Ba.kground: Hem.pa.hies were ra.ely observed in m.jor sickle cell disea.e pa.ients som. thirty yea.s a.o, proba.ly due to the high m.rta.ity ra.e a.0}ng the la.ter a. a.result of progressive com.lica.ions. Tha.ks to a.va.ces in the m.na.em.nt of sickle cell disea.e, pa.ients' life expecta.cy ha. increa.ed considera.ly, exposing them.m.re frequently to neopla.ia. including hem.tologica. m.ligna.cies. The increa.ed risk of leukem.genesis is m.ltifa.toria. a.d linked to the pa.hophysiologica. m.cha.ism. of the clinica. m.nifesta.ions of sickle cell disea.e. Study Setting: The clinica. ha.m.tology depa.tm.nt of ca.0}us tea.hing hospita. a.d the pa.dia.ric onco-ha.m.tology unit of Sylva.us Olym.io tea.hing hospita. in Lom. were used a. study settings. Observa.ions: Four hem.tologic m.ligna.cies were collected in a.cohort of 5847 m.jor sickle cell syndrom.s. The m.dia. a.e of the pa.ients wa. 31.25 yea.s (extrem.s: 14 a.d 58 yea.s) a.d they were predom.na.tly fem.le (sex ra.io m.F = 0.25). Two were on ba.kground thera.y with hydroxyurea. a.0}ng the four pa.ients, there were two ca.es of a.ute lym.hocytic leukem.a. including a.L3 in a.58-yea.-old SS wom.n a.d T-a.L2 in a.12-yea.-old SC. Then, a.ca.e of lym.hocytic lym.hom. in a.20-yea.-old SS m.n wa. reported a.d fina.ly a.ca.e of chronic m.elocytic leukem.a.in a.33-yea.-old wom.n of Sβ+ tha.a.sa.m.a.phenotype. Conclusion: To further report this coexistence, it is therefore essentia. to system.tica.ly consider hem.tologica. m.ligna.cies during m.jor sickle cell syndrom.s even if there a.e sim.la.ities in the sym.tom.tology of these two serious pa.hologica. situa.ions.

The technica. issue of expa.ding the trea.m.nt volum. a.ound the Gross Tum.r Volum. (GTV) is a.current deba.e. Ra.iothera.y centers use va.ia.le GTV-PTV m.rgins, ra.ging from.one to 2 m.. m.teria. a.d m.thods: We perform.d a.dosim.tric com.a.ison in pla.s of twenty pa.ients using three m.rgins: PTV zero, PTV1, a.d PTV2. We a.so developed im.gina.y Peel volum.s. These volum.s a.e described a. follows: Peel1 = PTV1 − GTV, Peel2 = PTV2 − GTV. Results: Our results showed tha. the m.a. PTV volum. differed significa.tly a.ross the different m.rgins (p = 0.000). The V12 of the bra.n significa.tly va.ied a. a.function of PTV m.rgin (p = 0.000). The ta.get covera.e a.d pla. qua.ity indices were not significa.tly different. The Peel volum. dosim.tric a.a.ysis showed tha. the m.a. dose wa. significa.tly higher in the nea.by norm.l bra.n tissue: Peel1 (p = 0.022) a.d Peel 2 (p = 0.013).
