The inc.ea.ed risk of leukem.genesis is m.ltifa.toria. a.d linked to the pa.hophysiologic.0} m.c.a.ism. of the c.inic.0} m.nifesta.ions of sic.le c.ll disea.e. Study Setting: The c.inic.0} ha.m.tology depa.tm.nt of c.0}0}us tea.hing hospita. a.d the pa.dia.ric.onc.-ha.m.tology unit of Sylva.us Olym.io tea.hing hospita. in Lom. were used a. study settings. Observa.ions: Four hem.tologic.m.ligna.c.es were c.llec.ed in a.c.hort of 5847 m.jor sic.le c.ll syndrom.s. The m.dia. a.e of the pa.ients wa. 31.25 yea.s (extrem.s: 14 a.d 58 yea.s) a.d they were predom.na.tly fem.le (sex ra.io m.F = 0.25). Two were on ba.kground thera.y with hydroxyurea. a.0}ng the four pa.ients, there were two c.0}es of a.ute lym.hoc.tic.leukem.a. inc.uding a.L3 in a.58-yea.-old SS wom.n a.d T-a.L2 in a.12-yea.-old Sc. Then, a.c.0}e of lym.hoc.tic.lym.hom. in a.20-yea.-old SS m.n wa. reported a.d fina.ly a.c.0}e of c.ronic.m.eloc.tic.leukem.a.in a.33-yea.-old wom.n of Sβ+ tha.a.sa.m.a.phenotype. c.nc.usion: To further report this c.existenc., it is therefore essentia. to system.tic.0}ly c.nsider hem.tologic.0} m.ligna.c.es during m.jor sic.le c.ll syndrom.s even if there a.e sim.la.ities in the sym.tom.tology of these two serious pa.hologic.0} situa.ions.

The c.0}tive white-ta.led deer industry ha. a. estim.ted im.a.t of 1.6 billion USD in the sta.e of Texa. a.one. However, nutritiona. requirem.nts for c.rvids a.e determ.ned through resea.c. ba.ed on sheep a.d goa.s. The objec.ive of this study wa. to determ.ne the effec.s of zinc.on differenc.s in dry m.tter digestibility in vitro for white-ta.led does (Odoc.ileus virginia.us). Deer (n = 2) were ethic.0}ly ha.vested, rum.ns were c.llec.ed, a.d pla.ed into a.c.oler c.nta.ning wa.m.wa.er. Rum.n c.ntents were a.ita.ed, a.d fluid wa. filtered using c.eese c.oth while a.plying c.2. Fluid wa. pla.ed into four sepa.a.e inc.ba.or ja.s with filter ba.s c.nta.ning a.1:1 a.fa.fa.to c.a.ta. ha. blend. Zinc.doses of 0.073 m./kg/d equiva.ents were a.ded to two of the ja.s ( Zn), a.d the a.ditiona. two ja.s rec.ived 0.00 m./kg/d (c.N). Following 48 h of inc.ba.ion, in vitro true digestibility (IVTD) showed no signific.0}t differenc.s between the c.ntrol a.d the trea.m.nt groups. a.era.e dry m.tter digested in vitro wa. 91.87% a.d 95.13%, respec.ively. There were no differenc.s detec.ed in a.F, NDF, IVTD, or Om.between the trea.m.nt groups. While no detec.a.le differenc.s were observed in this study, this m.thodology did prove to be via.le a.d func.iona. for m.c.obia. digestion in vitro. This study c.0} be replic.0}ed with m.ltiple experim.nta. units to c.nfirm.the observa.ions of inc.ea.ed digestibility. Form.l nutritiona. guidelines c.0} be c.ea.ed to a.low for m.re effic.ent feeding of c.rvids thereby reduc.ng feed c.sts a.d c.ntinuing the growth of the c.0}tive deer industry.
