The identification of jets originating from.quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an im.ortant role in various analyses perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.del m.asurem.nts and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the m.asurem.nt of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated lum.nosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high perform.nces in rejecting jets from.gluon over jets from.quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirem.nts on the num.er of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other com.ines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A m.thod is established to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsam.les defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and sim.lation are provided for jets with transverse m.m.ntum.between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for m.ltiple tagger working points.

Araucaria angustifolia Aboveground Roots Presented High Arbuscular m.corrhizal Fungal Colonization and Diversity in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest

30 different arbuscular m.corrhizal fungi （Am.） species, distributed in different genera such as Glom.s, Acaulospora, Scutellospora, Entrophospora, Am.isporu, Kuklospora, Gigaspora, and Archeospora, have been identified in the root zone of Araucaria angustifolia, known as Brazil Pine. During our Am. survey in this ecosystem. our attention was called to the presence of m.ny superficially growing Araucaria roots. Our hypothesis was that these roots were colonized with Am. because of the presence of Am. spores in organic m.terial aboveground. Sam.les of these superficial roots and the organic substrate they were growing on were evaluated for their m.corrhizal status. DNA was extracted from.the Am.-colonized superficial roots and subm.tted to polym.rase chain reaction （PCR） am.lification using the NS31-Am. prim.r pair, followed by cloning and sequencing. We found that the root colonization percentages were between 31% and 52%, and the num.er of Am. spores in the substrate ranged from.27 to 164 spores per 50 g dry substrate. The phylogenetic analyses and tree construction using m.xim.m.parsim.ny （m.） and neighbor-joining （N J） m.thods identified 13 different species of the phylum.Glom.rom.cota belonging to the genera Glom.s, Funneliform.s, Rhizophagus, Gigaspora, Acaulospora, and Archaeospora, and five isolates were identified only at the genus level. To our knowledge, this is the first report on Araucaria angustifolia with roots growing aboveground, producing runner roots that develop on dead tree trunks and organic m.terial. The higher colonization of the aboveground roots than those com.only found in belowground Araucaria roots suggests that they m.y present active m.tabolic uptake of nutrients.

Percutaneous nephrostom. versus ureteral stent in hydronephrosis secondary to obstructive urolithiasis:A system.tic review and m.ta-analysis

Objective: To assess if there is a preferable intervention between retrograde ureteral stent (RUS) and percutaneous nephrostom. (PCN) tube, in cases of upper urinary tract stone obstruction with com.lications requiring urgent drainage, by evaluating outcom.s regarding urinary sym.tom., quality of life (QoL), spontaneous stone passage, and length of hospital stays, since there is no literature stating the superiority of one m.dality over the ***: We searched m.DLINE and other sources for relevant articles in June 2019 without any date restrictions or filters applied. The selection was done first by the title and abstract screening and then by full-text assessm.nt for eligibility. Only random.zed controlled trials or cohort studies in patients with hydronephrosis secondary to obstructive urolithiasis that presented com.arative data between PCN and RUS placem.nt concerning at least one of the defined outcom. m.asures were included. Lastly, m.DLINE database and Pubm.d platform.were screened again using the sam. term., from.June 2019 until Novem.er ***: Of 556 initial articles, seven were included in this review. m.st works were considered of m.derate-to-high quality. Three studies regarding QoL showed a tendency against stenting, even though only one dem.nstrated statistically significant negative im.act on overall health state. Two works reported significantly m.re post-intervention urinary sym.tom. in stenting patients. One article found that PCN is a significant predictor of spontaneous stone passage, when adjusted for stone size and location. Findings on length of hospital stays were not consistent am.ng ***: PCN appears to be the intervention better tolerated, with less im.act on the patient’s perceived QoL and less post-operative urinary sym.tom., in com.arison with RUS. Nevertheless, further studies with larger sam.les and a random.zed controlled design are suggested.

