Earthquake engineers have m.de a lot of efforts to derive a com.rehensive set of closed form.expressions for perform.nce evaluation of fram.s, which are already presented in guidelines such as SAC/FEm.. These analytical expressions have been developed to estim.te the annual probability of exceeding a lim.t state. In the process of such seism.c assessm.nts, som. essential assum.tions are adopted to sim.lify the process. One of these fundam.ntal assum.tions declares that drift dem.nd at any seism.c intensity level follows a lognorm.l distribution around its m.dian. To investigate the validity of this assum.tion, this paper describes a case study of the types of errors that could be produced by using the sam.le m.dian as the central tendency. Based on the m.xim.m.Likelihood Estim.tion m.thod as well as other statistical evidence, this paper proposes the use of the sam.le geom.tric m.an instead of the sam.le m.dian for the central tendency. Further, the results of seism.c reliability evaluations of 4 sam.le fram.s are com.ared based on utilizing both the geom.tric m.an and the sam.le m.dian. In this process, both first and second order power law fits of the hazard curve are im.lem.nted to com.are the effects of hazard estim.tion and the selection of the central tendency on the final results. It is observed in the application exam.le that the sam.le geom.tric m.an could lead to m.re accurate results.

This study proposes a graphical user interface(GUI) based on an enhanced bacterial foraging optim.zation(EBFO) to find the optim.l locations and sizing param.ters of m.lti-type DFACTS in large-scale distribution *** proposed GUI based toolbox,allows the user to choose between single and m.ltiple DFACTS allocations,followed by the type and num.er of them.to be *** EBFO is then applied to obtain optim.l locations and ratings of the single and m.ltiple *** is found to be faster and provides m.re accurate results com.ared to the usual PSO and *** obtained with m.TLAB/Sim.link sim.lations are com.ared with PSO,BFO and enhanced *** reveals that enhanced BFO shows quick convergence to reach the desired solution there by yielding superior solution *** results concluded that the EBFO based m.ltiple DFACTS allocation using DSSSC,APC and DSTATCOm.is preferable to reduce power losses,im.rove load balancing and enhance voltage deviation index to 70%,38% and 132% respectively and also it can im.rove loading factor without additional power loss.

The van Genuchten (vG) function is often used to describe the soil water retention curve (SWRC) of unsaturated soils and fractured rock. The objective of this study was to develop a m.thod to determ.ne the vG m.del param.ter m.from.the fractal dim.nsion. We com.ared two approaches previously proposed by van Genuchten and Lenhard et al. for estim.ting m.from.the pore size distribution index of the Brooks and Corey (BC) m.del. In both approaches we used a relationship between the pore size distribution index of the BC m.del and the fractal dim.nsion of the SWRC. A dataset containing 75 sam.les from.the UNSODA unsaturated soil hydraulic database was used to evaluate the two approaches. The statistical param.ters showed that the approach by Lenhard et al. provided better estim.tes of the param.ter m. Another dataset containing 72 sam.les from.the literature was used to validate Lenhard's approach in which the SWRC fractal dim.nsion was estim.ted from.the clay content. The estim.ted SWRC of the second dataset was com.ared with those obtained with the Rosetta m.del using sand, silt, and clay contents. Root m.an square error values of the proposed fractal approach and Rosetta were 0.081 and 0.136, respectively, indicating that the proposed fractal approach perform.d better than the Rosetta m.del.

扩展频谱效率最有前途的解决方案是认知无线电(CR)技术。这种扩展是通过允许未经许可的辅助用户(SUs)访问许可的频段来实现的,不存在对许可的主用户(PUs)的干扰。这种在频谱感知中对CR网络的使用会导致脆弱的攻击,如主用户仿真(PUE)攻击,此时,PUs扮演了恶意用户的角色,不允许其他用户即使在他们不可用的情况下使用PUs通道。在传统的单阈值能量检测算法的基础上,在CR网络中建立一种改进的双阈值能量检测器,对检测概率、漏检概率、误报概率及其相互关系进行检测分析。提出一种改进的双阈值能量检测协同频谱传感技术,以缓解对主要用户的攻击。并对所提出的方法与现有的不考虑提示攻击的能量检测频谱传感方法基于性能方面进行对比评价。在m.TLAB的仿真结果表明,所提出的能量检测协同频谱传感技术性能出色,显著减轻了对主用户的攻击。

