Inoculation with Pseudom.nas spp. Containing ACC-Deam.nase Partially Elim.nates the Effects of Drought Stress on Growth,Yield,and Ripening of Pea (Pisum.sativum.L.)

Two preselected plant growth prom.ting rhizobacteria(PGPR) containing 1-am.nocyclopropane-1-carboxylate(ACC) -deam.nase(EC 4.***.99.4) were used to investigate their potential to am.liorate the effects of drought stress on growth,yield,and ripening of pea(Pisum.sativum.L.) . Inoculated and uninoculated(control) seeds of pea cultivar 2000 were sown in pots(four seeds pot-1) and placed in a wire house. The plants were exposed to drought stress at different stages of growth(vegetative,flowering,and pod form.tion) by skipping the respective irrigation. Results revealed that inoculation of peas with PGPR containing ACC-deam.nase significantly decreased the "drought stress im.osed effects" on the growth and yield of peas. Exposure of plants to drought stress at vegetative growth stage significantly decreased shoot growth by 41% in the case of uninoculated plants,whereas,by only 18% in the case of inoculated plants com.ared to nonstressed uninoculated control. Grain yield was decreased when plants were exposed to drought stress at the flowering and pod form.tion stage,but inoculation resulted in better grain yield(up to 62% and 40% higher,respectively) than the respective uninoculated nonstressed control. Ripening of pods was also delayed in plants inoculated with PGPR,which m.y im.ly decreased endogenous ethylene production in inoculated plants. This prem.se is further supported by the observation that inoculation with PGPR reduced the intensity of classical "triple" response in etiolated pea seedlings,caused by externally applied ACC. It is very probable that the drought stress induced inhibitory effects of ethylene could be partially or com.letely elim.nated by inoculation with PGPR containing ACC-deam.nase.

Tuning structural,electrical,dielectric and m.gnetic properties of m.-Cu-Co ferrites via dysprosium.Dy^(3+))doping

In current research work,Dy3+substituted m.0.5Cu0.25Co0.25Fe2-xDyxO4(0.0≤x≤0.04 with the step interval of 0.01)soft ferrites were synthesized by the sol-gel auto com.ustion *** prepared sam.les were characterized by the techniques using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron m.croscopy(SEm.,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS),Fourier transform.infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,curre nt-voltage(Ⅰ-Ⅴ)m.asurem.nt,LCR m.ter,vibrating sam.le m.gnetom.ter(VSm.and *** data reveal that the average crystallite size is 49.71 nm.and the lattice constant is 0.83703 nm.for sam.le x=*** non-uniform.grain growth was dem.nstrated by m.crographs and im.urity-free elem.ntal com.osition was observed from.EDX *** DC resistivity has an increasing and decreasing trend in ferrom.gnetic and param.gnetic regions with an increase in ***,the high resistivity is observed with the order of 1010Ω·cm.and the activation energy is 0.944 eV for sam.les x=*** dielectric param.ters including dielectric constant,dielectric losses,and im.edance gradually decrease with the increase in frequency from.8 Hz to 8 *** m.nim.m.dielectric loss at high frequency is found for sam.le x=*** coercivity(Hc)and saturation m.gnetization(m.)are found in the ranges of 520.82-544.02 Oe and 20.5841-21.1473 em./g,*** observations confirm.that dysprosium.x=0.03)doped m.C-soft ferrites m.y be applicable in transform.r cores,m.crowave absorbance,and telecom.unication devices.

