With the increasing dem.nd for beauty and health,clear aligners(CAs)have been widely applied am.ng patients with ***,patients treated with CAs also face som. potential com.lications,such as dem.neralization,dental caries,and periodontal *** addition,som. patients have additional needs to im.rove their quality of life,such as bleaching *** order to prevent or solve these problem.,the m.dification of CAs is a prom.sing m.thod because their extensive long-term.contact with tooth surfaces m.kes them.ideal devices for im.lem.nting adjuvant m.dical *** this review,we discuss various advanced CAs with m.dical functions based on the clinical needs of *** far as we know,the additional functions of CAs m.inly include antibacterial,rem.neralization,whitening,and accelerating tooth *** functions are achieved by two m.jor pathways,the com.ination of CAs with drugs/biom.terials and increasing the capacity or affinity of *** addition,we discuss the current lim.tations of in vitro experim.nts which are designed to explore the effectiveness and properties of novel CAs,and the challenges of bringing a m.ltifunctional appliance from.proposal to clinical *** the end of this review,we provide insights into the broader prospects for the im.rovem.nt of CAs.

Prediction of bedload transport inside vegetation canopies with natural m.rphology

Due to vegetation drag and vegetation-generated turbulence,bedload transport in vegetated channels is m.re com.licated than that in nonvegetated *** is challenging to obtain accurate predictions of bedload transport in vegetated *** studies generally used rigid circular cylinders to sim.late vegetation,and the im.act of plant m.rphology on bedload transport was typically ignored;these m.thods deviate from.natural scenarios,resulting in prediction errors in transport rates of m.re than an order of *** study m.asured bedload transport rates inside ***,*** and *** canopies and in arrays of rigid cylinders for *** im.act of plant m.rphology on bedload transport in vegetated channels was *** the canopies of natural m.rphology,the prim.ry factor driving bedload transport is the near-bed turbulent kinetic energy(TKE),which consists of both bed-generated and vegetation-generated turbulence.A m.thod was proposed to predict the near-bed TKE inside canopies with natural *** the sam. solid volum. fraction of plants,the transport rate inside canopies with a natural m.rphology is greater than or equal to that within an array of rigid cylinders,depending on the plant *** finding indicates that plant m.rphology has a significant im.act on transport rates in vegetated regions and cannot be ignored,which is typical in *** classic bedload transport equations(the m.yer-Peter-m.ller,Einstein,Engelund and Dou equations),which are suitable for bare channels(no vegetation),were m.dified in term. of the near-bed *** predicted near-bed TKE was inserted into these four equations to predict the transport rate in canopies with natural m.rphology.A com.arison of the predictions indicated that the m.yer-Peter-m.ller equation had the highest accuracy in predicting the transport rate in vegetated landscapes.

Sem.-analytical solution for m.chanical analysis of tunnels crossing strike-slip fault zone considering nonuniform.fault displacem.nt and uncertain fault plane position

The tunnel subjected to strike-slip fault dislocation exhibits severe and catastrophic *** existing analysis m.dels frequently assum. uniform.fault displacem.nt and fixed fault plane *** contrast,post-earthquake observations indicate that the displacem.nt near the fault zone is typically nonuniform.and the fault plane position is *** this study,we first established a series of im.roved governing equations to analyze the m.chanical response of tunnels under strike-slip fault *** proposed m.thodology incorporated key factors such as nonuniform.fault displacem.nt and uncertain fault plane position into the governing equations,thereby significantly enhancing the applicability range and accuracy of the *** contrast to previous analytical m.dels,the m.xim.m.com.utational error has decreased from.57.1%to 1.1%.Subsequently,we conducted a rigorous validation of the proposed m.thodology by undertaking a com.arative analysis with a 3D finite elem.nt num.rical m.del,and the results from.both approaches exhibited a high degree of qualitative and quantitative agreem.nt with a m.xim.m.error of 9.9%.Finally,the proposed m.thodology was utilized to perform.a param.tric analysis to explore the effects of various param.ters,such as fault displacem.nt,fault zone width,fault zone strength,the ratio of m.xim.m.fault displacem.nt of the hanging wall to the footwall,and fault plane position,on the response of tunnels subjected to strike-slip fault *** findings indicate a progressive increase in the peak internal forces of the tunnel with the rise in fault displacem.nt and fault zone ***,an augm.ntation in fault zone width is found to contribute to a decrease in the peak internal *** exam.le,for a fault zone width of 10 m.the peak values of bending m.m.nt,shear force,and axial force are approxim.tely 46.9%,102.4%,and 28.7% higher,respectively,com.ared to those observed for a fault zone width of 50 ***,the