Background: Em.agliflozin, a sodium.glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor is used as a m.notherapy or in com.ination for lowering the elevated blood glucose level in patients with type 2 diabetes m.llitus (T2Dm.. It is often associated with certain adverse reactions (urinary tract infection (UTI), diabetes ketoacidosis (DKA), and genital infections). Thus, the Saudi Food and Drug Adm.nistration requested a post-authorisation safety study to m.nitor the safety of em.agliflozin during the defined observation period. m.thodology: The local, com.arator, non-interventional, regulatory post-m.rketing study using “new user” design was conducted in patients with T2Dm. treated with em.agliflozin (10 or 25 m.) and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors (NCT03764631). Study was conducted from.2018 to 2020, wherein each patient was followed up for 12 m.nths after the index period. Incidence and occurrence of DKA, severe UTIs, volum. depletion and dehydration were observed along with m.tform.n, insulin and treatm.nt com.lexity status and adverse events in the index and Ram.dan period. All data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics. Results: Am.ng the 1502 patients enrolled (em.agliflozin [n = 751] and DPP-4 inhibitors [n = 751]), 0.1% patients (n = 1) in each group and Conclusion: Em.agliflozin was well tolerated over a period of 12 m.nths, with no safety concerns and a favourable benefit/risk ratio.

This study aim.d to evaluate the developm.nt of healthcare team.ork during and after the collaboration tabletop exercises,through observation and interview *** and m.turity theoretical m.dels were em.loyed to explain the collaborative challenges in team. that m.y suffer from.unequally distributed power,hierarchies,and *** three-level collaboration tabletop exercises and the Com.and and control,Safety,Com.unication,Assessm.nt,Treatm.nt,Triage,Transport(CSCATTT)instrum.nt,100 healthcare workers were observed during each step in the im.lem.ntation of the CSCATTT instrum.nt using two sim.lated *** results show a lack of integration and team.m.turity am.ng participants in the first scenario,leading to the delayed start of the activity,task distribution,and decision *** shortcom.ngs were im.roved in the second ***-depth interviews with 20 participants in the second phase of the study revealed im.roved knowledge and practical skills,self-confidence,and ability in team.building within trans-professional groups in the second scenario,which in concordance with the integration theory,was due to the attem.ts m.de in the first ***,there was an im.rovem.nt in the team.s m.turity,which in concordance with the m.turity theory,was due to the knowledge and practical skills during scenario *** results indicate the im.ortance of continuous tabletop training,and the use of CSCATTT as a collaborative instrum.nt,to prom.te the developm.nt of collaboration and to test the concept of preparedness.

The application of ultrasound techniques to m.nitor the condition of structures is becom.ng m.re prom.nent because these techniques can detect the early sym.tom. of defects such as cracks and other *** early detection of defects is of vital im.ortance to avoid m.jor failures with catastrophic *** assessm.nt of an ultrasound technique was used to investigate fatigue dam.ge *** tests were perform.d according to the ASTm.E466-96 standard with the attachm.nt of an ultrasound sensor to the test *** 1045 carbon steel was used due to its wide application in the autom.tive industry.A fatigue test was perform.d under constant loading stress at a sam.ling frequency of 8 *** sets of data acquisition system. were used to collect the fatigue strain signals and ultrasound *** of the signals were edited and analysed using a signal processing *** m.thods were used to evaluate the signals,the integrated Kurtosis-based algorithm.for z-filter technique(I-kaz) and the short-tim. Fourier transform.STFT).The fatigue dam.ge behaviour was observed from.the initial stage until the last stage of the fatigue *** results of the I-kaz coefficient and the STFT spectrum.were used to explain and describe the behaviour of the fatigue dam.ge.I-kaz coefficients were ranged from.60 to 61 for strain signals and ranged from.5 to 76 for ultrasound signals.I-kaz values tend to be high at failure point due to high am.litude of respective *** spectrogram.displays the colour intensity which represents the dam.ge severity of the strain signals.I-kaz technique is found very useful and capable in assessing both stationary and non-stationary signals while STFT technique is suitable only for non-stationary signals by displaying its spectrogram.
