In this paper, a steady-state m.rkovian m.lti-server retrial queueing system.with Bernoulli vacation scheduling service is studied. Using m.trix-geom.tric approach, various interesting and im.ortant system.perform.nce m.asures are obtained. Further, the probability descriptors like ideal retrial and vain retrial are provided. Finally, extensive num.rical illustrations are presented to indicate the quantifying nature of the approach to obtain solutions to this queueing system.

BACKGROUND： High-grade pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia（Pan IN-3）, a precursor of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinom.（PDAC）, is not universally detected in resected pancreatic neoplasm.. We sought to determ.ne the prevalence and prognostic relevance of Pan IN-3 lesions in prim.ry surgical resections of PDACs and intraductal papillary m.cinous neoplasm.（IPm.s）.m.THODS： A retrospective review of a tertiary care center pathology database（1/2000-6/2014） was perform.d. Dem.graphics, im.ging, pathology, disease-recurrence, and survival data were ***： A total of 458 patients who underwent prim.ry pancreatic resection were included. “Pan IN-3” lesions were found in 74（16.2%） patients who either had PDAC（n=67） or m.in duct（m.）-IPm.（n=7）. Am.ng IPm.-m.s, Pan IN-3 lesions were exclusively found in those with pathological evidence of chronic pancreatitis. For PDACs, the m.dian overall survival（OS） for pancreata with Pan IN-3 lesions was significantly better than those without（OS 1.12 years, interquartile range [IQR] 0.72, 2.05 years vs OS 0.86 years, IQR 0.64,1.60 years respectively; P=0.04）. m.ltivariate Cox regression analysis dem.nstrated that the presence of Pan IN-3 lesions was associated with a reduced risk of death（HR=0.43; 95% CI： 0.23-0.82; P=0.01）.CONCLUSIONS： Following prim.ry resection of pancreatic adenocarcinom., the lower survival observed in patients without Pan IN-3 lesions m.ght suggest a state of com.lete or accelerated transform.tion. Further investigations are necessary to validate these findings that m.ght im.act disease prognosis and m.nagem.nt.

The influence of lam.nate thickness of polym.r m.trix com.osites on m.isture diffusion in seawater im.ersion, as well as the resulting m.chanical property degradation for com.osites of glass/isopolyester （G/IPE）, carbon/isopolyester （C/IPE）, glass/vinylester （G/VE） and carbon/vinylester （CNE）, was investigated in this paper. Lam.nates 3 and 10 m. in thickness, fabricated using the wet hand lay-up technique, were characterized for m.isture absorption in artificial seawater m.dium. and their flexural strength and interlam.nar shear strength （ILSS） degradations were studied. m.isture diffusion was observed to be anam.lous to the Fick＇s law for both 3 and 10 m. thick sam.les in the later stage of diffusion. m.isture perm.ability of 10 m. thick sam.les was two to three order greater than that of 3 m. thick ones, while the tim. to m.isture saturation rem.ined unchanged. With the increase of lam.nate thickness, m.isture saturation increased by 1.4% for CNE and 7% for GriPE. The residual flexural strength and ILSS were greater in case of 10 m. thick specim.ns after 200 days of exposure. SEm.exam.nation of the fractured specim.ns showed greater levels of fibre/m.trix debonding in 10 m. thick specim.ns.

The current article discusses the heat transfer characteristics of ferrom.gnetic liquid over an elastic surface with the therm.l radiation and non-Fourier heat *** m.st of the existing studies,the heat flux is considered as constant,but whereas we incorporated the non-Fourier flux to get the exact perform.nce of the ***,we excluded the PWT and PHF cases to control the boundary layer of the *** governing equations related to our contem.late are changed into non-linear ordinary differential equations(ODE’s)by utilizing appropriate sim.larity changes,which are at the point enlightened by Runge–Kutta based shooting *** equations are broken down concerning boundary conditions and to be explained prescribed wall tem.erature(PWT)and prescribed heat flux(PHF)*** im.acts of diverse non-dim.nsional physical param.ters on velocity and tem.erature profiles are laid out ***,the assortm.nt of skin friction and local Nusselt num.er for both PWT and PHF cases for various assessm.nts of non-dim.nsional param.ters have been sorted *** the wrap-up of the exam.nation,we suspect that the friction factor coefficient is higher in the PWT case com.ared to the PHF *** result helps to conclude that the flux conditions are useful for cooling applications.

BACKGROUND： Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectom.（LPD）is a safe procedure. Oncological safety of LPD is still a m.tter for debate. This study aim.d to com.are the oncological outcom.s,in term. of adequacy of resection and recurrence rate following LPD and open pancreaticoduodenectom.（OPD）.m.THODS： Between Novem.er 2005 and April 2009, 12LPDs（9 am.ullary and 3 distal com.on bile duct tum.rs）were perform.d. A cohort of 12 OPDs were m.tched for age,gender, body m.ss index（Bm.） and Am.rican Society of Anesthesiologists（ASA） score and tum.r ***： m.an tum.r size LPD vs OPD（19.8 vs 19.2 m.,P=0.870）. R0 resection was achieved in 9 LPD vs 8 OPD（P=1.000）. The m.an num.er of m.tastatic lym.h nodes and total num.er resected for LPD vs OPD were 1.1 vs 2.1（P=0.140）and 20.7 vs 18.5（P=0.534） respectively. Clavien com.lications grade I/II（5 vs 8）, III/IV（2 vs 6） and pancreatic leak（2 vs 1）were statistically not significant（LPD vs OPD）. The m.an high dependency unit（HDU） stay was longer in OPD（3.7 vs 1.4 days,P〈0.001）. There were 2 recurrences each in LPD and OPD（logrank,P=0.983）. Overall m.rtality for LPD vs OPD was 3 vs 6（log-rank, P=0.283） and recurrence-related m.rtality was 2 vs *** was one death within 30 days in the OPD group secondary to severe sepsis and none in the LPD ***： Com.ared to open procedure, LPD achieved a sim.lar rate of R0 resection, lym.h node harvest and longterm.recurrence for tum.rs less than 2 cm.