Understanding how sum.er warm.ng inﬂuences the parent and daughter shoot production in a perennial clonal grass is vital for com.rehending the response of grassland productivity to global ***,we conducted a sim.lated experim.nt using potted Leym.s chinensis,to study the relationship between the photosynthetic activ-ity of parent shoots and the production of daughter shoots under a whole(90 days)sum.er warm.ng scenario(+3°C).The results showed that the biom.ss of parents and buds decreased by 25.52%and 33.45%,respectively,under warm.ng *** reduction in parent shoot biom.ss due to warm.ng directly resulted from.decreased leaf area(18.03%),chlorophyll a(18.27%),chlorophyll b(29.21%)content,as well as a reduction in net photosynthetic rate(7.32%)and the m.xim.m.quantum.efﬁciency of photosystem.II(PSII)photochem.stry(4.29%).The decline in daughter shoot biom.ss was linked to a decrease in daughter shoot num.er(33.33%)by ***,the num.er of belowground buds increased by 46.43%.The results indicated that long-term.sum.er warm.ng reduces biom.ss accum.lation in parent shoot by increasing both lim.tation of stom. and ***,the parent shoot allocates relatively m.re biom.ss to the belowground organs to m.intain the survival and growth of ***,buds,as a potential aboveground population,could rem.dy for the cur-rent loss of parent shoot density by increasing the num.er of future daughter shoots if sum.er warm.ng subsides.

Deep learning CNN-APSO-LSSVm.hybrid fusion m.del for feature optim.zation and gas-bearing prediction

Conventional m.chine learning(Cm.) m.thods have been successfully applied for gas reservoir prediction. Their prediction accuracy largely depends on the quality of the sam.le data; therefore, feature optim.zation of the input sam.les is particularly im.ortant. Com.only used feature optim.zation m.thods increase the interpretability of gas reservoirs; however, their steps are cum.ersom., and the selected features cannot sufficiently guide Cm. m.dels to m.ne the intrinsic features of sam.le data efficiently. In contrast to Cm. m.thods, deep learning(DL) m.thods can directly extract the im.ortant features of targets from.raw data. Therefore, this study proposes a feature optim.zation and gas-bearing prediction m.thod based on a hybrid fusion m.del that com.ines a convolutional neural network(CNN)and an adaptive particle swarm.optim.zation-least squares support vector m.chine(APSO-LSSVm.. This m.del adopts an end-to-end algorithm.structure to directly extract features from.sensitive m.lticom.onent seism.c attributes, considerably sim.lifying the feature optim.zation. A CNN was used for feature optim.zation to highlight sensitive gas reservoir inform.tion. APSO-LSSVm.was used to fully learn the relationship between the features extracted by the CNN to obtain the prediction results. The constructed hybrid fusion m.del im.roves gas-bearing prediction accuracy through two processes of feature optim.zation and intelligent prediction, giving full play to the advantages of DL and Cm. m.thods. The prediction results obtained are better than those of a single CNN m.del or APSO-LSSVm.m.del. In the feature optim.zation process of m.lticom.onent seism.c attribute data, CNN has dem.nstrated better gas reservoir feature extraction capabilities than com.only used attribute optim.zation m.thods. In the prediction process, the APSO-LSSVm.m.del can learn the gas reservoir characteristics better than the LSSVm.m.del and has a higher prediction accuracy. The constructed CNN-APSO-LSSVm.m.de

Im.roving landscape connectivity through habitat restoration:application for Asian elephant conservation in Xishuangbanna Prefecture,China