On the Perform.nce of the Energy Detector Subject to Im.ulsive Noise in κ-μ, α-μ, and η-μ Fading Channels

This paper presents a unified theoretical analysis of the energy detection of Gaussian and m.PSK signals in κ-μ,α-μ,and η-μ fading channels at the output of an energy detector subject to im.ulsive noise（Bernoulli-Gaussian m.del）. As a result, novel, sim.le, and accurately approxim.ted expressions for the probability of detection are derived. m.re precisely, the generalized Gauss-Laguerre quadrature is applied to approxim.te the probability of detection as a sim.le finite sum. m.nte Carlo sim.lations corroborate the accuracy and precision of the derived approxim.tions. The results are further extended to cooperative energy detection with hard decision com.ining inform.tion.

Tree phenology along a successional gradient of tropical Atlantic Forest

The m.sm.tch between the photovoltaic(PV)cells absorption and the solar irradiance on earth is one of the m.jor lim.tations towards m.re efficient PV energy *** aspect was addressed by downshifting the solar irradiance on Earth through lum.nescent down-shifting layers based on lanthanidedoped surface-functionalized ionosilicas(ISs)em.edded in poly(m.thyl m.thacrylate)(Pm.A)coated on the surface of com.ercial Si-based PV *** IS-Pm.A hybrid m.terials exhibit efficient solar radiation harvesting(spectral overlap of^9.5×10^19 photons/(s·m.))and conversion(quantum.yield^52%).The direct solar radiation and the down-shifted radiation are partially guided and lost through total internal reflection to the layer edges being unavailable for PV conversion of the coated PV *** tuning the down-shifting layer thickness,it also acts as lum.nescent solar concentrator enabling the collection of the guided radiation by flexible PV cells applied on the borders of the down-shifting layer leading to an enhancem.nt of the PV energy conversion from.5%(in the case of the single-use of the lum.nescent down-shifting layer)to^13%com.aring with the bare PV *** overall electrical output of the device resulted in an absolute external quantum.efficiency increase of^32%for the optim.zed Eu^3+-based film. in the UV spectral region(com.ared with the bare PV device,which is am.ng the best values reported so far).

Background:The role of non-coding RNAs in the porcine m.scle m.tabolism.is poorly understood,with few studies investigating their expression patterns in response to nutrient ***,we aim.d to investigate the changes in m.croRNAs(m.RNAs),long intergenic non-coding RNAs(lincRNAs)and m.NAs m.scle expression before and after food ***:We m.asured the m.RNA,lincRNA and m.NA expression levels in the gluteus m.dius m.scle of 12 gilts in a fasting condition(AL-T0)and 24 gilts fed ad libitum.during either 5 h.(AL-T1,N=12)or 7 h.(AL-T2,N=12)prior to *** sm.ll RNA fraction was extracted from.m.scle sam.les retrieved from.the 36 gilts and sequenced,whereas lincRNA and m.NA expression data were already *** term. of m.an and variance,the expression profiles of m.RNAs and lincRNAs in the porcine m.scle were quite different than those of *** intake induced the differential expression of 149(AL-T0/AL-T1)and 435(AL-T0/AL-T2)m.NAs,6(AL-T0/AL-T1)and 28(AL-T0/AL-T2)m.RNAs and none lincRNAs,while the num.er of differentially dispersed genes was m.ch *** the set of differentially expressed m.RNAs,we identified ssc-m.R-148a-3p,ssc-m.R-22-3p and ssc-m.R-1,which play key roles in the regulation of glucose and lipid ***,co-expression network analyses revealed several m.RNAs that putatively interact with m.NAs playing key m.tabolic roles and that also showed differential expression before and after *** case exam.le was represented by seven m.RNAs(ssc-m.R-148a-3p,ssc-m.R-151-3p,ssc-m.R-30a-3p,ssc-m.R-30e-3p,ssc-m.R-421-5p,ssc-m.R-493-5p and ssc-m.R-503)which putatively interact with the PDK4 m.NA,one of the m.ster regulators of glucose utilization and fatty acid ***:As a whole,our results evidence that m.croRNAs are likely to play an im.ortant role in the porcine skeletal m.scle m.tabolic adaptation to nutrient availability.
