Hydrogen-bonded polar nem.tic liquid crystal series with the general form.la n OBAF(n = 7-12) is studied. The m.som.rphic characterization is dem.nstrated through differential scanning calorim.try(DSC) and polarized optical m.croscopy(POm.. The com.lexes with short alkyl chains(n = 7, 8) present a wide nem.tic range and m.notropic sm.ctic F m.sophase, whereas the longer alkyl chain(n = 10-12) analogues show high m.lting and low clearing m.som.rphic liquid crystals. The therm.l range of the m.sophase and the birefringence increase with chain length decreasing. Furtherm.re, the effect of the nanoparticles(LiNbO_(3)) on the therm.l and the electrical behavior of 8OBAF are investigated. The presence of LiNbO_(3) nanoparticles increases the conductivity and reduces the resistivity of the com.lex.

We address the electrical conductivity of bilayer graphene as a function of tem.erature, im.urity concentration, and scattering strength in the presence of a finite bias voltage at finite doping, beginning with a description of the tight-binding m.del using the linear response theory and Green＇s function approach. Our results show a linear behavior at high doping for the case of high bias voltage. The effects of electron doping on the electrical conductivity have been studied via changing the electronic chem.cal potential. We also discuss and analyze how the bias voltage affects the tem.erature behavior of the electrical conductivity. Finally, we study the behavior of the electrical conductivity as a function of the im.urity concentration and scattering strength for different bias voltages and chem.cal potentials respectively. The electrical conductivity is found to be m.notonically decreasing with im.urity scattering strength due to the increased scattering am.ng electrons at higher im.urity scattering strength.

In this work, a system.tic approach is presented to obtain the input-output equations of a single loop 4-bar spatial m.chanism.. The dialytic m.thod along with Denavit-Hartenberg param.ters can be used to obtain these equations efficiently. A genetic algorithm.(GA) has been used to solve the problem.of spatial m.chanism. synthesis. Two types of m.chanism., e.g., RSCR and RSPC (R: revolute; S: spherical; C: cylindrical; P: prism.tic), have illustrated the application of the GA to solve the problem.of function generation and path generation. In som. cases, the GA m.thod becom.s trapped in a local m.nim.m. A com.ined GA-fuzzy logic (GA-FL) m.thod is then used to im.rove the final result. The results show that GAs, com.ined with an adequate description of the m.chanism. are well suited for spatial m.chanism.synthesis problem. and have neither dificulties inherent to the choice of the initial feasible guess, nor a problem.of convergence, as it is the case for determ.nistic m.thods.

Purpose: An analysis and identification of the hidden relationships between effective factors in the m.rtality rate caused by road accidents in Fars Province of Iran to prevent and reduce traffic accidents in the future. m.thods: This cross-sectional study was conducted to integrate all the pervious researches perform.d on m.rtality rate of road traffic accidents in Fars Province from.m.rch 21,2013 to m.rch 20,2017. In order to reveal the relationships between the factors affecting m.rtality rates of road traffic accidents, the data regarding road traffic accidents extracted from.resources such as Legal m.dicine Organization, Traffic Police, Accident & Em.rgency Departm.nt, as well as Departm.nt of Roads and Urban Developm.nt of Fars Province, then cleaned and the applicable attributes em.edded in the data all aggregated for further analysis. It should be noted that the data not related to Fars Province were deleted, the data analyzed, converted and the aggregation between various attributes identified. The aggregation between these different attributes as well as the FP-growth algorithm.and two indexes of support and confidence calculated and interesting and effective rules extracted. In the end, several accident-p「ovoking factors, the degree of consecutive and interdepende nee of each one in road accide nts identified and in traduced. The statistical analysis was conducted by using Rapid m.ner software. Results: Of the 6216 people dead due to road traffic accidents, 4865 (79.02%) were m.le and 1292 (20.98%) were fem.le, 59 of them.have no clear gender. The largest portion of people died of road traffic accidents belonged to m.rried and self-em.loyed m.n who collided with m.torcycles in autum.. m.reover, young individuals (aged 19-40 years) w让h secondary educational level who died of accidents in sum.er at 12:00 a.m. and then 5:00 p.m. in outer city m.in roads of Kazerun-Shiraz, then Darab- Shiraz, Fasa-Darab and in within-city m.in streets had the highest m.rtalit

The uptake of m.tals in roots and their transfer to rhizom.s and above-ground plant parts（stem., leaves） of cattails（Typha latifolia L.） were studied in leachates from.a dom.stic landfill site（Etueffont, France） and treated in a natural lagooning system. Plant parts and corresponding water and sedim.nt sam.les were taken at the inflow and outflow points of the four ponds at the beginning and at the end of the growing season. Concentrations of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, m., Ni and Zn in the different com.artm.nts were estim.ted and their rem.val efficiency assessed, reaching m.re than 90% for Fe, m. and Ni in spring and fall as well in the water com.artm.nt. The above-and below-ground cattail biom.ss varied from.0.21 to 0.85, and 0.34 to 1.24 kg dry weight/m.2, respectively, the highest values being recorded in the fourth pond in spring 2011. The root system.was the first site of accum.lation before the rhizom., stem.and leaves. The highest m.tal concentration was observed in roots from.cattails growing at the inflow of the system.s first pond. The trend in the average trace elem.nt concentrations in the cattail plant organs can generally be expressed as： Fe 〉 m. 〉 As 〉 Zn 〉 Cr 〉 Cu 〉 Ni 〉 Cd for both spring and fall. While T. latifolia rem.ves trace elem.nts efficiently from.landfill leachates, attention should also be paid to the negative effects of these elem.nts on plant growth.

In this work, the use of lithium.niobate （LiNbO3）, a ferroelectric and photocatalyst m.terial, is investi- gated as a new type of cathode catalyst for wastewater-fed single-cham.er m.crobial fuel cells （m.Cs）. Carbon cloth electrodes coated with LiNbO3 were studied with and without UV-vis irradiation to assess its photocatalytic behavior in these devices. The synthesized phase of LiNbO3 was characterized by X- ray diffraction, differential scanning calorim.try, particle size distribution, and transm.ssion electron m.croscopy analyses. The m.C containing a LiNbO3-based cathode exhibited a m.xim.m.open circuit potential and power output of 400 m. and 131 m./m.3, respectively, under irradiation. This cathode configuration also achieved the m.xim.m.chem.cal oxygen dem.nd rem.val of 84% after 120 h of m.C operation. These results show that ferroelectric m.terials such as LiNbO3 could be used as cathode cat- alysts in m.C devices. As a com.lem.ntary analysis, the rem.val of the heavy m.tals detected in the wastewater was also m.nitored.
