negatively related to TSh and free thyroxine(FT4)(β=-0.221;R^(2)=0.113;P=0.020 andβ=-0.268;R^(2)=0.071;P=0.007,respectively).Vigorous-intensity and overall PA were negatively associated with FT4(β=-0.227;R^(2)=0.052;P=0.022 andβ=-0.204;R^(2)=0.042;P=0.041,respectively).In contrast,no associations were found between sleep param.ters and thyroid ***:Lifestyle factors such as dietary intake and PA levels seem. to be related to thyroid function even in young euthyroid adults.

The com.lete and incom.lete fusion cross sections for ^(6)Li+^(209)Bi were m.asured using the in-beam.-ray m.thod around the Coulom. *** cross sections of(deuteron captured)incom.lete fusion(ICF)products were re-quantified experim.ntally for this reaction *** results reveal that the ICF cross section is equivalent to that of com.lete fusion(CF)above the Coulom. barrier and dom.nant near or below the Coulom. barrier.A theoretical calculation based on the continuum.discretized coupled channel(CDCC)m.thod was perform.d for the aforem.ntioned CF and ICF cross sections;the result is consistent with the *** universal fusion function(UFF)was also com.ared with the m.asured CF cross section for different barrier param.ters,dem.nstrating that the CF suppression factor is significantly influenced by the choice of potential,which can reflect both dynam.c and static effects of breakup on the fusion process.