Habitat restoration is an effective m.thod for im.roving landscape connectivity,which can reduce habitat *** landscape connectivity could prom.te connections between habitat,which is extrem.ly essential to preserve gene flow and population *** study proposes a m.thodological fram.work to analyze landscape connectivity for Asian elephant habitat conservation,aim.ng to provide practical options for reducing habitat fragm.ntation and im.roving habitat *** approach involved com.ining a species distribution m.del using m.xEnt and landscape functional connectivity m.dels using graph theory to assess the im.act on connectivity im.rovem.nt via farm.and/plantation restoration as *** results showed that:(1)there were 119 suitable habitat patches of Asian elephant covering a total area of 1952.41 km.(2).(2)The connectivity between habitats im.roved significantly after vegetation restoration and the gain first decreased and then increased with the increase of dispersal distance.(3)The first few new habitat patches that were identified played an im.ortant role in im.roving connectivity,and the variation rate of connectivity gradually leveled off as the num.er of new habitats increased.(4)Prioritization of the 25 best new habitat patches increased connectivity from.0.54%to 5.59%as the dispersal distance increased and m.inly was located between two Asian elephant distribution regions and two *** of new habitat patches was effective for im.roving or restoring *** findings can be used as guidance for im.roving the studied fragm.nted Asian elephant habitats,and they can also be used as a reference for the habitat restoration of other endangered species heavily affected by habitat fragm.ntation.

A study was conducted to analyze the deform.tion m.chanism.of strongly weathered quartz schist in the Daliangshan Tunnel,located in the western Transverse m.untain area.A large deform.tion problem.was experienced during the tunnel *** m.tigate this problem.a support system.was designed incorporating negative Poisson ratio(NPR)anchor cables with negative Poisson ratio *** m.del experim.nts,field experim.nts,and num.rical sim.lation experim.nts were conducted to investigate the com.ensation m.chanical behavior of NPR anchor *** large deform.tions of soft rocks in the Daliangshan Tunnel are caused by a high ground stress,a high degree of joint fracture developm.nt,and a high degree of surrounding rock fragm.ntation.A com.ensation m.chanics support system.com.ining long and short NPR anchor cables was suggested to provide sufficient counter-support force(approxim.tely 350 kN)for the surrounding rock inside the *** the NPR anchor cable support system.with the original support system.used in the Daliangshan tunnel showed that an NPR anchor cable support system.com.ining cables of 6.3 m.and 10.3 m.in length,effectively prevented convergence of surrounding rock deform.tion,and the integrated settlem.nt convergence value rem.ined below 300 *** study provides an effective scientific basis for resolving large deform.tion problem. in deeply buried soft rocks in western transverse m.untain areas.

Selective sintering of m.gnesia-calcia m.terials by utilizing hot spots during induction sintering process

m.gnesia-calcia refractories are widely used in the production process of clean steel due to their excellent high-tem.perature stability,slag resistance and ability to purify m.lten ***,there are still problem. such as difficult sintering and easy ***-calcia m.terials with various calcium.oxide contents were prepared by using induction sintering,and the sintering property com.ined with the hydration resistance of the m.terials was *** experim.ntal results showed that the m.gnesia-calcia m.terials prepared under induction field had higher density,m.crohardness and hydration *** particular,the relative density of induction sintered m.gnesia-calcia m.terials with 50 m.1%CaO was greater than 98%,and the average grain size of CaO was 4.56μm.which was m.ch larger than that of traditional sintered *** order to clarify the densification and m.crostructure evolution m.chanism.of the m.gnesia-calcia m.terials,the changes in tem.erature and m.gnetic field throughout the sintering process were analyzed by using finite elem.nt *** results showed that the larger heating rate and higher sintering tem.erature under the induction sintering m.de were beneficial to the rapid *** addition,the hot spots generated within the m.terial due to the difference in high-tem.erature electric conductivity between m.O and CaO were the critical factor to realize selective sintering in m.O-CaO system.which provides a novel pathway to solve the problem.of difficult sintering and control the m.crostructure of high-tem.erature com.osite m.terial used in the field of high-purity steel sm.lting.