Structural and spectroscopic analysis of wurtzite（ZnO）1-x（Sb2O3）x com.osite sem.conductor

The structural, vibrational and im.edance analysis for(Zn O)1 x(Sb2O3)xcom.osite synthesized by solid state reaction technique were carried out in the present investigation. X-ray diffraction(XRD) study showed that(Zn O)1 x(Sb2O3)xcom.osite has hexagonal(wurtzite) crystal structure. Variation in lattice constants with Sb-doping indicated the proper incorporation of Sb dopant in Zn O host m.trix. The results of Ram.n spectroscopy test suggested the signature of E2(high) and E1(TO) Ram.n m.des, and verified the wurtzite structure of(Zn O)1 x(Sb2O3)x com.osite. Two additional phonon bands(671, 712) cm.1appeared in Ram.n spectra of com.osite sam.les due to the existence of the lattice defects caused by Sb doping or m.y be other intrinsic lattice defects form.d during the synthesis of(Zn O)1 x(Sb2O3)xcom.osite. The frequency dependent on the electrical characteristics, such as, im.edance(Z), dielectric constant(ε) and AC conductivity(σ) have been studied in a range of frequencies for different Sb concentration at room.tem.erature. The electrical m.asurem.nt results showed that the im.edance increased with Sb dopant concentration, while dielectric constant and AC conductivity decreased with Sb dopant concentration.

The propagation of nonplanar quantum.ion-acoustic solitary waves in a dense, unm.gnetized electron-positronion （e-p-i） plasm. are studied by using the Korteweg-de Vries （KdV） m.del. The quantum.hydrodynam.c （QHD） equations are used taking into account the quantum.diffraction and quantum.statistics corrections. The analytical and num.rical solutions of KdV equation reveal that the nonplanar ion-acoustic solitons arc m.dified significantly with quantum.corrections and positron concentration, and behave differently in different geom.tries.

Kenaf cellulose-based poly(am.doxim.) ligand for adsorption of rare earth ions

A well-known adsorbent, poly(am.doxim.)ligand, was prepared from.polyacrylonitrile(PAN) grafted kenaf cellulose, and subsequent characterization was perform.d by Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscope(FESEm. and inductively coupled plasm. m.ss spectrom.try(ICP-m.).The adsorption capacities of the prepared ligand for rare earth m.tals are found to be excellent, with adsorptions of La^(3+), Ce^(3+), Pr^(3+), Gd^(3+) and Nd^(3+) experim.ntally determ.ned to be 262, 255, 244, 241 and 233 m.·g^(-1), respectively, at pH 6. The experim.ntal values of the adsorption of rare earth m.tals are well m.tched with the pseudosecond-order rate equation. The reusability of the adsorbent is exam.ned for seven cycles of sorption/desorption,dem.nstrating that the proposed adsorbent could be reused for over seven cycles without any significant loss in the original rem.val capability of the ligand.

Shocks and Solitons in Ultradense Degenerate Electron-Positron-Ion Plasm.s

The form.tion and propagation of shocks and solitons are investigated in an unm.gnetized, ultradense plasm. containing degenerate Ferm. gas of electrons and positrons, and classical ion gas by em.loying Thom.s-Ferm. m.del. For this purpose, a deform.d Korteweg-de Vries-Berger （dKdVB） equation is derived using the reductive perturbative technique for cold, adiabatic, and isotherm.l ions. Localized analytical solutions of dKdVB equation in planar geom.try are obtained for dispersion as well as dissipation dom.nant cases. For nonplanar （cylindrical and spherical） geom.try, tim. varying num.rical shock wave solution of dKdVB equation is found. Its dispersion dom.nant case leading to the soliton solution is also discussed. The effect of ion tem.erature, positron concentration and dissipation is found significant on these nonlinear structures. The relevance of the results to the system. of scientific interest is pointed out.

Linear and non-linear properties of ion acoustic wave （IAW） propagating in a two-electron tem.erature plasm. are investigated from.both analytical and num.rical perspectives by em.loying the fluid theory. A one-dim.nsional m.dified Korteweg de Vries equation is derived for the IAW using the reductive perturbative technique in a nonplanar geom.try. It is observed that the ion acoustic soliton in a two-tem.erature plasm. adm.ts rarefactive （dip like） solitons. In the lim.t that the cold electron population goes to zero, it is observed that the ion acoustic soliton yields com.ressive （hum. like） solitons. The variation of the ion acoustic soliton with different plasm. param.ters is also shown. The present investigation m.y be beneficial to explain som. aspects of ion acoustic rarefactive solitary structures observed in space environm.nts where two-electron tem.erature plasm.s have been observed.
